"Ladies and Gents, the Chief have decided to celebrate the arrival of the survivors from the raided town, a commemoration for the new townsmen will begin right before the last strike of six. Please prepare yourself and rejoice!"
I woke up to the sound of the loud trumpets, announcing the gathering that will be held later afternoon. With no plan of getting scolded, I took a bath and wore the clothes I used to wear every day. I decided to move the preparation for myself later since it won't take too long for me to get dressed. I went to where the girls were and found them eating inside their chambers. The boys also went in, they have planned to eat together since they were still not used to the place.
"A party? For us?" Serena excitedly asked and placed down her spoon when she heard the announcement which was retold by a servant.
"Yes, Serena. That's why you should hurry up so we can prepare you for the celebration," I told her and helped her wipe her mouth with a napkin.
"I've never been into a party, though." Mirena softly uttered while looking at her younger sister.
"What's it like?" Serena asked.
I poured some water into her cup before answering. "Hmm, I don't know. I've never been on one too,"
"Really? In your age?" Shaun asked with a shocked face.
"Yep, never thought of joining one too," I answered and stood up.
"That means you should all finish your tasks early and get ready for the celebration."
All our heads turned to the side when we heard a familiar voice, the children smiled upon seeing Josh leaning on the door frame. Serena went to give him a hug and I saw Josh's indentations showing up as he carried Serena in his arms. She hangs her hand around Josh's nape and held from there, her face was glowing.
"What's a party like, Josh?" Mirena asked, she was sitting beside me and was licking her spoon clean.
"Hmm," Josh hummed.
"Hmm?" Serena mimicked him.
"You should see it for yourself, little one," Josh answered and followed his words with a chuckle.
"Alright! I want to be surprised!" the petite girl raised her hands happily while Josh was holding her.
"Surprises are for little girls, Josh! Give us a hint," Shaun swiped his words which made everyone look at him.
"I'll tell you later," Josh winked at them and they all ended up laughing. I admit but it made me hide a giggle.
Josh and I helped the kids clean their place, the servants handed us some wet towels to wipe off the table. We don't want to be late and especially we disliked the idea of getting scolded for being not on time so we decided to split up and prepare the kids and ourselves as well.
