"What should we do about the former Vice-Captain, Sire?" I dropped a question while Josh was reading the notes that were taken earlier.
"Hmm," he hummed while holding a page from his notes. "Where is he, again?" he asked.
"In the dungeon, Sire." I answered correspondingly.
Josh nodded and closed his notes before standing up. He pushed his chair to the back and stared at me for a second. "We should pay him a visit."
I lead the way towards the prison cell, the guards opened the main gate and took a bow as soon as they saw Josh. He immediately went to where Liam was placed, he was surrounded by soldiers while the other ones who had the higher positions went to guard Kali in her cell.
The windows were shut down as ordered by the Chief, he thinks that Josh might end up stabbing us in the back and escape from those open holes. When we arrived in front of where Liam was locked, I saw him sitting on the floor, hugging his knees with his head down.
"Liam," Josh started and it made Liam raise his head to see what was in front of him.
Instead of applying courtesy and respect towards the Chief, he stood up and crossed his arms while taking his steps. "So, will I be accompanying Kali in the pits of hell?" he asked, chin up.
"If you'd like to then I'd be delighted to grant it for you." Josh answered coldly as he crosses his arms in front of Liam too.
Liam scoffed and pushed his lips to the side after hearing what the Chief said. "You make me laugh," he declared and looked back at Josh. "...but it's not funny."
"Of course it's not, who told you it was?" Josh answered with a touch of sarcasm, keeping his seriousness in the mood.
Liam rolled his eyes and placed both his hands on the cell bars. "Stop beating around the bush and tell me what you want. I know you didn't come here just to piss me off."
"You're right, I didn't come here to piss you off." Josh uttered and walked near to the bars as he faced Liam with eyes fiery as hell.
"Then why are you here?" Liam hissed softly.
Josh, on the other hand, paused while they continued to stare at each others' eyes, fighting with it. "Captain, some light please."
As soon as Josh commanded me to brighten up the room, I immediately looked at the torches and pointed my hand in its direction. A torch from the right lit up and the others followed one by one. Now, it was bright enough for them to look in their eyes.
"I am a man of my words, Liam. I hold on to it. I live with it and when I said that your honesty would somehow save you from death, I mean what I said." Josh uttered as he stared into Liam's eyes.
Liam raised a brow upon hearing Josh's response. "I don't care where you put me but as long as I live, you can mark my words as well. I regret every single thing I have done, in accordance with Kali's wants."
