"What are you saying?"

Gossips entered the room earlier when Josh unleashed a sword and pointed it towards Paul, now another batch of tattles and whispers came when a word from my mouth exited. Right after I mentioned and revealed to everyone who was in the room that Paul is my father, the nurses couldn't avoid asking one another regarding the revelation they just heard.

"You heard me, Josh, there's no need to repeat myself." I held the sword in my hand and pointed it towards him, Paul himself was surprised as well. He was left silenced behind my back.

Josh couldn't keep a blind eye to this. He squinted his eyes and longed for answers. "Captain Dankworth," he called out. "Follow me in the barracks, now."

He turned around but halted right away. "And please, drop the sword."

I looked at Paul who was behind me, he was stunned to see me block Josh's way to end his life and was surprised to know what I was to him. I sighed before dropping the sword on the floor. It clung which made the nurses jump out of fright. I followed Josh right into the barracks, when we arrived he placed his hands on his waist and looked at me with eyes blazing from questions.

He inhaled and exhaled deeply. "Would you like to explain to me what that commotion was all about?"

I gulped and looked at him directly before answering. "Paul's my biological father, he mar-"

"Wait, wait. I heard that part already, what makes you so sure that your assumptions are right?" he cut me off as he gestured with his hand.

"The face of the man who left me and my mom when I was four will never be a forgotten sight for me, I can't be wrong, I can't." I began to shiver, my knees started to shake, and my voice was about to break. I hid my right hand behind me and squeezed my fist as I try to prevent myself from crying.

"Since when did you figure this out?" he asked again, he now crossed his arms and leaned on the sword table.

"From the start, ever since I saw him return from traveling places. From the very moment my eyes laid upon his at the main hall, I knew it. I knew it was him," my visions blurred as the tears from my eyes were already overlapping, preparing themselves to roll on my cheeks.

"Are you indeed certain?" hearing his question made me close my eyes in pain, it drove my tears down.

I bit my lips and burst off. "How can you doubt me when you don't even know anything?! "

My tears ran free, showing the pain I possess deep inside me. The feeling of losing a father, yes, it doesn't pair up to the pain I felt when I lost my mother but the torment it brought me to see him leave was another kind of torture. "You probably wouldn't know the feeling of seeing a person like him back after he left you hanging! When you were nothing! When you have nothing!"

I exclaimed, I saw a tear escape his eye. I know he knows that it's not only him who was in pain. "I know you're in pain too, Jill. I can see it in your eyes that pain never left your side but you managed not to show it, you coped with it,"
