"Father!"

My mouth automatically produced a smile when I saw dad standing in front of me wearing his white suit. He was better, he smiled at me and offered me his hand. I immediately walked towards him and gave me a hug. I never expected this to happen, I never thought I'd spend time with my dad after what happened.

"Father?" Liam, who was standing beside me was surprised when he heard what I addressed the man whom he knew as Paul.

I pulled myself away from him and smiled. "You're right, he's my dad,"

Liam's eyes suddenly went wide while he gasped. "You're the bastard that made her mother cry every night?!"

He made his way towards my dad and began to grab him by his collar. "And you're the coward who only watched them while they wept?"

I moved my lips to the side and chuckled to myself when I heard what my dad responded. Dad's words made Liam loosen his grip since it left him speechless. I shook my head when I saw them looking at each other fiercely, I sighed and walked to them to pull them away from each other. "Move, Liam. He just came out from bed,"

"Tsk, tsk! This is why I told your mom not to let guys like him come near you, hmm, your looks don't match with your actions!" Dad warned. He looked at Liam as if he was a mad young man.

"Go! Have fun watching the kids," I uttered and jokingly pushed Liam away.

He rolled his eyes and smirked before going to where the children were. Father and I started to dance formally while our hands laid to each other. The feeling of finally having someone to lean on aside from your friends. Even though something terrible happened long ago, it was misunderstood and now that it's slowly getting solved, I couldn't be happier.

"Is he the man?" Dad asked while we danced on the aisle.

"What man?" I furrowed my brows and asked him back.

"Then I guess he's not," Dad concluded the topic right away, I couldn't keep up with his words but he managed to make me dodge the hole.

Holding my father's hand was the wish I made a long time ago. I never imagined that it will somehow come true. The soft lights, the calm music made such peace to my ears. Seeing my dad smile in front of me while our hands intertwined was too much of a delicacy. But the fear of losing him rose to my mind, I tried to stay calm while staring deeply into his eyes.

I looked around while the music was continuing its work, unfortunately, my eyes caught something irritatable. Josh, on the other hand, was smiling while he dances with the maiden in front of her. Janessa, the maiden of Holdsgate placed her hand on Josh's shoulder while they intertwined with the other. I bit my lips when I felt a sudden pain inside my chest.

"Captain," Dad and I immediately stopped dancing when a soldier approached me from behind.
