"Please give her at least half a dozen apples a day,"

I caressed the horse's hair as I took my last chance of looking at her. She was still as white as before since the stable watcher was taking good care of her. I decided to let her stay since I might have difficulties feeding her when I'm all alone out there with no plans of where to stay.

"Are you sure you won't let her accompany you?" the watcher asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, it'd be best for her to stay here. She has you to take care of her,"

"Will you be traveling by feet?" he questioned when he tried to let loose the horse.

"I guess so," I sighed.

"You're gonna be fine, Jill," he tapped my shoulder and gave me a subtle smile. "I know you, you're strong,"

It made me produce a smile as well, seeing him not having fear towards me. "Thank you,"

I watched the horse as it takes its time eating the fruits the watcher gave her. She safe and well here, she'll be in trouble once she goes along with me and I find it better for her to stay since she has someone to take care of her instead of risking such precious time and life.

"Where do you plan on going now, Jill?" he asked as walked with me as I walk my way towards the gates.

"I don't know, maybe I'll think of one once I empty my mind when I start to travel," I answered, I was holding my bow and was planning to hang it along my shoulder as I go. My arrows were placed in a stack that was behind me as well.

"You know what, I'll tell you one thing. I don't know if this can help you move on but I'll give myself a chance to try." he walked going in front of me and started to speak.

"As long as you can hold on to something, make it worth living."

I smiled after hearing his words of motivation, I thanked him for helping me move towards further developments. I started to travel, hugging myself from the blizzard that kept on blowing. Good thing, Mirena gave me a thick fur coat before leaving. The sun was already up but the heat can't stand its way against the cold.

Even though I had the ability to manipulate the cold, I tried my best not to use any of it and make an effort in living and succeeding in this dilemma normally. The cold wind made my skin shiver so much despite the thick piece of clothing I had, the soft ground of snow allowed my feet to bury themselves on it and the subtle storm slowed me down.

I decided to go to the village where I lived before, I think soldiers already left the scene since they had nothing to do with the structures and buildings which were destroyed and bombed months ago. I spent two days and one night traveling by feet, I slept in caves and ate fruits. When I arrived, nothing was beyond useful. Everything was broken, blocks turned to ashes and houses became unfit to be lived in.

"Hey, Mom,"

I talked to myself, about my Mom. I built a monument, a pile of stones perhaps which would indicate or serve as her tombstone. I talked to it and gave it a new meaning, it will now provide a memorial place for my late mother.
