27th September 1999, Burke Cottage.

Katherine insisted that they try and talk to Rhea's mother, it couldn't be a coincidence that Rhea was acting strange to, not after her cousin Max Burke was hexed. Theo told Katherine to go ahead to Aimee Burke's to see her about Rhea. Theo meanwhile was going to work up a plan with Blaise.

Katherine sat in Aimee Burke's cottage, where she and Aimee were waiting for Rhea's father to come and join them. A tall man, with long black curly hair, walked into the room, planting a kiss on his wife's cheek. He was very handsome even for a 40-year-old man.

"You said, you had some news for us?" Aimee asked

"Yeah, have you heard from Rhea recently?" Katherine asked, Aimee looked at her husband he rested his hand on hers

"Not since Fred told us what happened?" her husband answered

"I have reason to believe that she's been infected with a toxin, possibly the same as what your nephew had in his system," Katherine explained

"Do you have any idea who might have done this?" Aimee asked

"No, but I was hoping you could provide some insight as to why Rhea might want to hurt Blaise Zabini?" Katherine asked

"I can't see her wanting to hurt anybody," Aimee's husband said.

"Okay, thank you for your time, if you hear from her could you notify me?" she asked, Aimee and her husband nodded their heads

Katherine left for Nott Manor, she had almost forgotten that she had moved home, after all, she hadn't been living at Nott Manor for a week yet. Katherine felt so out of place there, Theo had grown up there, and evidently, the children had too, she felt like an outsider, intruding in their home.

As soon as Katherine walked through the door, she couldn't hear anything just silence, that was unusual. The children couldn't possibly be asleep yet. Katherine walked through the hall, to see Alex, Lisa and Bekah cuddled up on the sofa with Tom and Jerry playing in the background.

She smiled at them, Katherine heard a frustrated grunted coming from another living room, she walked towards the room to find Theo roughly flipping through the book again. He closed the book when he noticed Katherine stood in the doorway, she moved away.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you, I'll go downstairs," She said,

"You didn't interrupt me, come in," he said, Katherine walked into the room sitting beside him

"How was your day?" she asked,

"Stressful, Lisa and Bekah got into a fight, something about Bekah stealing Lisa blanket, I don't even know," Theo said, pinching the bridge of his nose, "How about you, find anything out?"

"No, it was a dead-end, they can't see their daughter hurting anyone, I told them to let me know if they hear anything," Katherine said, she smiled at him

"What?" he asked, wondering why she was smiling at him,

"You look like you need a hug," Katherine said, shuffling forward wrapping her arms around him, Theo nose was buried in her hair, he loved the smell of her hair, it always smelt of peaches, sweet just like Katherine. She pulled away from him.

He gazed at her lips, then his hand traced along her jaw, sliding into her hair and he ducked in, his lips meeting hers. A lazy kiss, non like he had given her before, his tongue grazed hers, teasing, and Katherine grasped his collar, her core clenching in approval. She suppressed a groan at the feel of his body pressed against hers as he kissed her.

He kissed her harder, escalating the pace which she returned in equal measure. One of his hands grazed the side of her breast, while the other fidgeted idly with the button of her jeans. He drew back with a stinging bite to her lower lip, which he soothed with another soft kiss.

He seemed in no rush to move away and Katherine merely gazed into his eyes, dazed from their heated contact, her hand sliding down his chest. Finally, she blinked, cleared her throat.

"What is this?" She asked, barely more than a whisper.

"What do you want it to be?" He returned, tugging her earlobe between his teeth.

"I don't know," she didn't know what she wanted with Theo, but she couldn't deny that she did feel something "do you?" She asked, he took a deep breath.

"I like you. I want it to be something if you do," he admitted

"I like you too, I would like that," she chuckled, "never in a million years would I have heard myself say that,"

"I know what you mean," he said, planting one last kiss to her lips. "Katherine," he drawled her name out, "Now, quit wasting time, I've got to show you something,"

"I'm wasting time," Katherine said playfully slapping his arm, he smirked at her. Showing her the book, her eyes widened.

"It's changed,"

"Yup, Blaise was supposed to be attacked on the 30th which is 3 days away," Theo reminded her, "but now, the book says it's going to happen on the 3rd Oct, 6 days away,"

"What does that mean?"

"I don't know, I guess we changed something," Theo told her,

"But what did we change?" Katherine asked

"I don't know but just in case, I'm going to stay at Zabini Manor, from the 30th to the 3rd, just to be on the safe side,"
