Chapter 48

23rd March, Nott Manor

Blaise arrived safely back at Nott Manor with Katherine, he was positive that they were followed by anyone. However, just to be safe, he checked around the grounds, in case they had been followed. Katherine slumped down on the sofa.

Trying to regain any strength she had, she understood why the hospital wasn't willing to discharge her. While she felt fine in herself, physically she was weak. She jumped when Blaise closed the door behind him, he made sure all the windows were covered to prevent anyone from looking inside.

Katherine was worried as to why Theo hadn't returned home yet, it Draco came back with Aurora they didn't find Druella Black's locket. However, they did find Narcissa's necklace, Aurora sat with Katherine attempting to reassure her the best she could.

"How are you destroying them?" Katherine asked

"Fiendfyre, it seems to work,"

"That's dark magic, how could you-

"You can't destroy magic as dark as Horcruxes with standard neutral spells, it has to be equal," Draco explained to her, she nodded, Aurora could see she was worried.

"He'll be back soon, trust you don't need to worry about him,"

"Why not?"

"Because I know he's got himself out of worse situations," Aurora told her

"That isn't helpful-

"All I'm saying is if he says he'll be here, he will be here," Katherine nodded,

She knew that Aurora probably knew Theo better than she did, even if annoyed the hell out of Katherine that her cousin knew her boyfriend more than she did. Katherine fiddled with the string on her hoodie, she hated having no idea what was happening, she knew they had all gone separately to find the Horcruxes.

Another few hours had gone by and Theo still hadn't returned, and Daphne hadn't heard anything from Hadrian either. Draco and Blaise knew he should have been back by now, they paced around, debating whether they should go and look for him.

As they prepared themselves and carefully instructed Aurora to not let Katherine go outside while she's at risk. Theo and Hadrian walked through the door, Katherine ran over to him, wrapping her arms tightly around him, she pulled away hitting his shoulder

"Where the hell have you been?"

"Had a little trouble the Lestrange brothers caught up with us," Theo started

"We managed to lose them," Hadrian finished

"Carrows were at the hospital, I had to get her out," Blaise explained

"As long as everyone is safe," Theo said,

Theo checked Katherine was okay knowing that she shouldn't have been discharged yet. He smiled at her, her eyes fell heavy as she looked into his eyes, he guided her toward the stairs. Katherine was too tired to realise where he was taking her, he laid her down kissing her forehead.

"Get some rest, okay," he brushed her hair behind her ear,

"Where are you going?" she held his wrist

"Nowhere, I promise, I'm just going to say goodbye to everyone," she nodded laying down.

Theo returned downstairs, where Hadrian was filling Draco and Blaise on the locket, Draco handed Theo his mother's necklace. Narcissa knew it would be destroyed, the chances of the necklace being returned to her were unlikely.

"Right, Rory, do you mind taking that outside and destroying it," Theo said, holding the Rosier locket towards her.

"Fine," she scoffed "I suppose a woman can do it better than you boys anyway," she took the locket, heading towards the back door, Draco smirked as she walked past him.

"I only wanted her out of the way, because of Kat, they're too close," Theo began, "we need a plan to draw Bellatrix out once and for all,"

"How do you plan on doing that?" Blaise questioned, "it's not like she's willing to show her face, she has little henchmen everywhere,"

"I was thinking, she'll only work with a few people, no doubt, she knows that we know about her Horcruxes

"We could set a trap to lure her out, if she had to get the last one herself, we could trap her," Hadrian suggested

"Pettigrew, is already dead, Carrow twins have been arrested, only wizards left are the Lestrange brothers, we find them, we'll find Bellatrix," Theo explained

"Aurora and I will head back to LeStrange, see if anyone has seen them around," Draco said, he waited for Aurora, she waltzed back through the room, handing Theo back the destroyed locket,

"Piece of cake," she smiled at him, once she and Draco left he drew his attention to Blaise and Hadrian.

"Alright, keep an eye out for any sign of the Lestrange brothers,"

"Finally something with a bit of action," Blaise commented, Theo cocked his brow at him "not that babysitting, your baby wasn't fun," Theo rolled his eyes at him.

As they left Nott Manor, Theo looked around out of the window, the sky was turning dark thankfully everyone should be home safe now. He looked up the staircase, hoping that Katherine managed to fall asleep, he stepped as quietly as he could, creaking the door open, she laid asleep, he slipped under the covers, Katherine turned over snuggling closer to him.

A few hours passed by, the sound of rustling from outside, woke Katherine, she looked through the window. Outside was pitch black, she spotted a faint figure move across the yard, she shook Theo wake. Whispering that someone was outside, he took his wand creeping out of bed.

"Stay here, I'll be right back," she nodded, though it wasn't long before he was shouting her down,

"What is it- ahh" she gasped "oh my god," she brought her hand up to her mouth, in a box were the severed heads of Amycus and Alecto Carrow.

"There's a note," Theo handed her the note.

'Return Cissy's necklace to me in perfect condition,or next heads in boxes will be yours,'

"What are we going to do? If she can get here, she could get to us, I'm not fit enough-

"Hey, we're going to be alright, I won't let anything happen to you, that's a promise,"
