Chapter 35

Nott Manor, January 2000,

Katherine urged the children to be as quiet as possible, she held Bekah close to her as she was the most frightened. She knew it couldn't be Theo, he would've let himself in, she put her hands over Bekah's mouth, she gestured for Alex and Lisa to cover their mouths too.

"Katherine?" she heard, "Theo? Kids?" she recognised the voice.

"Stay here, don't come out until I tell you, it's safe," she whispered, Alex nodded, holding Lisa and Bekah's hands, she steps out of the wall, holding a tight grip on her wand.

"What do you want?" she held her wand up to him

"Woah, Kat calm down, Phoebe sent me,"

"How do I know you're really Harry Potter?" she asked, he held up a small vial

"Veritaserum," he tipped it back, "ask me again,"

"Who are you?" she asked

"Harry James Potter, son of Lily and James Potter," he nodded lowering her wand,

"It's alright children you can come out," she said, Harry looked around him as he heard shuffling through the walls.

"Why were you wandering around outside?" Katherine asked,

"I couldn't get in, I didn't want to knock in case the children were sleeping still,"

"Ah, I forgot, Theo put wards up around the manor,"

"Where is he, that why I came here, we have new evidence on Cygnus Black's wand,"

"He isn't at the ministry?" she questioned, "I assumed he was, I woke up and he was gone, his bag was gone too,"

"That's strange, and he didn't say anything to you," she shook her head, "alright do you mind I have a look around, we might some clues as to where he's gone," he nodded her head, taking the children into the living room.

Katherine looked around downstairs while Harry searched upstairs, there had to be a reason for Theo leaving so abruptly. She searched for the book curious to know if anything changed which might have caused him to leave, however, she couldn't find the book anywhere.

Harry had practically taken apart his study, every loose floorboard, checking every book. Rummaging through all the files he had in his desk draws. Nothing. He returned downstairs, he could tell by the disappointment on her face that she to didn't find anything.

"No luck?" he asked

"No," she thought for a moment the book missing couldn't be a coincidence, "I have to check something,"

Katherine hurried upstairs to their bedroom, she looked through her draw, panic flooded over her she tipped the entirety of the draw on the bed. She back away realising that the time-turner was missing, Harry hurried upstairs after hearing the commotion.

"Kat, what's wrong?"

"He's stupid that's what's wrong," she snapped

"Why what's he done?" Harry asked

"He's taken the time-turner, he could be anywhere right now," Katherine sat on the bed, raking her fingers through her hair.

"Why would he do that?" Harry asked, sitting with her

"I don't know, but I don't want to stay here without him,"

"I understand, I can make you a couple of rooms up at Grimmauld Place if you'd like?"

"Thank you, Harry, but I think I'm going to stay with Pheebs," he nodded, understand how close they were as friends.

"Do you want me to watch the kids while you pack," he offered

"No it's fine, they're good, you must have more important things to do," he nodded,

"You know, where I am if you need anything?" she smiled at him

Katherine packed a few things for the children, she didn't want to stay in Nott Manor without Theo. Bekah stayed close to her, the small child knew something was wrong, Katherine smiled and tried to reassure her that everything was alright, though she feared she wasn't convincing enough.

At Phoebe Black's Flat,

Phoebe hadn't slept since she returned home, from Nott Manor, Cedric was worried about her. He knew whenever she couldn't sleep her vision was bad, he remembers how much she suffered while they were at school. She hated seeing many terrible things that involved many Hogwarts students, Cedric included.

He heard a knock, he didn't want Phoebe to have to get up, he answered the door to Katherine and the children, they immediately hugged him, they clearly knew him as well as Phoebe. Lisa and Alex hurried to find Phoebe, Bekah held Katherine's hand.

"Are we okay to stay here?" Katherine asked, "It'll only be for a little while,"

"No, it's fine, of course, stay as long as you need," she smiled at him.

Phoebe Black's Flat, 2nd February 2000,

Katherine had been trying to figure out why Theo would have left them, Phoebe told them of the vision she had 2 weeks ago. Katherine was more determined than ever to figure out who the Warrior is. 'If only Pheebs was comfortable enough' she thought, knowing that Phoebe wasn't always the most confident when it came to her talent as a seer.

"Pheebs," Katherine said, gesturing for them to talk in private,

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong, I was thinking, about the warrior, she must have a major issue with death eaters, particularly defected death eaters, which makes me think she was one,"

"It would make sense, defected death eaters, are partly the reason for Voldemorts defeat," Phoebe added

"If it's alright with your grammy, I'd like her to search through my mind, I know I saw her, it's got to be in there somewhere," Katherine suggested, Phoebe nodded hoping that her mother would be able to get in touch with her grandmother.
