Year 0: The Deadliest Joke

Batman

The next morning Bruce and Selina woke up to an unusually noisy morning. It seemed everyone was already awake and up and about. The couple went downstairs to see several members already dressed and ready to head out. Dick and Barbara had already made plans to be out the whole day. Meanwhile, Tim and Stephanie (Batgirl) had decided to spend some time with the newest member of the family, Cassandra Cain (Orphan).

Damian was the first to head for the door before being stopped by Dick. "where are you going?"

"Conner, Gar (Beast Boy), and Megan (Miss Martian) made plans to meet up in metropolis today to hang out."

"Alright then but remember we head back to Jump City tomorrow night so don't be late," said Dick as Damian made his way out.

Later that day Damian met up with his teammates in downtown Metropolis. The city was buzzing with life and entertainment. Each city block seems to be a city of its own with its own unique culture. A true marvel to look at.

"Bout damn time Wayne." said Conner greeting Damian.

"I would have been here sooner, but Alfred drives like a grandpa."

"Dick and Barbara didn't wanna come?" asked Megan.

"No. they already had plans about visiting some lame museum in Gotham."

"Let's get going. The movie starts in an hour, plus it's 4 hours long, so I hope you guys ate." chimed Gar.

Meanwhile

Batman, Tim, and Orphan were called in by the GCPD to investigate some fear toxin that had been stolen. Upon arriving at the scene and doing an investigation. Batman found Scarecrow's body laying on the floor.

Taking off his mask he saw he had been killed with the jokers laugh gas. "There's something you never thought would happen, why would the Joker Kill Scarecrow?" asked Tim.

"Does there need to be a reason, it the joker hes like a dog chasing cars, he has no agenda." replied Orphan.

"It doesn't add up. Why would he kill the only man that knows how to make fear toxin."

"Unless he plans on only using it once" inferred Batman "Somethings wrong here, we're missing something."

"What are you thinking?" Asked Tim.

"Call in Dick and Barbara tell them to meet me at the docks to investigate the missing Uranium, maybe there's a connection between the two. Meanwhile, you two go to star labs and check out the scene there on the missing kryptonite. Jokers up to something just have to figure what before it too late."

Hours later night had fallen and the group of friends had finally come out of the movies.

"Wow. gotta say better than the original one, " said Conner.

"Meh, I expected more to be honest," replied Gar. "anyways I'm starving. Let's get something to eat before heading back. I know a bomb-ass burger place around the corner."
