Superman

Clark had never before felt such strength and power, and as time passed, he felt even stronger. The world was in chaos as the camera continued to broadcast Superman's violent actions. Batman called for Gordon to turn off the broadcast, but it was too late; Gordon had suffered a heart attack and died. The camera kept playing, and Superman kept getting stronger.

He flew to the Guardians, who were still battling Parallax. Superman cut through them like a hot knife through butter, even taking possession of Parallax for a moment to destroy OA and bring the battle to an end. The remaining Green Lanterns who didn't want to surrender were killed. Once again, Superman's team had done the impossible and defeated the entire Green Lantern Corps.

Superman's team gathered after the fight, with Sinestro joining them as well. Hal was hostile towards Sinestro, demanding to know why he was there. Sinestro answered sarcastically, "No, no. You're welcome for saving you, it's no worries."

Superman finally stepped in and announced, "Everyone stand down. Sinestro is on our side."

"He's not on our side, he's just playing you, Clark," Shazam explained.

"I know how this must feel, but he really is on our side. Besides, he saved us," Superman defended Sinestro.

"He only helped us because it benefited him for us to take out the Green Lanterns," Hawkwoman said.

"That's not true. I truly do want to help you guys. I believe in Superman's cause," Sinestro explained, defending himself.

"He's too unreliable. I don't think we should trust him," Hal said.

"We are going to trust him, and that's that," Superman said, displeasing the rest of his team. "Oh, and Hal, take off your ring. You are no longer a Green Lantern. You'll be a Yellow Lantern."

Hal and the rest were shocked at what he had just said. "Clark, you can't be serious?" Hal protested.

"I am," Superman stated before flying away. The other members looked at Hal, unsure of what to say, and left as well. The last one to leave was Barry, who told Hal to do what he felt was right.

In the end, Sinestro stood with him, offering the Yellow Ring. "Clark said to," he smiled coyly.

Hal looked down at his hand. For years, he had proudly worn that ring as a symbol of justice, but now he had to turn it away for a new ring that symbolized fear. He slowly took off his old ring, making his suit disappear, and put on the yellow one. He transformed into a Yellow Lantern. It felt weird to him, wearing such a thing. He had fought against other people who wore it for years. Nonetheless, he had officially become a Yellow Lantern, and a new chapter in his life had begun.

Batman

Batman's team sat in stunned silence as they processed what had just happened. It was already difficult to resist Superman's regime, but now it seemed almost impossible.

The room was heavy with tension, and everyone understood the gravity of the situation. The yellow lanterns fed off the fear of others, and with the world in a state of terror, Superman and his regime now ruled unchallenged.

To make matters worse, news of the casualties of war filtered through the television. The sight of Superman cradling the lifeless bodies of Dinah, Wildcat, and Gordon hit everyone hard. Barbara's fragile state of mind was shattered, and she fell back into a catatonic state. Artemis was consumed by a deep depression - her entire family had been wiped out. Even Harley couldn't help shedding a tear.

The rest of the resistance lost hope as well. They had briefly believed that their nightmare was coming to an end, only to find out that it had just begun. Batman retreated to his room to meditate on his next move, with Zatanna and Huntress following him.
