Damian/Raven
It had been a few hours after the funeral. The gathering had ended and everyone was asleep, The night was freezing cold and thick fog covered most of the city. That was when Damian decided to visit Dicks grave. He snuck into the property and made his way to the garden where the body was located at, with every breath he took smoke came out of his mouth.
He had been watching the funeral from afar the entire time. He remembered the pain in the faces of his brothers and sisters and especially his father and step-mother.
What made it even more painful to watch was knowing he could not be with them.
After finally reaching the gravestone he saw Dick was buried next to Damians grandfather and grandmother; Thomas and Martha Wayne. He approached the grave and took a knee infront of it, touching the stone and gracing Dicks name.
"Dick there's so much I wanted to tell you but I can't now. But if somehow you are listening I want to say, thank you. Thank you for believing in me and never giving up on me when others did. For always seeing the good in me when others couldn't. For being patient even when I was an asshole. You taught so much in only 3 years and I'm so grateful for it. God I miss you so much and I regret with every ounce of my heart what I did. I wish there was a way I could undo what I did. Take care, I'll miss you."
Tears flowed down his cheek as Damian remembered all the good times he had with his brother. However those feelings quickly faded when he remembered his reality now. His family had disowned him and he knew he could never go back to his old team.
Damian took off and went back to the abandoned hotel he was staying in. Before entering he stopped at the entrance of the building, he felt like someone was following him but wasn't sure who or what. He went inside and into his room. After taking a cold shower he sat at the edge of the bed staring blankly at the ground, not knowing what to do next.
That was when he heard a knock on the door. Damian quickly picked up a small blade and went towards the door to see who it was. He peeked through the peephole and saw a dark shadow standing outside with a hoodie on. He slowly opened the door "who are you?". The person looked up pulling back her hoodie revealing it was Raven. Damians heart skipped a beat upon seeing her.
Raven looked up to reveal a vampire like face. Her eyes were red from crying, lips and nose were red from the cold and her skin seemed paler than usual. Drenched and shaking she stared at Damian for a second, she could tell it had been a long day for him as well.
"Hey can I come in?" She said shivering. Damian opened the door to let her in, he lead her to the bathroom where he sat on the toilet seat next to the bat tub. Raven without saying anything got into the tub fully clothed and watched Damian turned the water on, letting the warm water hit her body, she stared blankly at her hands.
"How long have you been following me?" Damian asked.
"Since you left Dicks grave." She sank into the water allowing only her head to sit just above it.
"No wonder I felt someone was following me."
"Where have you been?" Turning her head to him slightly agitated.
"I was here in Gotham."
"Why weren't you at the funeral and what happened to dick." Her voice was beginning to rise. Damian sighed and looked down.
"It was an accident. The whole thing. During a fight I lost control and hit Grayson in the head, it knocked him unconscious and he fell over landing on a spike."
"Why would you do that?"
"Its not like I meant it. It was an accident. I regret it so much and now my whole family hates me. Which is why I wasn't at the funeral. I knew I couldn't go."
