Resistance

Batman's team watched from a safe distance as the Green Lantern Corps launched a full-scale attack on Superman's team.

The clash of the two forces produced thunderous sounds that echoed throughout the area, causing the ground to tremble beneath their feet. Dinah saw this as the perfect opportunity to strike while Superman's regime was distracted, hoping to finally bring him down once and for all.

"If we attack now, we can take them by surprise and defeat them," Dinah suggested.

Others on the team agreed with her, seeing it as a chance to turn the tide of the battle in their favor. But just as they were about to launch their attack, Batman ordered them to stand down.

"What? Why?" Dinah asked, confused and frustrated.

"Let's observe how the Lanterns handle this," Batman replied calmly.

"But we can help them if we attack now," Dinah argued.

"I said no. Hold back for a moment," Batman ordered firmly.

Dinah gritted her teeth, feeling like her chance to strike had been taken away. The villains on their team couldn't resist mocking her for submitting so easily to Batman's orders, but Dinah ignored them, knowing that this wasn't the time for arguing. With nothing left to do, they all sat back and watched the fight unfold.

Regime/Green Lanterns

Meanwhile, high up in the sky, Superman and his team were engaged in a fierce battle against Gathent and the lanterns. From the cockpit of the invisible jet, Damian Wayne held his own against multiple lanterns, expertly dodging their energy blasts and retaliating with deadly precision.

The Flash, using his superhuman speed, conjured up powerful gusts of wind that swept the lanterns off their feet and sent them crashing down to the ground, where he effortlessly subdued them. Hawkwoman, armed with her trusty war mace, proved to be a formidable opponent, her centuries of combat experience allowing her to hold her own against the relentless onslaught of the lanterns.

Meanwhile, Cyborg's advanced apocalyptic technology proved to be too much for the lanterns to handle, as they struggled to keep up with the sheer power and versatility of his weaponry. Hal and John, using their cunning and deception, managed to take down several lanterns before they caught on to their tactics and engaged them in a fierce battle.

Black Adam, with his immense strength and durability, cut through the lanterns with ease, decimating group after group. Finally, it was Superman himself who faced off against Gathent, their titanic blows shaking the very heavens.

Though Gathent was old and withered, his movements were still lightning-fast and powerful, a testament to his enduring strength. Superman, however, was in rare form, his punches landing with devastating force and precision. Even as he fought, he couldn't help but respect and admire Gathent's incredible power.

Despite their initial success, however, Superman's team was beginning to tire and falter under the relentless assault of the lanterns. They found themselves outnumbered and outmatched, as more and more lanterns swarmed around them. It was when a dozen of them began to team up on Superman, Kilowog, Gardner, and Jessica that the red flag went up.

As Superman's team continued to spread out and get overwhelmed, Superman himself was finally pinned down by two dozen lanterns and Gathent. Gathent stood over him, a look of grim determination on his face.

"Kal-El, last living son of Krypton," he said, his voice filled with authority. "You are charged with crimes against the universe, for trying to conquer Earth and possibly allowing he who shall now be named to enter this reality. I hereby sentence you to death."
