Guardians of the Universe

Jessica's arrival on OA was so swift that she hadn't even realized it. It wasn't until Scar revealed that OA was in motion towards Earth that she understood why she had arrived so quickly.

"So, we're heading towards Earth right now?" Jessica asked, trying to catch her breath.

"Yes, that is correct," Scar replied.

Jessica was taken aback. She had failed her mission on Earth, and now the Guardians were taking matters into their own hands. "How long have you known about Ganthet's death?" she asked.

"Since the moment it happened. We felt his life force come to an end, and that's when we decided to move towards Earth," Scar explained.

"And you know what to expect when we arrive?" Jessica asked, her voice tinged with worry.

"The Justice League, particularly Superman and his allies, are not to be underestimated, but with all of us combined, we will be more than capable of taking him down once and for all," Scar said reassuringly.

"I'm sorry for failing the Corps. I promise it won't happen again," Jessica said, feeling guilty.

"Don't worry about it, my child. We will not let Ganthet's death be in vain. Soon, this will all be behind us and nothing more than a bad memory. Now, rest up. We will be arriving at Earth tomorrow morning," Scar said, with a calm and reassuring tone.

Jessica knew she had to put her doubts aside and trust in the Guardians to save the day. She found solace in Scar's words and decided to rest up before they arrived at Earth.

Hal Jordan

Once back home, Hal's hands were still shaking from what had happened after the battle. He couldn't believe that Ganthet would commit suicide and kill the rest of the lanterns and John. The gruesome sight was etched in his mind, and he couldn't shake it off. He was disgusted with what he had seen, and it only made him believe even more that the Green Lantern Corps was against him.

Hal dropped onto his couch, trying to reel everything back. His wife, Carol, walked into the living room and sat down next to him. She looked at him with a cheerful smile, but he kept his gaze on the ground.

"I saw on the news the attack of Green Lantern. I was worried about you," she said.

"Thank you. But I'm fine. Can't say the same for John or Gardner," Hal replied.

"What happened to them?" Carol asked.

"Both were killed by Ganthet. He exploded himself, killing everyone around," Hal said with a heavy heart.

"Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry. Why would he do that?" Carol asked, concerned.

"He's an ancient godlike being. He would rather ruin as many lives as he can rather than surrender peacefully," Hal explained, his voice trembling.

"You seem stressed out. Is there something you want to talk about?" Carol asked, noticing his distress.

"It's about what's coming next," Hal said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"What's coming?" Carol asked, confused.

"The entire Lantern Corps. They'll be here probably by tomorrow," Hal said, his voice filled with dread.

"Oh my...what are you guys gonna do?" Carol asked, her eyes wide with fear.

"Nothing much we can do really. It'll probably be the end of us," Hal said, his tone resigned.
