Superman

The president watched the broadcast intently as Superman sent his message to the world. At first, he didn't know what to make of it exactly. He figured Superman had no authority to make such a request. The president was then informed that the United Nations wanted to convene to discuss Superman's actions and threats. "Tell Batman to meet me here ASAP." ordered the president.

a military base somewhere in the middle east.

"Sir, we have confirmation. The missile is ready for launch." said a soldier.

"Good, fire the missile," replied the Sergeant. The missile launched, heading straight for a small village and detonated. "Report?"

"Uhh, sir, it says the missile hit but not the village."

"Excuse me. What do you mean, did we miss?"

"No, we were on target it's just something hit it beforehand?"

"Well, what it hit,"

"Take a look for yourself." A replay of the missile's video played seconds before it detonated. They were all shocked to see that Superman had flown straight into the missile, stopping in midair. "What do we do, sir?"

The sergeant immediately called a meeting with the other generals in charge to discuss what the best course of action was. "I say we launch another missile," said one of the generals.

"No, he would just stop it again."

"Maybe send a more powerful one that he can't stop." replied another.

"We don't have any missiles that can stop him outside of an H-bomb, but that would kill too many people we don't want to cause a commotion."

"Well then, what do we do. What can we do?". Everyone in the room was quiet unsure of what to respond to. The slow realization that they could do absolutely nothing crept into their minds, and a feeling of desperation filled the room.

"I'll speak with the president. This is an act of war against the US, and we will respond accordingly."

Batman

Meanwhile, back at the White House, the president was finishing off his meeting with the United Nations, all of which were in accordance that Superman had no authority to make such demands. Arriving back in his office, he saw Batman was there waiting for him. "You know why I called you," the president said, Batman simply nodded. "Okay, so what is your plan? Superman can't just make demands when he wants to."

"I'm working on it. He's not thinking straight right now. he's emotional. He just needs some time to clear his mind."

"I'm sorry, but that won't cut it. I feared you might not have a plan, so I went ahead and made my call."

"What did you do?"

"I ordered an elite team of soldiers to kidnap Supermans parents and hold them hostage until Superman backs down from his demands."

"YOU IDIOT. Why would you do that?!"

"It was the only way we could control him. You couldn't come up with an idea, so I did."
