Year 2: Meeting Day

Hal Jordan/Green Lantern Corps

Arriving in OA Hal was placed in cuffs and taken to the council of the guardians where the rest of the group awaited Ganthet's report "How was the mission Ganthet?" asked Rami.

"Just as you had predicted. Superman refused to change."

"It is a shame that Superman has fallen to such levels. We used to believe he was different, a true symbol of hope, oh how wrong we were."

"We must immediately make plans to stop him."

"Patience Ganthet, let us speak with Hal Jordan first and here his side of the story."

"Hal Jordan has become corrupted his judgment cannot be trusted."

"If it's okay with you I still want to hear it." Rami said, much to the displeasure of Ganthet.

Ganthet signaled to Kilowag to bring Hal forward placing him in middle of the council. "Hal Jordan, you are brought before this council to face judgement on your actions, plead guilty and you will be absolved of your charges." Stated Rami

"Guilty? There is nothing I've done that I feel guilty about."

"Really nothing? Superman declaring himself ruler of earth, forcing his law on people, arresting anyone who doesn't, killing heroes, your friends. All of this while you stand by and let him do this. And you have the audacity to say you feel like you are not guilty of anything?"

"All his is done is make the world a better place, something you people never did. He's removed corruption from the earth, made it safer and brought peace to a world that was plagued with it. So no I don't feel guilt."

The rest of the guardians were in shock at the callous and complete ignorance to the truth that Superman was actually doing.

"Well it seems Ganthet was correct in his report. Hal Jordan has become corrupted." Scar (A guardian) explained.

"Why do you guys care so much about earth anyways? You've seen hundreds of billions of worlds fall and crumble to worst dictator and you never did anything about it. So why now?"

"The Intrinsic value of earth is far beyond your understanding. You are simply a pawn in the grand scheme of things. You are dismissed."

"Wait what will you do to earth, what will happen to superman?"

"What we've always done when the universe faces a crisis, Resolve it."

"You monsters. All you do is sit on your thrones while entire world's perish."

"Enough Jordan. Take him away Kilowag." Ordered Ganthet.

Jordan was dragged out of the council to where the rest of the Green lanterns were waiting at. They looked at Hal with disgust. "If you got something to say then say it." Hal said daringly.

"You were supposed to be the best of us. Now you're just some dog following orders from a tyrant." Jessica Cruz replied.

"Im not the one following orders blindly. You are! And I'll fight everyone single one of you if I have to." Hal said firing off his ring to the lanterns around him. But despite his surprise attack he was quickly overwhelmed by the vast members that all teamed up against him and put him down.

Back inside the council the guardians discussed their next move.

"We need a full scale invasion we can't take any chances here." Ganthet explained.

"There is no need to call forward all the lanterns to take earth. It is more than enough to send our elite guards along with one of us to take earth. After all one of us should be strong enough to handle superman." Rami replied.
