Year 3: Close But No Cigar

Damian

After escaping a close encounter with his father's resistance Damian rushed back to the Watchtower. After patching himself up he tried reaching out to Raven telepathically but didn't get any answer. It was usual for her not to reply but he didn't make much of it, he sent her a message waiting for her to reply. He decided to sit down and rest for a while after his close encounter with his father's regime.

It was a bold and ambitious plan to send a team after him, he remembered how he had done it in the past with Cass and Aqualad however something wasn't adding up to Damian. Why now, was there a specific reason for what were they trying to do or get from him? If it was important they would've sent stronger and more people after, it felt like they were almost only trying to keep him busy or something.  He couldn't figure out the whole picture but he knew that if his father had planned it then there was something bigger he couldn't figure out. 

Not wanting to take any chances he contacted Hawkgirl to help him go patrol Gotham while he sent flash he sweep Asia and look for Raven in person as well as told Lex to scan the net for anything that might help him. Not wanting to make a big deal out of it he decided not to tell 

Constantine/Batman

The resistance gathered around Raven who was asleep going over the plan that they were about to set off.

"For safety reasons, it's best if only me, Z, Fate, and Batsy stay here for this," Constantine explained as he zapped away the rest of the members there.

The four of them waited for their last member to show up before setting into motion their plan. Ragman walked into the church Batman was perplexed to see a man covered in rags.

"Ragman!" Constantine greeted him but he was not as excited to see him."

"John Constantine, you have a debt to pay me." his voice was cold and devoid of emotion.

"Well nice to see you too, jeez."

"I'm only here to claim Kal-El's soul and of course to see up close the queen of the Underworld herself," Ragman replied referring to Raven who was still in her sleep tied up. He walked past the other members and over to Raven who remained motionless. Ragman squatted down next to the young girl and observed her for a moment. "Such beauty and perfection, who would've known it could cause the end of all things."

Batman shot a confused look over to Zatanna who returned with a look gesturing she would explain later.

"Yeah it's usually how things go, so are ready then?" John asked trying to speed things up. Ragman stood back up and gazed into Johns's soul "Don't forget our deal, John." warned Ragman. John snickered in agreement.

"Very well let's start."

Resistance/Regime

Superman on a routine patrol suddenly received an emergency call from Raven who sound like she was being drowned, her voice sounded desperate and scared begging for help. Clark immediately asked where she was at, and Raven gave a vague description of the place able to make out that she was somewhere in Metropolis. Clark immediately flew off to look for Raven, alerting any available members to meet him in Metropolis to rescue Raven. Damian, Hawkgirl, and Flash all immediately rushed over to him.

Meanwhile, inside the church Batman, Zatanna, Fate, John, and Ragman anxiously waited for the upcoming battle, they needed to act quickly and strongly. Meanwhile, the rest of the resistance watched from a broadcast that Lex was feeding to them to know what was going on. Before long they heard a loud and powerful crash hit the side of the church, Clark had arrived.
