Year 1: Well that escalated Quickly

Superman had called a meeting with his team to inform them what the next step in his plan was. As his team walked in they saw Lex was sitting next to him. "What's this about Clark?" Diana asked.

"We're here to discuss the next step. Over the past few days, Lex has helped me see the error of our ways. We have been far too aggressive and violent in our approach to bringing peace to this world. We still don't have the support of nations let alone our very own government. They see us as tyrants rather than peacekeepers."

"Is that what Lex told you?" Hal asked.

"No. It's what I've come to see thanks to him. Lex will explain the rest." Superman said taking a seat while Lex stood up.

"As Clark was saying. Your approach to forcing people into submission is far too primitive. We need a new approach-"

"Why would we need a new approach if our way is working?" Cyborg asked.

"Because what good is ruling over people if the citizens are waiting at every chance to overthrow you? It is better to be respected rather than feared but even better to be loved. My plan is for Superman to address the world once again and explain his intentions in a more civil and peaceful manner rather than he did before."

"And you think this will work?" Shazam asked.

"Most definitely. Trust me. The press conference goes live later today so dress up."

"Very well then. I trust everyone in here is in accordance with this?" Superman spoke up. The members present all nodded silently. "By the way where is Hawkgirl?"

"I'm right here." She said walking in late.

"Where have you been?"

"I was visiting my husband."

"I see. So were you able to convince him to join us?"

"Unfortunately he is very stubborn and refuses to help us."

"Don't worry all men are stubborn." Wonder woman added.

The rest of the team dispersed leaving Clark alone to meditate on his speech. While preparing it the door opened and saw Damian and Raven walk in. Clark was confused to see Raven here. "Clark we are here to help," Damian said confidently.

"Damian good to see you. I hope you are feeling better and glad to have you back. I see you brought your friend." Clark said referring to Raven.

"Yes Damain and I spoke and he's helped me see that this is the right cause to fight for. You wish to bring peace to this world, well it's something I want to help with. You can count on me."

"I'm so happy that you see the light. We sure are grateful to have someone like you on our side."

"So what's the plan now?" Damian asked.

"Lex and I thought it would be best if I addressed the world at a news conference in Paris. I feel it is important to reassure people that we are here to help not take over."

"I see so how can we help?"

"For today just stay put and guard the hall from any intruders."

A few hours later

The time had finally come for Superman to speak to the whole world. In front of the Eiffel tower, tens of thousands of people gathered with hundreds of news reporters filming everything. In front of the crowd was a large stage with a podium in the middle. The news around the world was that Superman was going to address his recent actions in the past several weeks.
