Alaina stood in Stefan's arms as they waited for Damon. Alaric had told them that Isobel wants to talk to Alaina and Elena. Which confused the blonde as she looked up at Stefan. "Did she say why she wants to see me?" Alaina asked.

"Yes." Alaric said. "She wants to meet the girl who managed to get Stefan over Elena."

"Oh no." She mumbled. Alaina didn't want to talk to her as Elena ruined their friendship and now the woman wants to know why. "This is ridiculous."

Stefan kissed her making her smile. Damon walked in with a comment making them all give him a look. A look that told him to take this serious.

"This is stupid." Alaina said. "She wants to meet someone because of who she's dating."

"Maybe she's curious."

Alaina looked at her than to the door to see Isobel. She walked over and sat down. "So you must be Elena." Isobel said as she looked at Alaina. "And you are the girl that Stefan chose over my daughter. Why?"

Alaina didn't say a word. The blonde looked at Stefan and smiled as he smiled at her. "Stefan has told me that he knew Alaina was the one." Elena said. "She's different from me. She never makes it about herself like I do."

Isobel looked at the blonde to see her looking at Stefan and knew that those two actually loved one another.

Alaina was helping Caroline as they were going with the Victorian style for the parade. "Caroline, I'm going to get a drink."

"Okay."

Alaina walked up to the cooler. "Hello, Alaina." She heard and looked at Isobel. "Why did he actually pick you over Elena?"

"I don't know." Alaina said as she opened her bottle. "Why are you even curious about me?"

"You look like Ric's first wife. Kate."

"Who do you think birthed me?" Alaina asked as she walked around till she was grabbed. "Isobel, I have to get that float finished."

"You need to make sure that Damon hands that device over to Elena." Isobel said.

Alaina was confused as she walked away to talk to Elena herself. The blonde shook her head and saw the trailer fall on Matt's hand. "Oh my god." She said as she ran towards him.

That night Stefan was worried for Alaina after she explained what happened. "Don't go around her ever again."

"I won't." She tells him as he held her. "Is this going to work?"

"So far yes."

The two looked back at Damon who was not trusting Bonnie or being stubborn with Elena. Alaina smiled as she felt Stefan wrapped his arms around her. They were shocked that Damon handed the device over making Alaina and Stefan look at one another.

That night, Stefan kept his arms around Alaina when they stepped out. They watched the confrontation till Isobel looked at Alaina and Stefan. "I know why he didn't pick you." Isobel said. "Alaina is Stefan's true love as Damon is in love with you."

Stefan and Alaina looked at Damon shocked that he fell for Elena. The two waked away together as Damon left. Alaina felt Stefan kiss her head making her smile. Alaina looked back to see Elena leaving with a broken heart that Stefan will never love her.
