Homecoming was being planned, but Alaina and Stefan have been focusing on their family. Stefan looked at his wife as she was in the floor playing with Jason had him smiling. This was the life he always dreamt of. He knew he would let Alaina read his diaries so she will know more of what he went through. "Stefan, honey, what's wrong?"

"I've been doing some thinking." He tells her. "We can go homeschool. Stay away from all that drama."

"Okay?"

"I mean, we have Jason and there is us who don't want to be involved in whatever is going on. We have this house, we have everything we could ask for."

"Do you really want to or are you just wanting to wait for the drama to be over."

"Yes." He confessed. "Baby, think about it. Right now, it's a shit show. They woke up Mikael."

Alaina looked at him. "No. Let's not go homeschool. This is my town, my home. This is where our story began and I'm not going to hide because of the shit that is happening. Taylor is doing it to get his humanity back, Elena wants him back, but won't admit that she's in love with Damon." She tells him. "I made a promise to mom to graduate and live on. We have a son to protect, but I have friends and family that still need us. We can protect them all."

"But you can die..."

"Not if you give me blood." She tells him. "I want to be like you. I want to protect our son, protect our family and stop the shit from destroying our home." Alaina touched his cheek as he smiled. "We fell in love in this town, we fought for our love till Taylor showed up, we're strong, we've lost people that we love, and we learned more about things." She smiled as she knew what she was saying was helping Stefan. "Let's protect our home."

Stefan kissed her as she was right. They shouldn't hide. They are strong, they have one another, they have a reason to keep things safe. Jason Salvatore was more of the reason. They pulled back smiling. "Alaina Salvatore, I love you with all my heart and we will protect our home."

"Forever."

"Forever, baby."
