"Amber, Amber wait up." I turned round in school the next day. I smiled

"Clay!" Fangs and Sweets stepped forward

"Easy boys he's a friend." the did and hugged my old friend

"I heard you were back, I...I missed you." he scratched the back of his neck after i let go.

"I missed you too. Oh the is Fangs and Sweet Pea. Boys this is the Sweetest guy you'll ever met, Clay Jensen" I introduced they nodded their heads to each other

" I don't know about that."

"Clay I've known you since we were five. you Smol Bean."

"Well every guy has a dark side."

"Ooooh are you a secret badass?" he chuckled. I grinned and ruffled his hair, he then smartened it out.

"What classes do you have?" I asked and he handed me his schedule I scanned it over

"We have most classes together, you're sitting next to me."

"What about us?"

"I have my smoll bean back, ya'll dust." I joked and they laughed

Another school day passed and I had a few serpents in all of my classes, so I never felt alone. Toni met me at my locker at the end of the day.

"Hey Amber" it was Clay "Do you want to hang out?"

"I'm sorry Clay, I have something to do."

"Oh okay, well see you tomorrow."

"Of course."

--3rd Person--

Amber and Toni left first to pick up Phoenix. Clays was on his bike ride down the road the nursery was on when he overheard  a conversation

"Mama, look what I made today. It's for you." Phoenix chimed

"That lovely sweetie, thank you. So what else have you been doing today?" Amber asked and Clay stopped his bike looking over to the side walk.

"Amber?" they looked up. Amber was holding Phoenix in her arms turned to the voice that called her name.

"Clay"

Toni left the two too talk and they walked through the park as Phoenix ran around.

"So you have a kid." he stated as hey walked

"Yes I do." she confirmed

"Who? How? Why didn't you tell me?" Amber sighed and scratched her head

"Please don't ask me that."

"Why?"

"Because it's bad."

"So she's Monty's?"  he changed the subject and Amber sighed

"Not Monty's, Amber!"

"Clay, listen, that story it's traumatic everything about how it came along and going through it it's bad. Phoenix is a good little girl that came out of something bad, now leave it alone"

"Look Mama, I picked these for you and Clay." she handed them both flowers

"Aww thank you baby." Amber smiled

"Yeah, thanks." Replied Clay. Phoenix giggled and carried on skipping in from of them.

"So tell me what I've missed in Evergreen, don't leave out anything" Clay sighed and delved into everything he could think off. Soon Phoenix got tired and hungry.
