Janet's POV

By the time Helen had left it was time for me to start getting ready to go to Erin's soccer game. Although my heart seemed to be in it, my head had been occupied by what had happened earlier in the day. Had I just agreed to meet with my long-lost family?

It appeared so but it seemed as if I was in some alternate universe. I sluggishly got ready, dressing in Erin's sweatshirt that read the number eight. I paired it with some blue jeans, and as for my hair, I pulled it back into a braid.

I caked my face with makeup, covering up my blemish. It reminded me of Helen's bare face. She hadn't been wearing any makeup and yet she didn't seem to care that I had been staring the entire time. Although hers wasn't as large as mine, it was still visible.

I was low key dreading going outside and sitting with the rest of the student body to watch my boyfriend kick a ball around. Grabbing my phone and bag I slowly walked the ten minutes to the school. Soccer games, Football games, and basketball games seemed to always have the school in a buzzing mood.

It was the only time students would willingly come to a school on a Saturday. I arrived just in time to see the soccer filled already packed. Big bright lights illuminated the free glass field. Everyone sat excitedly on the bleachers waiting for the game to start.

Of course, I wouldn't be me if I didn't have a bunch of stares looking at my every move. There were the occasional laughs and giggles as soon as I walked by. It made me uncomfortable that I almost turned around and walked out but then I saw him.

Erin was pacing back and forth while Amy sat on the lower bleachers. He looked like a nervous wreck, his ink-black hair was all tousled on his head. He kept wringing his hands together as he paced. The sight was awfully cute and it made me smile. It made me forget about the rest of the stupid student body and just focus on him.

I walked closer gaining Amy's attention first. "Thank god you are here! Took ya long enough. Will, you please calm this knucklehead down"! She yelled shooting him an annoyed glare. His eyes met mine and his shoulders seemed to visibly relax a bit.

He instantly grabbed me in his arms, then rested his head on my neck. Still in shock, I gently stroked his head trying to give him some sort of comfort. "I'm so glad you are here" he muttered gently. His warm breath tickled my neck a bit as I leaned into his embrace.

I staggered a bit due to him being slightly taller than me. It didn't help that we had an audience watching us. But right now he needed me, so with a deep breath, I closed my eyes and leaned closer into his embrace.

He smelt of woodsy earth and dirt. We stood there for a while until a whistle could be heard. Erin finally lifted his head to see his coach beckoning him to get on the field. "I've gotta go. After we'll grab pizza hmm". I nodded as he pressed a light kiss on my forehead.

And just like that, I watched him run towards the field all ready to go. I sighed deeply, plopping down on the bleachers. Ten minutes had passed when Amy finally came back with a large tub of popcorn.

"What took you so long? The game already started" I said with a frown. Amy shrugged carelessly as if she hadn't missed the first ten minutes of her brother's game.

"The line for popcorn was freaking long! It went all the way around the freaking entrance" she whined. I shook my head in disgust as he shoved a handful of popcorn in her mouth.

The game was in a full swing. I cheered as Erin had been making the majority of the goals. He would look over each time he made a goal and send me a jaw-dropping smile. It was so hard to believe that we were a couple.

Half time had finally come and I excused myself to use the bathroom. I groaned when I saw how long the line was but it was either that or take cover in the bushes. After waiting for the first three people to go it was finally my turn.

I quickly did my business and reapplied some makeup before heading out. I stepped out of the bathroom only to bump into someone. "Oh, I'm so sorry..." I stopped midway when my blood ran cold.

Standing before me in crutches and the most sinister look ever was Millie Anderson. "Well well look who we have here. If it isn't the low-key whore" she sneered.

At that moment I wanted the ground to swallow me whole.
