She woke up in an unfamiliar room. With a headache.
"For fuck's sake,..." she massaged her temple. "Whoever did this, better hides themselves," she added. She sighed deeply.
"I should've stayed at the Avengers facility." She looked around her. There was no sign of any technology that would let her communicate with Earth.
She threw herself back on bed. She closed her eyes, imagining a better place. A safe place.
She was in a small home, with a dog beside her. She cared for him and in return it gave her back all the love it could give. She wasn't alone. There was a commotion inside her living room.
Friends.
She never would have thought, that other people would appear in her happy place. But they did.
She smiled to herself. Happy safe place. With the ones she loved and cared for.
She opened her eyes, only to be met with a different kind of scenery.
She wasn't laying on her bed and there was a voice in her head. It kept on repeating to follow it. "I can't follow the voice, if I don't know where it's coming from," she said out loud. As if the voice heard, she heard a chuckle.
"Follow me, Lilly. You know exactly where to go." She sighed and went forward. She walked down the street, only to be called by someone very familiar.
"Hey!" She turned around and realised it was Thor. "Thor!?" She exclaimed. "I need you to follow me—" She cut him off with a hug, which ended unsuccessfully. She realised they are both just visions, holograms of each other.
"I can't even begin explaining how glad I am to see you're okay."
"Me too," he said. Not long after their reunion, Heimdall appears, calling Thor and Lilly back into the shadows.
"I can see both of you, but you two are far away from us." Lilly looked at Thor and back at the man before her. "I believe we haven't met yet. Name's Lilly," she said. He smiled. "I remember you very clearly, Lady Hestia, too bad it doesn't work the other way."
"Please call me Lilly. Not a lady," she said and chuckled awkwardly. "Why did you call me?" Thor asked Heimdall.
"We need you. She's getting too powerful."
"Can someone explain to me how can I be here, when I was in a room few minutes ago?" She asked both of them.
"You have a gift, my child. That is why I was able to call both of you," Heimdall explained to her. She noticed the colour of Thor's eyes. "I thought your eyes were blue."
"They are." She looked at him with a straight expression. "Riiight,..."
"I need you two to focus." Heimdall looked at both of them. There was concern in his eyes. "You're on a planet surrounded by doorways. Get through one." He said and stepped back, pulling out his sword.
