The team fought the Chitauris. It was the first time they all assembled together. The team Phil was dreaming of was right there.
Captain America with his shield, ready to lead the team, Iron Man and his amazing tech, almost invincible, Black Widow and her amazing set of skills, Hawkeye with his bow and arrow, Thor and his mighty hammer Mjölnir, Hulk and his rage and last but not least, Hestia with her raging fire.
All of them stood in the circle, looking up at the sky as they saw thousands of Chitauris emerging through the sky. "Guys," Nat said. "Call it, Cap," Tony added. With thet Steve walked away from the circle, saying "Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or your turn it to ash."
"Wanna give me a lift?" Barton asked everyone, his eyes falling on Tony. "Right. Better clench up, Legolas." With that he lifted him up to the building.
"Thor, you've gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You've got the lightning. Light the bastards up." Thor nodded and flew up. Steve looked at Natasha. "You and me, we stay here on the ground, keep the fighting here." Nat nodded. He looked at Lilly. "You go help Thor. Try to stop him," he said and Lilly flew up. "And Hulk,...SMASH." Hulk grinned at him and leaped up into the nearest building, hitting several Chitauri soldiers.
Lilly flew towards the Stark building, trying to get to the Tesseract, when she was interrupted by other Chitauris. "God damn it, guys. How many times do I have to tell you, that I don't want to play with you!" She blasted fire at them. One of them leaped onto her back, but she managed to shook him off.
As she finished playing with them, she saw Thor summoning lightning. She saw that this might help a little, but it still isn't enough for them to beat them. She saw Loki flying past and flew after him. She was chasing him, but another of the giant monsters blocked her way. "Not today, sir," she said and blasted fire at him. He was a tough nut to beat. She decided to lure him away from the main square.
However, Thor and Hulk landed on him, beating the shit out of him. "Thanks guys," she said and flew away. She noticed Barton on the building. He shot an arrow at Loki. He grabbed it with his hand and smiled. Seconds later it exploded, which cause Loki to fly onto Stark building. Lilly went after him and landed not far away from him.
"I have you now," she said and walked closer. He wanted to get up, but widen his eyes as he saw Hulk leaping out from the building. He crashed into him, sending both of them through the glass, inside the penthouse. "Enough! You are all, beneath me! I am a god, you dull creature and I will not be bullied—" with that Hulk grabbed Loki by his legs and smashed him against the floor several times.
As Lilly flew in, she saw Loki laying on the ground, Hulk heading the other way. "Puny god." He said to Loki, as he whimpered in pain. "How does it feel now, brother of Thor?" She asked him, looking down at him. She heard a smash, not too far away from her. "The nuke," Loki said and both of them looked at it.
Lilly leaped out from the window and flew towards it. She saw Tony picking it up. "I can give you some boost, Stark," Lilly said. Tony agreed and with that she helped him. She used all her powers, concentrating on fire flowing through her body. "Nngh!" With that she pushed Tony, herself and a nuke through the hole.
Lilly started gasping for air, as Tony's armour started freezing. He looked in terror at what he saw. A giant ship, being exploded in front of them. Lilly was trying to get some air, but failed and passed out. Tony noticed and dived after her. He caught her in his arms and once again looked at the ship. With that he also closed his eyes and both of them fell down.
Natasha closed the portal, but it was only a second that saved their lives. "They're not slowing down," Thor said as he swung his hammer and flew towards them. Hulk caught Tony, while Thor caught Lilly. They placed them on the ground, Steve running towards them.
"Is she breathing?" He asked Thor. He shrugged. With that Thor ripped off Tony's helmet. Both, Tony and Lilly, gasped for air at the same time. "What just happened?" "Please tell us nobody kissed us," Lilly added. Steve smiled at them. "Gosh, you scared me," he said. "Don't worry, you won't get rid of me so easily." He held her by the hand kissed the back of it. "I hope not," with that said, Lilly blushed. She blushed.
Steve looked away, "we won," "Alright. Hey. Alright. Good job, guys. Let's just not come in tomorrow. Let's just take a day. Have you ever tried shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is, but I wanna try it." Tony said. Lilly rose up and sighed. "I wanna try it too," she said glancing at Steve, who was staring at her. Thor looked up at the Stark tower. "We're not finished yet." A pause before Tony said "And then shawarma after."

Loki crawled onto the stair, all beat up. He took a few breaths and sensed someone behind him. He turned and saw all the Avengers staring at him, pissed. "If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink," he said looking at Tony.

All of the Avengers gathered at the park, supporting Thor and Loki, who was handcuffed and muzzled. Lilly was following them behind, sensing that someone had an eyes on her all the time. Loki. As she stopped next to Nat and Clint, she saw him looking straight at her. She didn't know why, so she tried to ignore it.
Thor shook hands with the team and Selvig. "I'll miss you, fiery woman," Thor said as he gave her a hug. "I'll miss you too." Thor let go off the hug and looked at her confused. "No sarcasm or sass this time?" "No." She smiled at him and he returned the smile.
Tony opened the Tesseract's case. The cube was shining brightly, catching the attention of everyone, Loki the most. Banner took it out and placed it inside a glass tube, held by Thor, who gave the other end to Loki. Lilly was looking at both of them, as they disappeared through an energy beam.
Tony and Bruce said their goodbyes and left with Tony's car, leaving the rest of the team alone. "It was a good fight," Steve said as he put his hands in his pockets and strolled towards them. "We won and saved lives, I think that's the most important thing." Nat and Clint nodded. "It's weird how one stupid idea, brings together people who are different, but same in some way," Nat said and looked at Clint. "It definitely was a bonding moment." He replied to her.
"So what are we going to do now?" Steve asked all of them. "Rest. Take some days off," Lilly answered him. "I remembered. Didn't you bought two tickets to the festival?" Nat asked her. "I did. I promise I'll give it to you as soon as I come home," Lilly said and remembered she did buy the tickets long ago.
"I don't want to be a bitch and not show up, so I'll tell you now, that I don't have the time then," Nat said to her. "Bummer." "But I will gladly let my ticket go to someone else," as Nat said that she looked at Cap and grinned. Lilly followed her gaze. "If she wants to, I won't mind going to a festival with her," Steve said with a smile. "It's okay, Cap. You can come with me," Lilly told him.
"I never imagined I'll hang out with people like you, but I am glad I am." With that said all of them parted their ways and were headed for new missions to come, but before that all of them wanted a long break.
