——— THREE YEARS LATER ———
Lilly was driving to the Avengers Compound. Five years passed after Thanos snapped his fingers.Besides dealing with how to bring everyone back, she had her own life now, more or less. She's been helping Nat searching for Clint, but luckily Rhodey was doing better job.
After living with Steve for so long, and seeing how things are unlikely to change back to how they were, she was hoping that they would settle down. Nat often asked her about the ring, but she always gave her the same answer.
"Perhaps he's just not ready," Nat would say. "He made a promise he can't keep. That's why he's not ready." Nat knew what Lilly was referring to and kept silent.
She shook her head and kept her eyes on the road. She saw a brown van before the gate and slowed her car. She slowly walked closer to it, looking inside.
"Nat, there's a strange van parked in front of the gate. No signs of living creatures." She said. She didn't get a respond. "Nat?"
She pulled the bracelet from her pocket and put it on. She tapped it twice and in a second her body was covered in her suit. "Bruce really outdid himself this time."
She opened the gate and flew towards the Compound. She opened the door and flew inside.
She saw a familiar face, standing beside the table, holding a sandwich in his hands. Lilly panted, confused at the scene before her.
"That's quite an entrance," Nat said and crossed her arms. "Takes you breath away, right?" Steve said to Nat.
"Do you want to sleep on the floor tonight?" Lilly said to him. He lifted his hands.
Lilly turned to the man, eating a sandwich. "I've seen you before."
"I'm Scott. Or Ant-Man, if that's more familiar."
"No ..."
"I turned into a giant man at the airport few years ago."
"Oh, that giant red thing? Yeah, I remember now." Scott nodded awkwardly and looked at his sandwich. "Oh, sorry for disturbing you during lunch, but I saw a very ugly brown van outside and—"
"It's mine." Lilly looked back at him. "Okay."
Nat smirked and cleared her throat. "Scott was actually telling us about quantum something."
