Lilly was laying on the floor, fire surrounding her. She slowly opened her eyes, with blurry vision. She looked around her, seeing people laying on the floor, some barely moving.
She slowly got up, but felt a sting on her left side. She groaned and looked at it. She saw a piece of glass sticking out from below her ribs. "Fuck," she said quietly. She knew she wasn't supposed to pull it out, but she also can't leave it like this.
She placed her hand on the glass, but was interrupted by Heimdall. "Wait," he said, lowly. "Heimdall," she said back. He was very injured. "Don't,... waste your powers," he said, "they'll feel."
Before Lilly could ask who 'they' were, she heard what sounded like a man's voice.
"I know what it's like to lose,..." She looked at the direction the voice was coming from. She noticed a giant man-like, standing near the window.
"To feel so desperately that you're right...yet to fail, nonetheless," he said and grabbed Thor by the neck of his breastplate, carrying him like a sack of potatoes. "Thor, no," Lilly said, Heimdall gesturing to keep her voice quiet.
"It's frightening. Turns the legs to jelly," the man said, slowly walking towards the group of his allies. "I ask you, to what end?" Lilly noticed Loki standing before the group. She furrowed her brows together, not understanding why is he standing here.
"Dread it...run from it...destiny arrives all the same," the man continued, "and now, it's here. Or should I say... I am." With that he lifted his gloved hand, revealing a purple stone already resting in one of the empty spaces. "What is this, Heimdall?" She asked him, pain flowing through her as she was speaking.
"An Infinity,... Gauntlet." He paused, speaking even quieter, "the most important thing,... NEVER let him collect all the stones."
"Stones? As in Infinity Stones?" She asked him. He nodded. "Who even is he?"
"Thanos." As he said these words, Thor screamed. Lilly widened her eyes at the scene before her. Thanos was pressing the gauntlet to Thor's left temple. The stone shone brightly.
"Lilly, no," Heimdall said to her, but he was too late.
"STOP!" She screamed in pain. Everyone's attention turned to her. She was breathing heavily, partly because of the pain and partly because of the fear.
Thanos moved away his gauntlet from Thor, smirking at her. "Well, well, well, it seems like we have another spectator," Thanos said.
She didn't dare to move. For a split second she looked at Thor, blood trickling from his mouth and temple, and at Loki, who was mouthing the word 'idiot' at her. "Perhaps we should make this even more interesting," Thanos said, motioning to his allies to go and get her.
