MERFORMERS (MY AU)

🌊Chapter 9🌊

The next follwing days, Evee had visited the Autobotcave quite often. She also had been working at her new job as a waitress and her new boss was proud of her doing actually so well. When it came to be brought to the Autobots secret cave, Optimus was always there to get her. 

What Evee already learned there was, bringing always a swimsuit with her, because the Autobots were, when it came to Bumblebee and Bulkhead, really playful. Most of the time Evee spends there, she is with Optimus, talking mostly about stuff that she does or did in her life. It was very interesting for the Prime indeed to hear about the young girls life so much. Since she was a year older then Jack (which made her the oldest of the kids group), her life was a bit different then theirs, if you don't count in what she had to go through.

Optimus and Evee became in fact good friends while spending time together. He often let her ride on his back while she speaks with him about her life. Or they sit in the water and watch the children play with their guardians while June and Agent Fowler made sure, none of them was hurt. Well...June did, while the agent had calls coming up his ass from the military.

What was strange for Evee, that she didn't heard anything about MECH anymore. It's like they never exsisted. After the building couldn't be repaired due the damage the water had given it, MECH dissapeared right the next day. Since no one was killed or injured in the heat of Evee's plan on freeing Optimus that night, no one was there to tell where they had left. 

Evee thought for a long while that MECH maybe got exposed for what they did but that didn't seemed to be like it, even when everyone was still talking about it. Something seemed fishy about it but...Evee couldn't lay her hand on it. 

At least for now...

"And that would it be for today, dear",said Elliot, giving Evee the last glasses of lemonade she had to serve.  The girl nodded and walked off, bringing the drinks to the guests in the bar. The drinks were ordered by a group of girls, who happened to pass here every day to surf. They weren't the nicest, if Evee was being honest, especially not to her for some reason.
"So, here are your drinks",she said kindly and placed them down. 

Silently, the group watched her putting each drink down infront of them, while they ate from their plates." I have a question",spoke one of the blondes up, looking at her," How come a girl like you comes to this job?" 
Evee knew it was to provoke and make fun of her so she stayed quiet or at least, ignored the girls question:" So, if that would be everything, here is the price you have to pay." Handing the leading girl of the group the check, she looked at her for a brief moment, waiting for the money patiently. The brownhaired girl, who had gotten the check, growled softly before handing the money over:" You're such a cheap brat, you know? Besides those ugly clothes you are wearing." 

The group giggled while Evee took the money and politely said:" Have a nice day you five." With that, she left the laughing girls, her face changing into one of annoyance once she had turned their back to them. Elliot saw her furious face and looked worried:" Ay, again?" Evee nodded simply, untieing her apron that was around her hip and hang it on the wardrobe near the counter. 

"Are you sure I shouldn't talk with them, nina? I'm certain it would help",continued Elliot to talk, while Evee packed her belongings." It wouldn't change a thing but I'm thankful for the offer, Elliot." The man sighed, before giving the teenager a smile:" Stay safe nina!"

"I will!"

 Evee walked out of the bar and down the beach while taking off her shoes. She knew where she was going, even when she made it seem like she only goes to the rocks to actually have some private time. 
Oh how wrong all those people were. 
Awaiting her behind the rocks was Bumblebee to her suprise, since Optimus was always the one who waited for her after work here." Hey Bumblebee",greeted Evee the Merformer, who chirped happily at her. She smiled before she took her clothes off, revealing a beautiful swimsuit underneath. Then she grabbed her bag and pulled out a plastic water proof bag and putted her clothes in it after folding them, then followed her shoes in a sepperate one. Once she was done, she shouldered her bagpack again and sat down on the rock:" I'm ready big guy." Bumblebee nodded and turned around, letting Evee fall on his back. Once she had settled down completly, the Merformer swam away from the beach and dived down, making his way to the Autobotcave.

Evee watched as always when she was brought to the cave the living swim past her underwater. She adored the ocean and its life, it was so beautiful here. Why would humans destroy such a place.

Bumblebee chirped softly, signaling that they will arrive soon at the base. Evee smiled and patted his shoulder gently, mentioning for him to go up since she needed air soon. The scout understood and did so, letting Evee take in a deep breath of air before she watched the landscape pass her, as Bee kept swimming through the water. 

Soon, the scout had reached the cave, chirping loudly. The kids were already there too, Miko being the first one to greet the girl on Bumblebee's back:" Hey Evee!" The girl smiled, slipping down from Bee's back and sitting down on a rock that was halfway underwater:" Hello Miko." Then she let a short moment scan her eyes for her guardian, noticing he is nowhere to be seen.

"Where is Optimus?"

"On a mission",said Arcee, who was with Jack. Evee wasn't going to question what kind of mission but she hoped her guardian was fine. Miko noticed her worried expression and grinned:" Hey, how about you put your bag away and we play? I'm certain Optimus will be back in no time and you can relax." Raf pushed his glasses up his nose, answering to Miko's words before Evee could:" You just want them to be together, Miko." 

The girl whined at the fact that she got exposed. Evee giggled and went down from the rock, swimming to the rock platform ahead of her and placed her bag on it before she came back:" I don't mind when we play until Optimus comes back. I had a rough day at work anyways." Jack jumped up to the rock platform next to Arcee:" What happened?" Evee layed on her back, letting the water carry her:" Just some girls at the bar mocking me. Nothing much if you ask me, making fun of my clothes and looks." Bulkhead looked at her after letting Miko sit on his back:" That dosen't sound nice."" Why do humans mistreat other humans anyways?",asked Arcee." Most of them do that because they want to see the other suffer or the don't like them because of something. Or they just can't deal with their problems that well and let it out on someone else."

The Autobots looked at each other before Bulkhead spoke up again:" You don't have to worry about us, we wouldn't do that to you." Arcee smiled reassuringly at the girl as she looked her way. Evee smiled, replying to Bulkheads words:" I know, Bulkhead. You aren't humans after all. But I really apprechiate it." The wrecker smiled before he yelled:" Let's have some fun now, shall we!" Laughing, the kids and the Autobots made the best of their time. Hide and seek, races. Everything what was possible to do. June also came over with home made sandwiches, much to Evee's pleasure. 
The hours of playing became longer, right now, they were playing hide and seek again. Evee giggled as she watched the wrecker search for them all, but not being able to find them. Even Miko's hideout was so obvious that made Evee laugh softly and almost blow up her cover. 

Then she heard a familiar voice coming from across the cave, making the Autobots such as the kids and herself look into that direction. Evee began to smile. Optimus was back!
The leader didn't saw her yet, since he was talking with a, to her, unknown Merformer. He had markings like the blue whale, he might be even resembling one. 
Evee stared at them with confusion in her eyes, only for her eyes to widen in shock, as she saw the unknown Merformer come to her with great speed.

"An intruder!"

She got pushed down underwater with a strong grib, not even giving her time to cry out or yelp in fear, as the kids watched with shock the scene. Evee struggled underwater, while the Merformer pressed her down, hands around her neck:

"Who are you! And how did you find us, human!?"

Her legs kicked weakly in the water around as she tried to make the Merformers grib lose around her neck, but it was to no avail. Bubbles of her coming close to losing her breath went to the surface, while her vision started to blurr. 
Then a shadow was above them, swimming down to them rather fast. She could only make out the colors red and blue.

Optimus...
