🌊Chapter 1🌊

It was a normal day. Evee just had gotten out of her college class and went straight to the laboratory she worked at after her college. Recently, her boss had made a huge discovery in the near by fishing village.

A Merformer, an ancient creature, similar to the mermaids from the stories children were told to. Big and giant fish that looked similar to a human, with armor on their body. Each of them had different names, signs. Not many people saw a Merformer before, not even Evee and she worked in a laboratory. But with her position, it was no wonder.

Evee was basically a maid. She had to clean up after the scientists mess and whatever they did in the lab. Her boss was a not so nice man, he was rather cold to her. His men got treated with respect and something close to kindness but she...none of that was going to her.
Why she had that position in such a lab was merely a blurr memory to her.
Her mother used to work her when she was younger and actually had encountered some Merformers, but she got signed off that she was insane once reporters stormed the laboratory and putted her away into a clinic. So Evee had to live her life alone in a small house at the end of the city, near the fishing village. Even when she got not so much money for her hard work, she could live from it fairly enough to buy food, pay rent and look after her school stuff. Luckily for her, the goverment payed her college bills, since she was too young yet to do so.

Evee was on her way right now to the laboratory called MECH. She didn't had time to go home, dress up and relax a bit, maybe even eating, she had a strict shedule she has to go after and her boss didn't liked workers who come late to their job.
After arriving at the building she quickly let her card get scanned at the entrance and went inside. Her boss was talking to a few fishermen while holding a clipboard in his hands." You're this time a bit early, Yakuza",snarled Silas as he saw Evee speedwalking to the janitors closet to get dressed into her normal work clothes." Yes Sir, the college was so kind to give me a few minutes earlier free."" Very well then, now get to work." Evee nodded and went inside the small room, placing her bag down and dressed up. She got her cleaning stuff and left the room again but not before taking a bite of her sandwich that she had snugged in her bag to eat in her break. She was hungry after all and working as a janitor here wasn't easy at all.

After leaving the small room, Evee began to clean the tanks and clean the hallways and rooms, such as the tools the scientists use here to experiment on the living here. Evee found them rarely covered with organs sometimes, when she was being honest, MECH was a cruel organisation, they treated the living in the water like trash for their own amusement. It sickened her, but she couldn't do anything about it. Luckily, they weren't that mad and left organs around the place.

Evee sighed as she finished cleaning up the room with one single tank in it and rubbed the sweat from her forhead. She looked into the crystal blue water, seeing her exhausted expression clear. She was ashamed of herself, if she was being honest. A teenager working for such a cruel man as a janitor and has to witness the living dying over and over, while Silas only wants one thing in his posession: The Merformers. It sickened her, but she can't exactly run to the goverment with this. They wouldn't believe her and MECH will surely fire her from the job she desperately needed to make money to at least hold herself above the surface.
Evee turned her head away from the tank and walked out, pulling the cart with buckets, tools and litterly anything to clean stuff withm with her outside to put it away. Her shift was over and she needed to be home fast. Because in the night, it wasn't safe. It never was with MECH roaming around.

"Are you certain you saw it?"
"Yes! It was near our boats, trying to get fish for its pack! It was a big one!"

Evee heard voices once she went out of the janitors closet after putting everything away and revealing her black hoodie, black ripped jeans and shoes. Her bag was losely over one of her shoulders while she looked to her boss, Silas, and the fishermen." And are you sure, it was the leader."" Yes! He had the same color sheme that you showed us!" Evee pretended she checked something on her phone while listening to the whole conversation the three men were having." Did you capture him."" Our men are currently on the east side of the beach where we saw him. We trapped him in our net cage, so he can't escape us."

"Are they talking about Merformers?",thought Evee, still pretending to be on her phone the entire time. Even when people say, Merformers aren't real, she surely believed what her mother saw, even when she was stomped off as insane.

Suddenly a phone rang and one of the fishermen pulled it out. A simple Nokia."What is it Mike, I am talking with- What?! Really!? I will tell him right away! Thank you Mike, keep it where it is!" Silas raised an eyebrow, so did Evee, but nobody was giving her the attention to notice it." Good news Sir. They have caught the leader of the Autobot pack." Silas lips curled up into a sly grin as he answered:" Good, gentlemen. Bring the specimen tomorrow into the big tank in room 37. We will talk then about your...payment."

Evee gasped softly as the three men walked away. They really catched a Merformer?! The girl held her phone tightly, but not breaking it in the process of doing so. Was her boss really going to experiment on the leader here? A Merformer LEADER?! Her mother told her, that they had a Merformer called Breakdown captive here once and made him lose his eye, but he got freed from his pack years ago. Since then, her mother had never heard of that Merformer again, but if Evee was being honest, she didn't really expected a creature like this Breakdown to ever come back to those he had seen with the people who hurted him, made him lose his eye.

"Evee! What are you still doing here?!",said Silas harsh, as he witnessed the girl standing spaced out at the door," Move your feet and get out of here!" With a not so gentle push forward, Silas made the girl knock into the glass door, that opened and made her stumble outside. She turned her head to her boss:" I-I'm sorry Sir, I just spaced out." Silas didn't answer at that, he just gave her a glare before he closed the door and walked away.
Evee knew what he was doing now, he was going to the backyard and drive with the fishermen to the village to get that leader from this so called "Autobotpack". While walking home, Evee thought about it the whole time, the conversation, she had heard. What will Silas do with this leader besides experimenting on him...?

Hello my fellow readers,

I got inspired by a Wattpad Story I was reading and decided to make my own Merformers AU! :3
The chapters will surely be differently long and contain, I think, OOC (out of character) characters from our favourite show Transformers Prime.

I will try to make them not too much OCC (even when it's an AU) and even when I have Gacha Club versions of them, I posted some pictures of the Merformers I could find on Pinterest or in Google.

I really hope you will enjoy reading this story. It's my first english one, so don't be a little too hard on me, when I make grammar mistakes ^^"
