MERFORMERS (MY AU)

🌊Chapter 8🌊

Evee slided from Bumblebee's back and swam to Optimus. She stopped right infront of the massive leader, looking up to him with a smile. Optimus looked down at her, feeling a wave of joy going through his body to see the girl again.
"It's good to see you again, Evee",he said with a small smile. Evee returned the smile with a brighter one, showing clearly her happiness of seeing the Prime:" It's good to see you too, Optimus." The leader looked into her eyes, his smile still present on his face. Evee still returned the look, never breaking the eye contact. 

"Wait, you two know each other?",suddenly asked the girl with the pig tails, causing Evee to flinch because she wasn't expecting to hear someone speak in this silence around her and Optimus. Clearing their throats, Optimus looked at her:" She was the one that had saved me last night from MECH." Everyone looked at Evee in shock, while she gulped.

What will they think now of her?

"Do not worry, she is not a threat. She was in fact kind to me. She is on our side",defended Optimus the small girl, looking at her reassuringly. Evee's body eased up and the tension dissapeared. The Prime turned to everyone in the cave while Evee followed with her eyes. He surely made her look like a shrimp next to him.

"Evee, this is my team",spoke Optimus up, introducing her to the present males named Bulkhead, Ratchet the medic and Bumblebee. As for the only female Merformer, which was called Arcee. Then he gestured to the kids, who were wearing either a swimsuit or a normal pants they could swim with:" These are the human children we consinder as our friends. Jack, Raf and Miko." Miko, the girl with pig tails, waved at Evee while the boys just nodded silently. The girl gave them a small smile before she followed Optimus's introduction:" And this is Agent Fowler and June Darby." The two adults gave the girl a small smile in return. Evee looked at them all, smiling:" It's nice meeting you all. As you already heard from Optimus, my name is Evee." 

Agent Fowler stepped forward, looking at her:" Can I have a word with you, Evee?" Unsure what the agent wanted from her, the girl nodded and swam to the rock platform that he was standing on. Optimus followed her and picked her up gently and sat her down on it, since it was a bit out of her reach." Thank you, Optimus",smiled Evee. The Prime nodded softly and smiled once again before he swam off to Ratchet, while everyone went to do their own thing.

"Optimus said, you freed him from MECH",began Agent Fowler, looking down at the girl," How come you have been in contact with them?" Evee started telling him everything she had also told Optimus in the lab. Agent Fowler listened and started to speak once Evee was done:" I see. So you are now a waitress at the beach?" Evee nodded:" Going back to my old job, that was previously my mothers, would be a death wish." Fowler nodded silently. Indeed it would be." I'll inform the military and goverment about this and take the custody from them to us. So you won't have to worry much about what happens next." Evee nodded, this seemed to be a good sign she was in good hands. The military taking care of her school bills and that she lived a pretty much normal life? What else could get go wrong?

"Well, in all ways, welcome here",ended Agent Fowler the conversation. Evee watched him walk to the nurse, as they talked about none important stuff. Evee sat down at the edge of the stone platform she was on, watching the kids play with their Merformer guardian while the adults talked among each other. 
Evee sighed a bit.

"I can show you around, if you want",startled her a deep voice. Evee flinched and looked up to see Optimus towering over her." O-Oh my godness you scared me",she breathed out, holding a hand to her chest. Optimus chuckled softly:" My apologies."" It's okay. It just happened without a warning." Optimus smiled at her before he repeated what he said:" I can show you around, if you want." Evee nodded:" Sure, I don't mind, since I'm certain I will be here more often." Optimus smiled gently and sank a bit deeper into the water. Evee pulled off her shoes and socks before she jumped after him, coming back up infront of him after being for a short time underwater. 

She couldn't help but look up to the Prime slightly, making him look down to her. She gulped a bit, but kept her eyes on him, their vision locking with each other. Optimues lowered himself, making Evee flinch a bit and the contact broke." It will be easier if you sit on my back",said the Prime. The girl hesitated for a moment before she climbed onto Optimus's back. If she was being honest, by the looks of it, he was the tallest from the group. 
Evee held onto his shoulders, as the leader slowly swam towards the big cave, showing her some of it, such as the extra pool of water as some kind of "medbay". Underwater were many plants and sea creatures that lived down there, such as tools and some small homes, probably the Merformers beds or rooms. Besides that, not much was here besides the beautiful nature and some human equipment from the children and the others." Its really beautiful here, Optimus",said Evee with a smile, looking at the Prime, who was still carrying her around the water." I'm glad you like it here, Evee",answered Optimus and looked at the children and their guardians," But I'm afraid that you need a guardian."

Evee looked confused:" A guardian? Why is that?"
"Let us say, there are some things in the water that are not so friendly",answered Ratchet, who had heard her question.
"Ratchet is right, Evee", said Optimus, looking at her after tilting his head," In order to be safe, you must have a guardian." 

The girl looked at the kids and the Merformers that were with them. Bumblebee was splashing them with water, causing them to giggle. Optimus followed her stare before he thought for a while:" I will be your guardian, Evee." The girl looked suprised hearing that. She didn't expected Optimus to be her guardian, especially because he was leading the Autobotpack. 

Seeing her questioning look, the Prime simply replied with a small smile:" It's the least I can do after you have rescued me." Evee smiled softly and replied:" I accept the offer, Optimus." The Prime looked clearly happy at her desicion and his smile brightened a bit more.

With that, he continued showing the girl around, even when it were the smallest things to get her comfortable at their home.

"Sir."

A man walked up to another, showing on a tablet a camera tape:" We know now, how he escaped."

Dark looking eyes narrowed and in the next second, the tablet flew against the wall, shattering it." Find her immediatly!",came Silas's harsh voice out of his mouth, making surely a few of his men flinch.

"Bring that girl back to me. She will be our bait to lure them all here."
He grinned slightly:" Even when it might be too late, to save her."
