MERFORMERS (MY AU)

🌊Chapter 7🌊

The next day came soon for Evee. 
The girl could finally have a good breakfast and a long nice shower with a perfect view on the beach. Right now, Evee was trying to get the shampoo out of her hair, that had been stuck there for god knows long. She groaned as she tasted it in her mouth. She spitted it out, clearly disgusted and cleaned her mouth.

Once she was done cleaning her hair, she stepped out of the shower and rung it out, before rubbing a towel over her head for a short moment to dry her hair a bit, before she covered her naked form. Her eyes travelled to the beach that was near her house. Lucky that she wasn't living in a city where, for example, her college was. Right...college...what about that?
Should she just tell her teacher she isn't feeling good and stay home? In other ways, it wouldn't be right but what else could she do?
She can't just say "Oh yeah, hi, I just want to say I will surely be fired from my job by helping a Merformer back to the ocean after it got experimented on and I flodd a whole ass building. So I won't be coming today." She couldn't just say that! She would sound insane like many thought of her mother!

Evee sighed, frustrated. Maybe when she would go to the beach, she would at least feel a bit better then she does now. And next to that, she needed a new job, because going back to MECH would be a death wish. Running a hand through her hair, she decided not to call her school and take a day off at the nearby beach. She dried her body and walked into her room, dressing into her typical outfit. She put a bit of her hair into a pony tail and pushed her glasses onto her nose. 

The girl walked down the stairs to put on her shoes while she had a cheese toast in her mouth (she putted it in her sandwich maker before showering). After dressing up, she walked outside of her house, having the keys in her pocket of her ripped jeans. 
Slowly, she walked down the street, remembering the events of last night clearly. She and Optimus made a great escape from the lab while she had flodd the whole building in order to do that. She can still see the water that ran down when they got pushed down the street.

"I bet MECH has a lot to fix up",she thought to herself. 

While she continued to walk along her way, she heard serveal news talking about what had happened at her old workplace, causing her to look over sometimes. Luckily, on all those pictures, that were shown, were neither she or Optimus on. It was truely a relieving fact, she dosen't want to imagine if someone caught them. Merformers would be at a much more greater risk then they already are because of MECH and Silas's greedy hands.

At least it was over.
For now.

Evee had arrived at the beach. Not much people were here, besides some barkeepers and rescue swimmers. She looked around unsteady, hoping no one would recognize her." Hey! You!"
Too late.
Evee looked to the side, seeing a bar keeper approach her. She tilted her head in slight confusion of what the man wanted from her." Can I help you with something?",she asked softly." Yes actually. I need a waitress for my guests." Evee blinked confused. A waitress huh? That would actually be good and she would get still money to hold her above surface and survive." How much do you pay for the job?",she asked, making the bar keeper look up with excitement." Tell me how much you at least need." So this man was willing to let her work for a fair price? Why would she say "no" to that. 

Evee told the bar keeper what he needed to know and actually told him that she was working with MECH before as a janitor, so she dosen't really know if the waitress job would actually suit her. Lucky for the barkeeper, he understood the girl to her fullest and showed her a few things she needed to know. 
The price on the other hand was set, that Evee didn't needed to work much the day and maybe at least three times a week, which the girl found to be a relaxing shedule. It was different then working with MECH.

"You can start tomorrow if you want",said the barkeeper with a thumbs up," I can tell you had a rough night yesterday and after what happened in the lab with the water. Jesus, was no one there to save you?" 
Being reminded by Optimus made the girl smile softly:" There was. But since I wasn't really concious, I couldn't see them. They helped me, but as I wanted to thank them, they dissapeared."" Well, that sucks. At least you didn't drown and luckily that door crashed open." Evee nodded only, her mind picturing Optimus infront of her once more, how he had shielded her from the impact with the glass door. The smile widened on her face as she thought about, looking at the ocean. She wondered when she will see him again.

"Well, Evee. I see you tomorrow",smiled the barkeeper and walked away. Evee waved:" Yes! See you tomorrow!" With that, she was alone again. The girl sighed, looking at the waves of the ocean before she decided to walk along the beach to the near by rocks, to spend some time there. It wouldn't take long for the beach to be flodded with people anyways and a good alone time was there better then nothing.
Jumping from rock to rock, she finally met with some rockplates at the end of the beach, hidden from prying eyes. She sat down with crossed legs, looking at the glittering water infront of her. The ground was seen with its fish and living plants, making Evee smile softly. The ocean was so beautiful, sadly that people like MECH don't see it that way.

What Evee didn't noticed was the huge shadow slowly coming closer to her. She was so focused on looking down to the bottom of the sea. Only, as the creature suddenly came out of the water, she yelped and backed up. Breathing heavy, Evee stared at it , only to realize its body shape." Are you a...Merformer?" The creature nodded, chirping happily. Evee slowly calmed down and went infront of the Merformer again, noticing the cross scar on his neck." Oh, what happened there...?",she asked with worry, causing the Merformer to chirp sadly. Did MECH do this to him? Well...Evee assumed it was a male. 

"I know this is a weird question but...do you know someone named Optimus Prime? He is a Merformer like you",said Evee. The yellow and black Merformer squealed softly hearing the leaders name. Evee looked suprised:" You know him?!" Her opponent nodded while chriping happily. Evee smiled brightly." Can you take me to him?" The male turned around so his back was facing the girl. She thought for a moment, before she realised:" Wait...You were going to bring me to him?" The Merformer chirped softly at that, letting Evee take that as a "yes". She slowly climbed onto the Merformers back, holding onto his shoulders tightly." Okay, I'm ready where...ever we are going now." The male nodded and dived down, but made sure to stay close to the surface so they could go up if Evee needed air. The two of them passed many fish and even sea turtles, while the Merformer took Evee to his leader. 

If she was being honest, she couldn't wait to see Optimus again.
She hoped he was alright...

The Merformer was gentle with her on his back, as he sawm through the ocean to their hiding place. Evee on the other hand was amazed. She never was on a Merformers back. Well...besides being on Optimus stomach of course, but that was different. Way different.

Soon the Merformer chirped and went above surface for Evee to breathe." Where are we...",she mumbled, looking around while the male swam through the water. It was very green here, if Evee was being honest. Full of light and clean. As some rocks came into view, showing a large cave with a waterfall falling through a hole in the ceiling the rocks made, she gasped softly. This cave was on the other side of the beach, far away if she was correct. 

She heard kids laughing and the splashing of water, such as adult noises. She was very confused, but her opponent knew those very well. He chirped loudly, making three different aged kids running over." Hey, guys!",yelled a girl with two pig tails and a bit of open hair," Bumblebee is back!"
As Bumblebee swam past some rocks, Evee gasped softly. She could see a few more Merformers, either being in the water or on top of a rock, looking at them and halting their conversation. An older man and a woman with black hair weren't far away aswell, looking at Bumblebee and the girl who sat on his back. Evee's eyes scanned the whole place until she found the Merformer she was looking forward to see again.

Optimus smiled as he sawm up to Bumblebee and Evee, welcoming them:" Welcome to our cave, Evee."
