🌊Chapter 13🌊

The next following weeks were rough.

The Autobots were on missions and the kids were always alone with Ratchet, while June also had to start to work again and Agent Fowler had problems with his boss. Evee on the other hand, was worried for her guardian. Since she learned about those Decepticons, nothing seemed to be the same anymore. Everyone was stern and withdrawn.

At the very moment, Evee sat on a rock, doing her homework as she saw the Autobots return. Ratchet swam to them, eager to know how it went:" Did you find energon?!" Arcee gave him a full bag of energon crystals:" Only a little, but it will keep us alive." Ratchet sighed:" At least a bit is better then having nothing."

Optimus watched his team bringing the crystals away, before he turned his head to his human friend, who didn't noticed them arriving. The tilted his head, as he saw the books around her." Evee?"
With a yelp, the girl jumped and looked at her guardian:" You scared me, Optimus!" The Prime chuckled:" I'm sorry. But I couldn't help but wonder what you are doing." Evee settled down once her body recovered from the shock:" I'm doing homework." Optimus looked puzzled at the word:" Homework?" Evee nods:" Yes, like Miko does sometimes. Our teachers give them to us and we have to bring them tomorrow the results. Otherwise we will be punished with detention." The Prime nodded while letting the information sink in.

"The fun fact is...Miko never does homework",grumbled the girl, making Optimus chuckle. Evee smiled at him before she looked through her written exercises:" Hm...this seems to be it. I'm done with my homework for now." She putted the books away aswell as her pen and stretched with a sigh.

Optimus joined her on the rock and looked at her, while Evee looked up to him:" How was the mission?"" It went not as we had hoped but we found what we needed",was her answer." I see. Ratchet seemed to have energon in his hands that Arcee found. He didn't looked that pleased that it isn't so much."
"Ratchet is just worried. The Decepticons have all the energon resources here in the ocean, which leaves almost nothing behind for us." Evee gulped, but her eyes narrowed hearing the Decepticons again. She hated them for what they have done to Optimus, to her guardian. How could they?!

If she should Megatron, she will punch him with her flipflop, that is for sure!

"Evee",Optimus's voice pulled her back into reality. The girl looked up to him, noticing his worried stare:" You suddenly looked so angry. Are you alright?"" It would be a lie if I said "yes"...",admitted the teenager, looking down at her hands," I can't forgive those Decepticons for injuring you. The image of you laying there, bleeding and grunting in pain. It hurted me."
"My deepest apologies that you had to see such things, Evee. I never wanted you to feel sad",Optimus said sorrowfully. Evee putted her small hand on Optimus's:" It's okay...just...be a bit more careful next time. Alright?" The Prime nodded and looked at her.

Evee layed her head against his arm then, sighing softly. Optimus in the mean time looked over his team, watching the kids play with their guardians while Ratchet was busy fixing stuff that Bulkhead had destroyed. Evee smiled softly as she remembered the medic yelling through the cave "Bulkhead, I needed that!". It made her laugh so much.

"Optimus, an energy signal is going down at the east side of the beach, near the old lagoon." The leader looked up, jumping down from the rock while Evee follows him. He let her sit on his back and swam towards Arcee, who was near the monitors with Bulkhead and Bumblebee." Deceptions?"" We don't know yet, but it seems like they search for something. But what could possibly be in the lagoon, everything was gone."

Evee thought for a moment:" Do you mean the lagoon where that tragedy happened with that one family?" Arcee looked at her, like all the others. Jack started to remember aswell:" Yeah, the family was found there, dead after a shark attack."
It was quiet for some time before Optimus spoke up:" We will investigate this. You children stay here." Miko whined for some reason but Evee didn't question it. 

For now...

Slipping from her guardians back, she looked up to him:" Stay safe." Optimus nodded and swam away with his team before giving her a last glance. The girl sighed, before swimming back to the rocks. Jack sits down next to her:" Hey, don't worry, they will be back soon."
"Yeah, and Optimus will be okay." Jack gave Miko a knowing look, making her groan:" Whaaat? It's clear he is in love with her I mean, have you seem how he acts around her? It's like, beauty and the beast." Evee looked at her dumbfounded.

"Yeah, great refference",she waved off.
In her head, she thought about it. Optimus? In love with her? 

"Come on Miko, don't bring things into her head",groaned Jack," It's enough you always run after the bots when they are-" Some silence filled the air, causing Evee to look up, only to find Miko running away." Miko! Get back here!" The three remaining kids jump up, running after her. Evee wasn't sure if that was s good idea, but they needed to get Miko back. 

Something told her, that this will be far more dangerous then what she had encountered at her old job...
