"I didn't expect Cybertron to...look like a planet",muttered Evee softly, as she slowly came out from behind Optimus, hugging herself. Arcee swam next to her, staring like the others at the dead City." After Primus became one with our planet, it started to transform and match the planet you call earth. To inhabitat our species." Evee stared at her, before looking once again ahead." Did humans discover Cybertron?",she asked.
"Your kind, back before the waters where this high, have met our ancestors. But your kind did not live long enough to carry out our secret. If so, we would not be here anymore",spoke Optimus up. Evee knew what he meant with that. If the humans back in the early years of earth would have been able to carry out, that Merformers existed until this day, each of them would have been hunted down and experimented on, or even worse.

"I'm glad our kind didn't lived to the point where we would do that to you",mumbled the girl, rubbing her, with sleeves covered, arms. Optimus stared at her for a short moment, before looking back ahead." Well uh, are we going to enter now or just stare from a safe distance?",asked Knockout. Breakdown rolled his eyes:" Don't tell me you want to chicken out."
"Hey, it took me long to make these fins look flawless."

Evee rolled her eyes at Knockout's comment:" You knew we were going on a mission and you seriously had nothing better to do?" Arcee grinned at the girls words:" She has a point you know?" Knockout rolled his eyes and mimicked Arcee's words:" She has a point you know? Yeah, yeah." He stuck out his tongue at the end of his sentence, before he got a slap on the forhead by Bulkhead." Hey! Watch the fins!",yelled the red Mer out, checking his fin before following the group."

Evee made sure she was close to Optimus, while Cybertron was getting closer to the group. With each passing minute, the water around them began to feel strange as if no oxygen was in it. Bulkhead, who seemed to suffer from this, groaned and stopped for a moment. Wheeljack swam to his side, giving the wrecker some help:" I think the water is affecting him." The group turned and surrounded Bulkhead, who waved his hand in a dismissing manner:" I'm fine, Jackie. There is nothing I can't take."
"We should be careful though",said Evee, crossing her arms," It might get worse if you get any more near Cybertron. Maybe we should make two groups that scout around the planet, while I and Optimus investigate it." Breakdown, who was next to Evee, looked at the girl, his yellow eyes showing worry:" Are you sure about this? The infected water could have worse effects on you, then it does on Bulkhead."" He's right, doll. Maybe you should be scouting instead of investigating",spoke Knockout up, looking at the girl." I can't, you know? I have to connect the Matrix Shard with Cybertron's core." She shows them the necklace around her neck, where the shard was connected." Well, why can't someone else do it?",asked Knockout with a shrug. Smokescreen smacked his tail against the one of the Ex-Decepticon:" Did you forgot that she got chosen by the Primes to do this? Someone can't just simply take her place, not even Optimus. And he is a Prime."

"Not to forget, Evee is now a Prime too",mentioned Wheeljack.
"Okay, okay, don't mention that all the time, it's emberassing",grumbled the girl in a hushed voice, making the group chuckle.

"Plus, if anything should be there, Optimus is there to defend her",mentioned Arcee." Arcee!",hissed Evee in emberassment, making the Prime next to her smile.
"What, I know I'm right."

"Well, then we should get to scouting the are",spoke Ultra Magnus, eventually splitting up the group, taking Breakdown, Knockout and Smokescreen with him, leaving Wheeljack, Bulkhead, Bumblebee and Arcee as the second group to scout. Both groups swam in different directions, leaving Evee alone with Optimus. She sighs, rubbing her head:" Well, this was something." Then her eyes looked at Cybertron." What do you think we will find there...?",she mumbled, looking up to Optimus. The Prime had his eyes narrowed, staring at the purple light, that emerged from the planet ahead of them:" We will see..."
Together, the two swam closer to the planet, soon meeting the first destroyed buildings and demolished streets. 

Evee took her time to look around, not believing what kind of destruction she was seeing. And she thought, human wars were worse...
She stopped infront of a tall building, that once must've held so much glory, since it was in the middle of a plaza. She swam closer to the signature, that was on it near the entrance. But since it's in cybertronian language, she couldn't read it.
"The Iacon Hall of Records",spoke Optimus behind her up," I used to be an archivist there." Evee turned around to him, noticing the sadness in his eyes, before he continued to look around. Evee looked one last time at the signature before following him.

"It's...sad to see something so beautiful like this destroyed...",mumbled Evee, while she looked around," To imagine, that it was once alive here. Everyone doing their normal things and...going on with their life." Optimus listened to her words, while he took a look around aswell. It was true, what the girl had said, Cybertron used to be a beautiful place, where the Mers lived in harmony and did their daily activities. But once the war came and washed over the planet, Cybertron became a lifeless husk, never to be lived on again.
"I...did not want you to see my home like this",spoke the Prime up, the sorrow was audible in his voice. Evee looked at him, her own sadness mixing itself in her eyes, seeing her sparkmate like this. She stayed silent, not knowing what to say. 

She wanted to comfort him, tell him that everything was going to be okay, that, once she connected the shard to the core, she will help rebuilding Cybertron, so he can show her everything. To live with her on his home planet. She rubbed her arm and averted her eyes from the Prime, looking around the empty and silent void, before her eyes catched a glimpse of purple light. 
"Optimus."

The Prime followed her gaze, seeing the purple light aswell. He narrowed his eyes, his serious stare returning faster then Evee could've said fried Fish 'n Chips." Stay behind me",said Optimus in a serious tone, as he swam closer to the purple light. Evee followed close behind him, not leaving his side or dissobeying his order. Whatever was there near the purple light, it might be dangerous after all.

Not to say, they were on a dead planet, destroyed from a centuries old war.
It wouldn't suprise the girl if they found Undead or Zombies here. 

Once reaching the place where the purple light was coming from, Optimus stopped, an arm infront of Evee, who did not leave his side, like he told her to. The Prime scanned the area, seeming to recognize the place. This was the place, that leaded to Cybertron's very core." Optimus...",hearing his sparkmates scared voice, the Leader looked at her, only seeing her pointing at something before them, trembling slightly. Optimus followed where she was pointing at, only to widen his eyes slightly, as he saw, what she was pointing at." It really is you",he spoke, his voice sounding dark, which send Evee shivers down her spine.

"Unicron, the Chaos Bringer."
