I'm so sorry for the long wait you guys, but I finally got an idea how to somehow finish this book. I actually don't know if I will ever make a sequel to this one if I'm honest, but I will try to bring up MECH once again, if I find a good spot for them to fit in. Anyways, enjoy the, not so hopefully scrappy, chapter! :3

A few days had passed after Optimus had kissed her. Evee was still blushing like mad, when Miko teased her about it. It wasn't really a secret, that she and the Leader were now a thing among the Autobots. Even when Ratchet saw some difficulties about it, he was happy, that Optimus had found someone he was happy being with. 
Evee had a lot of work on her hands, but kept in touch with Elliot, who was so grateful to get her a few days off of work due to her current "problems" she had to face. She was missing a long time after she got captured by the Decepticons. 

She didn't hear anything from Soundwave, Breakdown or Knockout since she got saved, which worried her. They knew they were getting into trouble with freeing her and Megatron isn't someone to mess with. And don't forget Shockwave, of course.

The days were going normally, after being saved. Evee was working, then hanging out with the Autobots and her partner Optimus before going back home to repeat the day all over again. Nothing had really changed in her life for the current moment, everything seemed perfect. Well...seemed...

The sky way grey when Evee had finished her work at the bar. Saying her goodbye to Elliot, Evee stepped outside, only to meet with a cold wind. Sure, it was the oceanbreeze and those could become quite cold but...not like it would be Winter in the middle of summer. 
But the girl didn't payed it much thought. She started to walk to the rocks, where either Optimus or Bumblebee was waiting for her to bring her to the Autobotcave. She was so exited to be there once again.

Once arriving, she was met with neither Bumblebee or Optimus. Instead, she was met with Ratchet." Ratchet?",Evee kneeled down to the doctor to be at his eye level," I wasn't expecting you to be the one to get me."
"An issue happened back on a mission, which is why I will be the one escorting you to the base." Nodding only at that, Evee changed out of her clothes into her swimsuit and made sure, her clothes will remain dry when entering the water such as her shoes. She slipped into the ice cold water, making her shiver slightly." I-I didn't expected the water to be so cold. And it's in the middle of summer." With Ratchet's help, she soon sat on the medics back." It certainly is worrying, I have to admit that",agreed Ratchet, starting to swim ahead, away from the platform of rocks." Are the others invesitagting this?",asked Evee, holding onto Ratchet's shoulders, as he continued to swim towards the Autobotcave." Yes. But he have no clues yet, what has caused the water an weather to change so dramatically."

Evee thought for a moment, before asking:" Won't the cold be deadly for you Merformers?"" In some circumstances, yes. But not as much as you think." Nodding her head, Evee held her breath in, once Ratchet dived down and swam to the cave. Seeing the life pass her underwater, Evee noticed, that not so many fish were around. As if they all were hiding from something. The corals even looked kind of dead and drained of color, like, they were robbed from it. It truly was worrying.

Focusing on the road ahead, Evee saw already the plants approaching, that were marking the entrance to the Autobots cave. She smiled slightly, bubbling inside with the joy of being there again. Once Ratchet went bove surface, the girl took her time looking at the plants. They seemed to be alright, aside from the living underwater. She furrowed her brows while looking around. She truly wondered, what could have caused the waters to be so...strange.
Arriving at the cave, she saw Miko, Raf, Jack, June and Agent Fowler. They were all talking among themselfs, before eyeing Ratchet and Evee, who came closer. Under them was also a new Merformer, Evee had never seen. Sure, she had met Smokescreen over time, who was sometimes coming here, but this Merformer? He was completly new.

"Hey Evee",greeted Miko the girl, helping her out of the water, once she got up from Ratchet's back." Hey Miko." Grabbing a towel, Evee dried herself with it and dressed back into her clothes, apart from socks and shoes. Letting her eyes scan the cave, she found most of the Autobots to be gone." They are on a mission. Don't worry, they will be back." Nodding at Miko's words, Evee gladly took a sandwich from June, who held it out to her. Sitting down next to the kids, she looked at the water.

"It looks terrible down there. As if no colors are there. Or no life." Evee had a sorrowful look in her eyes. Days ago, she remembered playing around with the Autobots and her partner around the corals in the ocean, having fun even, and Optimus smiling and laughing, even accompanying them in such a case was rare. And now...
"It feels like the water is poisoned by something",Evee said, running her hand through the crystal clear, but slightly darker looking, water. The new Merformer eventually came up to her, making her look at him.

"So, you're the Prime's sparkmate?"

He sounded sassy, but nice to be around. Evee nodded, eyeing the Merformer infront of her, who gave her a small smile, which she returned. Miko stepped in, petting the Merformer's head, making him purr:" That's Wheeljack. Bulkhead's best friend. He rarely is around because of Ultra Magnus and mostly likes to be solo." Evee stared at Miko for a moment, before looking back at Wheeljack. She smiled gently:" Nice to meet you, Wheeljack." The wrecker returned the smile, before he got called over by Ratchet. Evee watched the two talk, before touching the water again. Her brows were furrowed, while her hand was drowned in the dark looking water. 

"It looks so colorless...as if it was drained from it..."
She didn't liked the whole situation at all, something was wrong. Raf settled down next to her, making her look at him. He eyed the water aswell, pushing up his glasses in the process." I have to agree with you",he said eventually, before looking back behind him to Jack, who had putted a hand on his shoulder and kneeled down." We all do." Evee eyed her friends, before looking back at the water. 
She hoped dearly, this wasn't infecting the Autobots, such as the Decepticons (merely Shockwave, Soundwave, Knockout and Breakdown) in any way possible. Because something clearly wasn't right...

I realized I didn't brought up Wheeljack or Smokescreen this entire book so I decided to bring them up for the last Chapters. Since I only got back into writing this book, it might take some time until I am fully back into this for the last Chapters it will have. How long it will take finishing this book? I have no idea. But I hope it will be good and not so crappy...
