"Crazy idea, but what if we pretend to date on April fool's day?" Ricky suggested while he watched a movie with Nini. The brunette looked at her best friend and nodded her head. "Just be prepared for the fact that they will kill us when we reveal the truth."

The next day Ricky picked up Nini at her house. "How should we do this?" he asked. She started smiling "Well we have to hold hands and if you're comfortable with it you could kiss my forehead or something."

The curly haired boy nodded his head "Sounds good. What should we tell them when they ask how we started dating?" "Let's just say we both realized we had feelings for each other and started dating a week ago. Yesterday you asked me to be your girlfriends, that's why we haven't told them yet." Ricky started laughing "You really thought this true." The brunette flipped her hair "Thank you."

Shortly after they arrived at school. He looked at her and asked, "Are you ready?" Instead of answering she just got out of the car. As soon as he had gotten out too Nini grabbed his hand. "Let's go give our friends a heart attack."

They walked into the school and at first no one suspected anything. That was until they reached Nini's locker. "Hey Nini, Hey Ricky" Gina said while smiling. The two girls hugged "Hi Gi." One after one they all meet up at Nini's locker. After closing her locker, she looked at Ricky "I have class now, but I'll see you at Lunch babe." She got on her tip toes to kiss his cheek. Their group of friends stood there with their mouths wide open and no one said a word.

A few minutes passed when Carlos was the first to speak up "And you didn't care to mention that you two are dating now!" That caused Ricky to start laughing "We thought it would be nice to surprise y'all." Carlos glared at him and tried to get to Ricky, but before he could Seb grabbed his arm. "Honey, hurting him won't help us." He sighed in defeat "ok, fine. How long have you kept this a secret?"

The curly haired boy smiled "Well I asked her out a week ago, but I only asked her to be my girlfriend yesterday." Gina patted his shoulder "You finally figured out you like her. I'm proud." With that she and everyone else left him standing there.

„I wish I would have actually asked to be my girlfriend" he mumbled to himself.

That was the thing. He only suggested that so he could be her boyfriend for even just a few hours. You could say he helplessly in love with his best friend and no one could disagree.

A few hours later at Lunch everyone was chatting about different things when Nini finally joined them. "I'm so sorry guys, Mr. Mazarra wanted to talk about my assignment." She sat down on the only open seat, which happened to be next to Ricky. But it's not like she doesn't sit next to him every day. "I missed you" He said while kissing her temple. "Aww" was heard all around the table.

That caused her to blush. "Already embarrassed off me?" She glared at him and playfully smacked his chest "You know that's not the case and now shut up."

Kourtney started laughing "See I can't imagine Ricky acting like this with anyone, but with Nini. He is acting like he loves her every second of the day. Not just since today, this has been going on for a year at least. I'm glad he finally told you."

This took them off guard but Nini took it like a pro "Well Kourt, I love you, but let him say it when he's ready." That caused them all to nod their heads.

A few minutes silence followed before she spoke up "Could I speak to my boyfriend outside?" He quickly nodded his head before following her outside and into an empty classroom. They both sat down on a desk opposite of each other. "Is it true what Kourtney said?"

Ricky just looked at the ground. "Ricky, do you love me?" He still didn't answer her. He honestly had no idea what to say. As soon as Kourtney had said these words, he knew that there was no escaping it.

„Ricky answer me for god sack's!" He sighed in defeat "I do. I love you Neens. I tried everything to not fall for you, but you're just so perfect that I couldn't stop myself."

The curly haired boy was waiting patently for an answer, but that never came so he continued to speak. "That's why I suggested this. I wanted to be your boyfriend even if it was just for a few hours because I know you don't love me and that's ok." When he finished speaking, he looked up to see Nini glaring at him.

„Shut up, just shut up." She stood up, took one big step towards him, cupped his face and pressed her lips to his. When they broke apart, she spoke up "I love you too."

That caused his eyes to widen in shock "Yo-u do?" She nodded her head while smiling "I do, that's why I said yes to your idea." Instead of answering her he just kissed her again. "We should go back before anyone figures out what we were talking about" he said against her lips before pulling her out of the room. They walked back into the Cafeteria hand in hand. As soon as they sat back down, they were bombarded with questions.

„What did you guys talk about or did you even talk?" Gina said with a smirk on her face. "Gi, stop we just talked." Nini answered while hiding her face in Ricky's chest. He had an arm around her waist to hold her close.

"Ok, ok. Then what did you guys talk about?" Carlos asked. "It's none of your business" She just answered to his question. Kourtney started laughing "I don't know what he did to you, but it made you a bit moody." She glared at her best friend. "Nini, don't kill Kourtney. Ricky tell us what you two talked about." He kissed her forehead before starting to talk "Well since Kourtney said those things I told her that I loved her." "Aww" they all said.

"We also talked about the fact that y'all totally fell for it" Nini added while laughing.

Carlos's mouth was wide open "All of it was a lie." Ricky started laughing while shaking his head, which just cause everyone to look confused. "Please enlighten us Bowen."

"Well one thing I said was true and that was that I said I told her that I loved her. The rest was a complete lie." Big red shook his head "Not funny dude." The brunette started laughing like crazy person. "I think it's funny though."

Kourtney suddenly realized something "Wait, was what I said the reason you guys realized your true feelings for each other?" They both nodded their heads. The curly haired girl just looked proud.

I know it's not April fools das anymore, but I couldn't let this idea go to waste. I saw someone write a similar version to this, but I don't remember who, I do think this person reads my oneshots though. So if you know who credit to that person
