Ricky came running into the hospital, where Gina, EJ and Ashlyn were already waiting. "Where is she?" He looked worried. "Sit down" Gina told him and he did. "We don't know much yet, the only thing we know is that her parents are talking to the doctor." Ashlyn sat down next to Ricky trying to comfort him.

His mom came to visit and now he got the news that Nini was in a car crash. They all wanted to help him but didn't know how to. It was hard for all of them but none of them were as close to Nini as Ricky. They tried cheering each other up by doing the stuff they love, that didn't exactly work. A few minutes after they gave up with trying to cheer each other up, her parents came through the door towards the group of friends. "And?" Ricky asked.

Carol was the one who looked kind of put together, so she answered. "She is hurt very bad, she just went into emergency surgery." Now carol started crying as well, Ricky was still playing tuff. "I'll go get some fresh air" He quickly went out the door. As he got outside he took a deep breath and sat down on a bench. Then the tears started coming, Ricky couldn't hold it in anymore. The one girl he loves so much is injured so bad that she might die. After like an hour Gina came out to check on him. "Hey" She sat down next to him. "I know this is a lot for you, but you don't have to act tuff. You can cry in front of us." Ricky nodded "I know, it just felt better."

He stood up and the both of them walked back to where everyone else was. Another hour passed and then another, when suddenly it was light outside again. All of them had already fallen asleep except Ricky, he couldn't close one eye. The four kids were all excused from school that day. It was 8 am when a doctor came towards them. Ricky was the only one who was awake, so he woke up everyone else. Gina realized what was going on and took Ricky's hand. She whispered into his ear "He is just going to let us know that Nini is ok." He nodded but neither of them actually believed what she said.

It felt like an eternity until the doctor started talking. "I have to sadly inform you that Miss Salazar-Roberts didn't make it." No one said a word until they realized what the doctor had just told him, Nini is DEAD. They all broke out in tears, almost everyone. Ricky looked like he died as well when they told him. "Can I see her?" Is all he could say.

They all looked at him as if they had seen a ghost. The doctor nodded "If you really want to and her parents are ok with that." Carol nodded, she knew that you could not change his mind. So Ricky went to see her dead body, he couldn't not see her one last time. Ricky looked at the dead body and started crying, then he went out. To this day no one knows why he wanted to see her, but it helped him. Without it he wouldn't have been able to process this. They went home as soon as he got back, but not alone.

They all went to Ricky's house, who's parents were shocked when they heard what happened. Everyone else immediately came over and they tried to process what had happened together. Neither of them wanted to move on, after all their best friend died, but they all knew very well that had to move on somehow. The rest of the week they sticked together, they all stayed at each other's houses also because they didn't go to school.
