EJ is a famous basketball player and Gina is a famous model. They know each other from high school, but they never dated. EJ's team had just won an important competition and he was coming to Gina's apartment to celebrate. "Hey" Gina hugged him before he could even come in. "Congrats" She said after she let go.

He smiled and came in. "can we please not talk about anything related to basketball?" Gina nodded "Sure, but why?" He shrug his shoulders "I've been thinking about quitting so I'm not in the mood to talk about it." She nodded "No problem, let's do something fun then. I prepared something."

Gina went into the kitchen and came back with two bowls of ice cream. EJ smiled "You know me way to well." She smiled "We've been friends for years, so obviously I do." He suddenly looked on his phone, that wasn't the first time he did that Gina was confused but excepted it. "EJ, earth to EJ" She said while waving her hand in front of him.

He looked up "Sorry." This evening felt so awkward, both of them noticed but neither of them said anything about it. Another hour passed with both of them just looking at their phones, Gina did try to start a conversation but EJ was busy doing something she had no idea about. He was texting Ricky asking for advice about how to ask Gina out, that's why he was constantly checking his phone.

Gina finally had enough "You know what if you won't stop being on your phone you can go home, I like spending time with you but not like this." EJ suddenly looked up "Gina it isn't what you think it is, I'm sorry I'll put it away now." She smiled "Good." They were still silent until EJ asked "How is work going?" She shrug her shoulders "Good I guess, except that I had to work with my ex last week." She made a grossed out face and he started laughing. "He broke your heart and you can still laugh about it." Gina nodded "Yay, what does it bring me to be sad."

EJ smiled "He didn't deserve you anyways." Gina smiled, she knew EJ didn't mean it like she wanted to but it was still sweet. "Tell me something about your life" She said. EJ nodded "I've mostly been working, nothing to interesting." Suddenly Gina stood up and walked out of the room. "Gina!" EJ was very confused and asked himself if he did something wrong. A few minutes later she came back with a hoodie In her arms. "You forgot this here last time you were here." He smiled "You can keep it if you want. "

Gina smiled and put it on. EJ started laughing "I guess that means its yours now." She nodded when she decided to lean against him. He was surprised but liked it a lot. After laying there like that for a while EJ finally had the courage to tell Gina the truth "Gina can I tell you something?" She sat back up "Of course, you're my best friend."

He took a deep breath "Gina you're the only girl who has ever touched my heart. It will always be yours. I love you." EJ looked at his fingers and was nervously waiting for her reaction. "I—I" Is all Gina could say. "I'm sorry, I just couldn't hide my feelings anymore. I was on my phone because I was texting Ricky asking him for advice how to tell you." She shook her head "Don't be sorry, it's just that i didn't expect that you well felt the same."

He looked surprised "wait, you like me too:" Gina's cheeks turned bright red "Yay." He smiled "Well then I should be allowed to do this." He kissed her and then pulled her into a hug. "I love you" She said while laying down on his chest. Ej kissed her forehead "so do i."
