Nini and Ricky never dated in sophomore year and now it's junior year, Nini and EJ are a couple and Ricky is just Nini's best friend. Although Ricky has had a crush on her since Middle school.

One day Ricky was sitting in his room doing his homework, when Nini came running into his room crying. "Hey, what's wrong?" He stood up and hugged her. They sat down on his bed. She felt so comfortable in his arms. Nini cried for 10 straight minutes until she could pull herself together enough to tell Ricky what had happened and why she was crying. "Better?" He asked, when she let go of him.

She nodded "Thank you for that, your shirt is ruined now though." Ricky shrug his shoulders "Don't worry about it, I don't like this shirt anyways and you're my best friend. That you feel better is way more important to me." Nini smiled "Thank you." He smiled too "Now tell me what's wrong?" She took a deep breath "So EJ and I were meeting up and well he wanted to talk. We sat down on a bench and he started saying that it was great with me and that I'm a great girl. Then he broke up with me."

She started crying again. "Hey, look at me" Ricky said. Nini did what he wanted her to. "You're the most beautiful, talented and just most amazing girl I know. You don't have to cry over a boy, if they were stupid enough to not see that they should be crying." She smiled "I'm glad I have a best friend like you." He smiled "And I'm glad to have you too."

They just looked at each other in silence, until they suddenly moved closer to each other. Both of them moved their faces closer together. Then they kissed. As they pulled apart Nini looked shocked. "I-I" She jumped up and went a few steps away. "I can't" She ran out of the door.

It took Ricky a few seconds to notice what had happened. As soon as he did her ran after her "Nini wait." He caught up to her at the bottom of the stairs.

She looked away, but Ricky forced her to look at her. "I don't know why or how this happened and I'm sorry." Nini looked down again "It's not that, it's that I just split up with EJ and I'm not ready yet."

Ricky nodded "I understand that, I'll wait as long as I have to. You are worth it." Nini had a huge smile on her face and hugged him. "Thank you, I still have to go though."

He smiled "It's ok, see you tomorrow at school." Ricky went back into his room and fell onto his bed, thinking about what he did wrong.
