THIRD PERSON's POV

Nods and hums are the only current way for them to communicate. A simple glance and smile to reassure each other that they're okay, but in reality...is not.

Both of them don't have any idea about what exactly happened the other night. Jungkook doesn't know why Taehyung suddenly went blank that night after the call and vice versa. They're both curious to know what happened, but their mouths remained shut.

"Let's go?" Taehyung looked at the younger that's fixing his tie. Jungkook dusted his lover's top before offering a small, forced smile.

"Mhm." he hums, feeling the other's hand heading its way towards his palms and intertwined it together. Though felt empty and spaced out, the thing and gestures they do every single day didn't change. Haven't changed, to be exact.

Males headed their way to the car and started opening the engine, immediately driving away. Pretty unusual, no talks. Thinking about the things, they couldn't help but overthink. No one decided to break the ice in between, and it's not surprising seeing their minds fly away because of so many thoughts.

One of them cleared his throat. "Something's wrong with us."

Lucky that they're in the middle of the traffic. Add the fact that they drive away an hour early, traffic ain't a big deal anymore. The boy turned at him, unable to hold long eye contact.

"What happened after the phone call?" asked Jungkook, tilting his head. Taehyung just stared down at their hands clasped at his lap, hesitating.

Jungkook noticed the movements and the wobbling — not a Taehyung thing. He knew it's something serious, or probably, isn't good news.

The older bit his lip and held his right hand, fiddling his knuckles. The way he gulped often makes him tense.

Oh Lord God, what's going on? He whispered in his mind before tilting his head over Taehyung.

"Tae?" Jungkook called him, seeing him lifting his head and simpered before heaving a sigh.

"M-Mom says... he's coming back." no shade of kidding in his eyes, but full of worries and slight fear.

His brows met in fluster, shrugging his shoulders. "Who's coming back?"

Taehyung deflected away in frustration, stroking his hair quickly, and looked back. "He's coming back, baby. He's coming back."

Jungkook narrowed his eyes and lips curled, having no idea what he's talking about. He felt the grip in his hand tightened and him thinking deeply.

"Who's... who's coming back, love? Why do you look so scared?" the younger sought an answer, stroking the boy's palms to calm him down.

Taehyung went closer and pulled him in his arms so tightly, closing his eyes shut. Jungkook was left frozen on his seat, surprised by the sudden movement. Soon, he patted his back repeatedly.

"Listen, Mom told me he's coming back. I-I'm scared for us."

"Who's coming back?" Jungkook sternly asked again and felt Taehyung breaking the hug, and stared at his pupils.
