PROLOGUE: THE KIDDIE PARTY
"You'll go to the party?"
The blue-haired male asked Jungkook, playing on his phone, looking wrecked because of his hair standing in every direction and his loose shirt having stains of dirt.
"Should I go? I don't even know who's the celebrant," Jungkook answered while laughing, eyes still fixed on his phone.
Namjoon looked at him in disbelief, sighing as he grabs everything he bought at the mall.
"Why did you purchase a pair of baby shoes?"
Namjoon chuckled as an answer before shaking his head. He stood up, putting all of it on the floor beside his computer.
"You'll not go? I'll tell Jin and Yoongi not to buy you banana milk anymore."
The younger immediately dropped his device on the table before looking at his friend with a pout. The older knows how to make Jungkook follow him.
"Fine! It's a kids' party! How can I even enjoy myself there?" Jungkook asked annoyingly before throwing himself into the king-sized bed that Jimin and he share at the dorm.
"I'll go to Jin's room now. I'll just call Jimin at the dance room." Namjoon uttered, clearly avoiding himself to scold the little boy from being silly again.
He didn't answer. Jungkook just rolled his eyes when he heard Namjoon close the door of their shared dorm. He immediately faced the ceiling before sighing. Rubbing his eyes then hugged the pillow beside him.

"Jungkookie, you're going to wear that sweater again? I brought you a new one last night, didn't I?" said Jin while fixing all the gifts they will bring to the birthday party.
Jungkook just continued to fix his sweater before ruffling his hair as well.
"I like this sweater. And besides, it's a kiddie party, no need to wear fancy clothes," he answered shortly before going out to the dorm, leaving a sighing Jin.
Jimin quickly waved his hand when he saw Jungkook walking toward the car seriously. He always does that, nothing special. He doesn't like going outside that much because it genuinely makes him uncomfortable. Public, stares, everything. He doesn't like unfamiliar people around him.
Jungkook went inside the car without saying a word. All he did was play games and watch random videos on every possible website he could view while he waits for them.
When they were already inside the car, Jin immediately drove the car to the venue.
The destination is not that quite far starting at their place. It took like 5 to 10 minutes to go there.
Jungkook let out a deep breath before opening the car's door. He saw a lot of kids from far away. They still need to cross the road before they reach the place.
"Hoseok, the gifts. Yoongi, help him." Namjoon ordered them. The two nodded casually and gripped all the stuff they got.
Namjoon likes kids a lot. I mean, a lot. Even if it's not the birthday celebrant, he will still give the kids all the gifts. He has wanted to become a father for a long time now.
Jimin went in front to guide the members to the venue since it was a very big one. The kids and the other parents there looked at them while they walked as if they were on a red carpet.
"Hello, Mr. Lim. Happy birthday, Vannessa." Jin and the other men greeted the father of the child before greeting her a happy birthday.
Jungkook was at the very back of them, looking bored and sleepy already. He looked behind out of nowhere and saw a group of people casually murmuring with their eyes darted in his direction.
Maybe it was a normal instinct for him to have his nails in between his teeth as soon as something bothers him. Nails were sandwiched by his pearl, white teeth, and could barely breathe.
His eyes darted everywhere but himself while he tried seeking something by looking at his friends who were too busy to acknowledge him. Beads of sweat started to dribble slowly against his warm skin as thoughts gushed all over his mind like a waterfall. He heaves, yet the shortness of his breath only got worse as he tried attempting to keep himself composed—only resulting in his legs wobbling.
Closing his eyes didn't help either way. It only made everything tough to handle now that there were people around him.
"Oh God, not right now." His voice rang around his ears.
The rest were busy having business with some men they've known for a long time. The uneasy feeling crawling all over his body made him panic even more. Leaving with no choice, his hand has decided to tap the closest person he could reach, Yoongi. He almost swallowed his words due to this overwhelming feeling that will soon take over his fear and panic, but successfully managed to excuse himself to go to the washroom.
"Okay. The washroom is over there. Just go right then straight ahead and you'll see it," Yoongi instructed. And with a rather forced smile, he immediately made his way there.
Jungkook just let out a deep sigh before looking at the mirror. He saw his tears almost coming out of his eyes.
He washed his face with the water up until on his hair. His eyes could see his hands trembling, and he once again found himself biting his lips to reduce the pressure he was having.
He started to breathe heavier and worse, his heart started beating faster.
"Are you okay?"
Jungkook's head turned to his left and saw a tall, sun-kissed skin and a handsome man standing on one of the cubicles buckling his pants while looking at him that he guessed was around his age, too.
He didn't answer. He just blinked at the man while he continued to stare at him all over. From his chubby cheeks and his exposed forehead, he looked like a fictional character living in the real world.
It feels like someone shut his mouth because of such a beautiful man he saw.
The young man smirked at him before pleasingly fixing his tie that was wrapped around his suit's collar. Jungkook gulped at the sudden action and went wilder when he saw him moving closer and closer in his direction.
He hissed when he felt the wall on his back, but the young man didn't stop his way to him.
An unexpected trip made Jungkook release a weird face, causing him to flinch on his spot and realizes that he was not even an inch close to that man.
"Hey, are you okay?"
There, Jungkook came back to reality and saw him brushing his hair on the way back in front of the mirror.
"I...uh... I'm fine!" he answered before smiling awkwardly.
Jungkook started to feel uncomfortable again as he saw the young man looking at his reflection in the mirror, throwing sharp stares from his head to toe.
He was about to leave when he felt his hands wrapping around his tiny feminine waist, breaths giving him chills from his back that instantly made his eyes shut.
And with a butterfly-filled whisper that man gave, he lost it.
"You look pretty interesting, love."
