THIRD PERSON's POV

Love and timing, how hard are for that to be right?

After all, that happened, it seems like they were torn apart. The brunette stuck inside the deafening silence, darting his dark eyes at a certain place. Nothing's coming out of his mouth. Just him holding his tears and lips trembling.

Taehyung, who's staring at his lover, remained silent. He just wanted to hug him here and there, tell him how much he loves him, how much he cares for him. He wants to cuddle with him, forever if the world will allow him. This situation is not only affecting him, it's destroying him.

Does life work that way? Or maybe it's the people who do it?

"I met you in the dark, you lit me up."

Says the lyrics of the music gently, but stabbed Jungkook's heart in every word it utter.

"You made me feel as though, I was enough."

He wanted to laugh at his self. Why am I overreacting? He thought. It's so hard to deal with it, he's so anxious about her he feels like he's hurting his baby—his Taehyung. No matter how he looks at it, it kept on showing that he's doubting his love. No matter the promises he gives, losing him is still lingering around his head.

"We danced the night away, we drunk too much."

What's the problem, why did she appeared again? Those words she said with the last glance she took is scaring his whole heart and soul. Jungkook knew himself that she's not the type of person who doesn't get what she wants. She's obsessed, obsessed that she's ready to kill a person just to get what she wanted. She loved him, yes—but is Taehyung's answer, not enough for her to convince that he never loved her back?

"I held your hair back when you were throwing up."

Taehyung understands what his baby meant, so much. He can't blame him for feeling this doubt and fear, though he already told him that he'll protect him from her, even from his dad. He wouldn't let a single person lay a finger on him. That part is crushing his heart to pieces. It feels so wrong to think about it, but he's doubting his self too. What if I break my promise? What if he'll end up losing himself because of me?

"Then you smile over your shoulder, for a minute I was stone-cold sober. I put you closer to my chest."

They didn't have any idea that both of them are rethinking every single thing, decisions. They shouldn't be scared of her, nor fear her, but they couldn't help it. There might be a low chance for it to happen, but still, it can happen. Crap, if Taehyung can only leave the company with Jungkook without a word, he would've done that right now. But what's the point of escaping if the one who's catching them already locked them? As if she cast a spell, she's giving them a hard time.

"And you asked me to stay over, I said I already told you. I think that you should get some rest."

Oh my Divine, Jungkook's slowly losing it. Tears now started falling from his rosy cheeks. He buried his head from the pillow, leaning close to the headboard, and cried his eyes out. Taehyung looked at him from the balcony, wanting to pull him over his chest and just hug him tight.

It's a cold night to start with. Freezing and cool air practically hitting Taehyung's skin as he helplessly watches Jungkook. He's tired, he's so tired.

"I knew I loved you then, but you'd never know. 'Cause I played it cool when I'm scared of letting go."

Jungkook shouted his lungs out, punching the soft mattress repeatedly with all his force in it. He screamed and screamed until he broke his voice. His dry throat couldn't give anything anymore, just painful noises and sobs were slipping out his mouth. He snuggled at the pillow, gripping it tightly as his life depended on it.
