THIRD PERSON's POV

"Is something wrong, Mr. Jeon?"

The said boy turned his head over Taehee, who's checking on him with a glimpse of confusion and worries in her eyes. The realization filled his mind when he found himself that he's in a meeting with the CEOs around the state and was discussing the shareholders and stuff. The female is standing ahead of them with a remote placed in her hand.

Jungkook shook his head and thoughts off, clearing his throat as he clasped his palms together firmly.

"My apologies, Ms. Kim. You may continue," he says and focused his pupils on the presentation she's showing to everyone.

She continued her discussion until someone barged inside the room which interrupted the gathering. All the eyes shoot right at the door, as their eyes saw what they've been waiting for roughly fifteen minutes ago.

"Mr. Kim, I see that you're a bit late." said one of the older males across the room. Taehyung's stares wandered around and caught Jungkook, who immediately looked away and settled himself at his seat.

Daggers shot against his chest and felt a sharp, unbearable pain. That gesture was painful to receive. Add to that is his appearance, he grew thinner. It's been just 2 days since the fight happened, and he looked genuinely frustrated.

"I.. apologize, Mr. Hwang. I had to answer an urgent call earlier," he explained, manning up and took his seat — and was fortunately placed beside Jungkook's.

Despite the urge of sitting beside him, he knew it's not a good idea to do. The boy isn't talking and ignoring him for a little while now. Well, for him though. He knows his lover will be uncomfortable and will be out of focus once he takes that seat, so he decided to take a seat beside one of the most famous CEO — Kim Jenhae. They've been in a good deed since the start of their collaboration before. He took a seat and noticed her husband sitting just inches at her side.

"Kim Jenhae and Kim Jison, nice to see you here." he greeted and bowed, earning a laugh from the couple.

Jison threw him a light punch in the shoulder, which made Jenhae cackle.

"C'mon, man. No need to be formal, Son is good." the man said, as his wife leaned closer to him.

"Yep and Jenhae is cool," she said, causing Taehyung to chortle lightly.

"Y'all are crazy, of course, we need to be formal. We're in a meeting for Pete's sake," said Taehyung casually, and laughed it off before turning back their attention at the meeting.

On the other hand, Jungkook is secretly stealing glances at his man. He felt lonely seeing an empty seat beside him. He felt bad not talking to him, finding out that Taehyung isn't talking to him either. Even a single text doesn't work, nor a call. For a record, they still call each other, but it's all about the company. He's still mentally cursing himself for telling him sensitive, he wished he could turn back to time and didn't utter that. Jungkook's still in ache as well. He could not forget hearing him protect that woman who doesn't do anything but create bullshits. Kind of surprising that she ain't going here anymore. Maybe she's planning something, he thought. Maybe? Or maybe not?

His eyes darted beside him, spotting another male CEO who's narrowing his eyes towards him while wiggling his brows. Giggles left his mouth and lifted his middle finger surreptitiously.

"Park Bogum, fuck you." he mouthed. Bogum almost burst out laughing and rolled his eyes, as he started making faces. Regardless of the seriousness inside the room, both friends still made the tension much lighter.

Taehyung wasn't that happy witnessing the two at his peripheral vision. His mood changed instantly and started clenching his jaw in enviousness, trying to contain himself from throwing a glass of water over the said CEO flirting with his lover. What makes him more irked is that Jungkook is continuously flinging back at him. Right ahead of him. What is he, a ghost?
