ROSS POV
"Come on lar. Hurry up so we can meet your dad"I yell through her closed door. She walks out wearing ripped skinny jeans and a hello kitty tank top. On her head she has a blue and pink SnapBack
"Woah lar you look. Woah"she looks down and blushes
"Thanks oh come in"she opens the door more so I can walk in. I grab Rachel out of her crib and rock her
"Ross, I know you had plans to go to the store today but thank you for doing this"she gives me a side hug
"While we're on that subject, last night I was thinking about how we have different rooms so I was wondering if maybe we should move out"I hesitate a little. She pulls off the hug
"Wow. Um well I'm going to have to think about that. So for now let's just get going"she takes rachel and we walk downstairs and into the car.
RIKER POV
"So it's Thursday morning. What do you wanna do today?"vanessa asks me while we're still in bed
"Honey, I have work"she sighs and I get up and start getting ready. She stays laying in bed
"I don't wanna get up"she complains
"Oh come on sweety. It'll be ok"I kneel next to the bed and rub her arm
"No I don't feel good at all"she rolls over and I stand up
"What's wrong?"I ask while fixing my tie
"My head and stomach hurts"she groans
"Ok I'll take Nicole to school. I have to go to work but call me if anything happens ok?"I kiss her cheek then walk out. I close the door then Nicole runs up to me
"Hey princess"I pick her up
"Where's mommy?"she asks as I carry her downstairs
"She isn't a feeling well so she's going to stay home from work today. Are you ready for school?"I put her down and she runs off. She comes back with her jacket and backpack on
"Aww don't forget your hat"I put a hat on her head then we walk out of the house and I drive her to school
LAURA POV
"We're here"ross says as he stops the car. We both get out and walk towards the house. I knock on the door and my dad answers
"Dad, we're here to talk to you"he rolls his eyes and let's us in. I sit down at the table and ross sits next to me. Rachel sits on the other side of me. Dad sits across from us
"I'm so sorry dad for missing family time. If I could go back I would"I start out the conversation smoothly but then my dad speaks
"All I have to say is that I am disappointed in you. You chose 'love' over family. Ross has broken your heart countless times but your still with him. Why?"he babbles on. Ross grabs my hand under the table tighter
"I love him daddy. How can you say that he broke my heart you don't even know him"I scoot closer to ross to indicate what I mean. My dad gets up and starts looking around for something. When he finds it he sits back down and hands it to me
"Do you remember this?"he asks and I start crying a little
"Yeah. This was the day that vanessa told me to never grow up"I look up at my dad
"Now one night while you ran away, vanessa came over with riker for Friday fish fry. She found this picture and started crying. She told us that she missed you"I cry a little while I rub my face in the picture
"I really had no idea. I am so so sorry. Daddy you have to understand that I love ross. And rachel. But you guys will always be my family"I grab Rachel out of her seat
"It doesn't matter. Everything is different now. Maybe if you brought ross over once in while instead of run away we would have got to know him and maybe liked him"dad says and I look at ross
"What am I supposed to do?"I look back at my dad
"Leave"he scolds
"What?"I start crying again
"I'm not your father anymore you even said so so why don't you just leave?"he yells
"Ok look dad I said that because I was mad. Love will come and go but family is forever so please give me another chance"he stands up. I also stand up
"All I want is for my daddy to hug me and tell me he still loves me"I stare at him still crying. Ross is holding rachel and watching. My dad walks closer to me. Then he keeps walking. I start crying my eyes out
"This is insane"I sob and ross stands up
"Laura it's going to be ok look you still have us?"he tries to cheer me up but nothing works
"Yeah um I think I'm going to walk home. I'll meet you there"I wipe my tears. He gives me a hug then walks out. I look around at everything and remember all the great memories. I walk out and go in the barn. Instantly I see dusty and Yankee in their original spots. I walk over to them and start petting them
"You wanna go riding?"I ask out loud. I grab a rope, a saddle, and a hat. I take off my SnapBack and put on my cowboy hat. I drop the SnapBack then open Yankees cell. I put the saddle on her back. I open up all the other horses cells and tie all of them up onto one long rope. I jump on dusty and start riding. First I drop off all the horses in the fence outside. Once they are inside, I take off. I ride Yankee faster than I ever have. All the pain, heartbreaks, and drama that I've gone through over the passed 4 years is finally getting lifted off my shoulders. I ride passed the original spot where vanessa and I would stop. Vanessa never let me go passed this part but I am. I ride through all the trees. Once we get through all the trees I get to an open field. I stop Yankee and look out into the open field. I take a long deep breath and close my eyes
"You know Yankee, I really missed you. I haven't seen you in 4 years and now we ride so fast. I'm sorry Yankee"I get off Yankee and pat her nose while taking in the beautiful scenery. I walk out a little. Then I scream. I scream all my pain out
"SCREW EVERYTHING!!!!"I scream. Then I walk back by Yankee
"You know a part of me really thought that vanessa was going to show up here riding dusty you know. And we would talk about anything. School, chores, friends, anything"I smile just thinking about it. Yankee then let's out a little neigh
"You think we should go? Ross and Rachel are probably worried and I don't think I have my phone. Besides I wish I was wearing something a little more comfier I mean why do girls in the city were clothes that are uncomfortable?"I ask out loud and Yankee turns her head towards me
"Your right. I guess I am a city girl now. Wow I never thought this would happen"I pet Yankee then jump on her back
"All right let's ride"I pull on the rope and take off. We ride back to the other horses. I rope them up and lead them back into their barn cells. Yankee is the last one to go in her cell
"Goodbye Yankee"I give her one last pat then walk out of the barn. I walk down the hill and all the way back home. I walk in and see everyone in the living room. Ross walks up to me and gives me a hug
"Hey baby are you ok?"he asks and I nod
"What's up with your hat?"rydel asks. I look up and see that I'm still wearing the cowboy hat. I take it off and look at everyone
"Oh some kid gave it to me"I lie while playing with the edge of the hat in my fingers
"Ok do you wanna watch the rest of the movie with us?"ross offers and I hesitate before nodding. He leads me to the couch and we sit next to eachother. Rydel hands me rachel. I hold her close in my arms and ross wraps his arm around both of us
"Well laura this is Chelsea"Rocky says pointing to her
"Oh and this is phoebe"ryland snuggles up to her. I smile
"Nice to meet you guys"I nicely say
"Are you ok laura you seem kindof out of it"stormie asks snuggled up to mark
"Um yeah I just had a lot to think about on my walk"I look down at Rachel and she starts to cry
"Oh I'm going to be right back"I get up and walk into my room to feed rachel. Then ross comes in
"Hey"he quietly closes the door
"Are you ok?"he whisper asks
"Yeah I'm fine why does everyone keep asking me that?"I ask frustrated
"It's just that you seen out of it"he says. I put rachel down in her crib then drag ross out of my room and into his
"I am not mad I am just frustrated! When I told you that I wanted to walk home, I went into the barn and rode Yankee all the way up the hill. I went further than I usually did and I found this amazing place. I screamed my heart out and I got all my feelings out. It felt amazing but now I'm back here"I run my hands through my hair
"Laura it's going to be ok. I love you are you saying you don't like it here?"he asks all worried
"No I love you but you know sometimes I wish that time could just stop you know just for a little while. I mean I went out to that field and it actually felt like it stopped. Plus my parents are selling their house. Omg I have an idea!"I run downstairs and ross follows me
"Guys, guys! My parents house is for sale!"I scream
"W-what? Laura calm-"I cut ross off and everyone stands up
"Wait why should I calm down? You were the one that suggested moving out"I blurt out
"Your moving out?"stormie almost cries
"No!"ross imediatly blurts out
"We're not buying my parents house?"I ask
"One lady at a time please!"ross then yells out
