ROSS POV
"All right, we only had one little talk about moving. I wanted to be with laura and rachel all the time and be on our own"I look at laura and she smiles at me
"Aw ross that is so sweet"rydel blushes and laura side hugs me
"Well you put it like that I think you should move"mom then says
"Really?"I ask unsure
"Yeah you guys seem to really be in love and laura was totally out riding. We could all tell"mom says and laura hides her face in my chest
"Well I have to get going"ratliff stands up and leaves
"Laura and I are going upstairs"I announce then laura, rachel and I walk upstairs to my room
"You know if we move out, my parents room is big enough for a king size bed"she smirks and lays rachel down on the bed
"Really? Your parents place?"I ask. Rachel starts crying so I grab a diaper and change her
"Yeah ross, it's beautiful there. Plus it feels really good just getting to ride again. What the point of living in Wyoming if you don't get to see it all?"she explains
"How about we just look for a different house that has a view?"I suggest and she sighs
"No ross you don't get it. That house has Yankee and dusty and the hill where we meet. I mean we can have picnics on the hill and I can show you the field that I went to"she gets all excited
"Woah ok lar were not 7. But I do understand"I walk over to laura and put my hands on her waist. She wraps her arms around my neck
"What if rachel had a little brother or sister? They could become best friends and you could build them a treehouse to play in"she smiles at her imagination. I tighten my grip on her waist and pull her closer. I was about to kiss her but then rachel started crying. Laura pulls away and grabs rachel
"Can we at least look?"she whines
"Lar we don't have any money"i explain
"What if I get a job?"she suggests
"You literally just had a baby like 2 months ago. How about I talk to riker?"she then nods and I lean in and give her a kiss. Then I grab my jacket and leave
LAURA POV
I stand and rock rachel back to sleep. Then rydel walks in looking all nervous
"You ok del?"I ask all worried. She plays with her hands and looks around all nervous
"I have to tell you something?"she is all shaky
"What's up?"I am really worried now
"Ok so ratliff and I have sort of been dating"she blurts out and my eyes go wide
"You and ratliff?!?!"I shout then she instantly shushes me and rachel wakes up. I rock her back to sleep
"You can't tell anyone especially riker"I nod and she sighs of relief
"Thank you. I had to tell someone. You know I love being a sister and an aunt"awww delly loves me
"Aww I love you to del"we smile
"You know you and ross should have a boy"I blush as she says that
"Where is ross anyway?"she looks around
"Oh he went to go talk to riker. Since my parents house is for sale, he's going to figure out a way to get enough money"I explain then she nods
ROSS POV
"Hey guys"I walk into their house and smell bacon. I walk into their kitchen and Nicole runs down the stairs
"Uncle rossy!"she runs to me and hugs my leg
"Hey Nicole where are your mommy and daddy?"I kneel down to her height
"Mommy is sick and daddy is still at work"she says in her little cute voice. Just then riker comes in
"Oh hey ross"I stand up
"Hey riker I actually need to talk to you"he nods and walks in. Nicole runs up to him and he lifts her up
"Well I'm actually only here for lunch. Why aren't you at work?"he asks
"I really don't know why does dad want me there?"I ask totally forgetting about work
"I really don't know"we both sit down and start eating lunch
"What if I go tomarrow?"he nods and bites his sandwich
"All right anyway what's up with you?"he asks
"Oh well laura and I were talking about moving into our own place"I say and he looks at me all happy. Then vanessa walks down in a robe and messy bun looking sick as ever
"Baby go back to bed"riker gets up and comforts her
"No I'm hungry"she whines
"Ok go back to bed and I will bring you some soup"he pushes her back upstairs then starts making soup
"So anyway you should go back to work so you can start saving up for a house"he says with his back facing me
"Ok yeah I think I will. Ok well I have to go"I get up and walk out. I drive to the store. At the store I walk into a little shop right next to Khols. So first I walk into Khols and try to find a dress for laura. I find a pink and black dress. I pay for it then walk into the other store
"Hello how may I help you?"the man working there asks me as I walk in
"Yeah I'm looking for an engagement ring"I say with confidence
RIKER POV
"Hey baby I brought your soup"I set it down next to her on the nightstand
"Stay with me"she opens her arms and her voice is all scratchy
"I'm so sorry baby but I have to go to work. Nicole is here though"I sit at the edge of the bed and rub her arm
"No I don't want to get her sick"she coughs up
"Well I have to go. I'll be home later. I promise"I give her a small kiss then leave the room
"Daddy do you have to go back to work?nicole asks
"Yeah I do I am just here on my lunch but hey next year you get a full day at school"I try to make it sound exciting
"For now you be good until I get back. Mommy is still here but try not to wake her up"I kiss her forehead then walk out the door and drive to work
"Hey del did I miss anything?"I as as I walk into the building
"Well mrs marano called after you left but she will call later and your 3 o'clock meeting has been pushed back to 11 on Monday next week"once she's done talking, I nod then walk to my office. All of a sudden, I start coughing and I can't stop. Before getting to my office, I grab a water bottle and drink it walking back into my office
ROSS POV
I get back home about an hour later and I see laura sitting on the couch in sweats and a messy bun
"Honey I'm home"I yell and she stands up and we hug
"What's in the bag?"she asks trying to look but I pull them away
"It's a suprise for later"I walk away
"Well when's later?"she asks and I can tell she's irritated
"You will see. Now I'm going to go put these bags away and check on rachel"I walk upstairs and hide the bags under my bed. I go into lauras room and check on rachel. Then she starts crying. I pick her up and I carry her downstairs
"Hey ross guess what?"laura walks into the kitchen
"Ummmm"I take a long time to think about it
"I got a job!"she jumps up and down all excited
"Wow that's great!"I give her a hug then rachel squirms in my arms forcing me to pull off of the hug
"I'll get it"she grabs Rachel and starts feeding her. Then we both sit on the couch
"This is nice"she says after a whole
"Yeah it really is"I wrap my arm around her and she leans on my shoulder
RYLAND POV
In my office I am signing papers when my phone rings. I press the page button
"Ryland here"I say while still signing papers
"You have a visitor here to pick you up"rydel says through the phone
"Ok send her in"I press the button and it clicks. About 2 minutes later phoebe walks in
