Harry's POV:
Rose and I walked down a flight of stairs that was behind the door slowly. Halfway down, we both winced. Our scars were burning for some reason and then I noticed. Not Professor Snape but Professor Quirrell standing before the Mirror of Erised. I was quite startled at the sight and Rose was as confused as I was.
" You? No. I-it can't be. Snape, h-he was the one..."
"Yes. He does seem the type, doesn't he? Next to him, who would suspect p-p-p-poor st-stuttering Professor Quirrell?" the man before us turned to us and said.
"But sir, that day....during Harry's first Quidditch match, Snape tried to kill him.." Rose claimed.
"Oh, no dear girl... I tried to kill your brother. And trust me, if Snape's cloak hadn't caught fire and broken my eye contact, I would have succeeded, even with Snape muttering his little countercurse."
"But why only Harry?"
"Oh. You don't think I had something planned for you? Trust me, I did...and it would've been marvelous if that little Malfoy kid hadn't used an enchantment to seal you away and out of my line of sight."
Rose gasped, "So...Malfoy was trying to save me..."
"Yes...Rose...and a good thing for you that he did....since I knew you both were a danger to me right from the off. Especially after Halloween."
"Then-then you let the troll in." I said in disbelief.
"Very good, Potter, yes. Snape, unfortunately, wasn't fooled. While everyone else was running about the dungeon, he went to the third floor to head me off. He, of course, never trusted me again. He rarely left me alone. But he doesn't understand. I'm never alone, never."
Rose gulped, taking in how crazy this guy sounded.
"Now, what does this mirror do? I see what I desire. I see myself holding the stone. But how do I get it?"
'Use...the.....boy......' An unusual inhuman voice came out of the room.
Quirrell suddenly turned to face me. He came over and pulled me down to the mirror. " Tell me... what do you see?"
I looked into the mirror, and for a few seconds, I just saw myself standing next to Quirrell. Then my reflection reached into my pocket and pulled out a gleaming red ruby, the Philosopher's Stone; I was in shocked as my reflection smiled and winked, then he put the stone back in its pocket. I felt my own pocket to discover the stone was truly there.
"What is it? What do you see?"
" I-I'm shaking hands with Dumbledore. I've won the House Cup."
The inhuman voice spoke again; 'He lies...If he won't tell us.....take his sister's necklace instead....It could also be of good use...'
"Tell the truth boy!! Or your dear sister will never be an Animagus again!!"
I looked at my sister in horror and wondered how the man knew what she was.
'Let me speak to him, Quirinus...' the voice spoke again.
"Master, you aren't strong enough...."
I turned towards the stairs to reunite with my sister. I stayed close to her as Quirrell spoke to the voice.
'I am....strong enough...for thiss....'
Professor Quirrell unwrapped his turban to reveal another face, yet it was pale-chalk faced, and had red eyes.
'Harry....and Rose...Potter......we.....meet...again...' the face spoke.
Then me and my sister both said it; "Voldemort."
' Yes. You see what I've become? See what I must do to survive? Live off another, a mere parasite. Unicorn blood can sustain me, but it cannot give me a body of my own. But there is something that can, something that, conveniently enough, lies in your pocket.'
I grabbed Rose's hand and tried to guide her up the stairs.
'Stop them!!' The professor snapped his fingers and made a deadly fire appear on all exits of the room. 'Don't be a fool! Why suffer a horrific death when you can join me and live?!'
"Never! We'll never join you!" Rose shouted at him.
'Haha. Bravery. Your parents had it too. Tell me, Harry, would you like to see your mother and father again? Together, we can bring them back.' In the mirror, our parents appeared in the reflection. It was an odd feeling to finally see our parent's faces together. But we knew we couldn't get ourselves fooled by Voldemort. 'All I ask for is something in return.'
I began to take the stone out of my pocket. My sister looked at me in fear as I revealed it to her and Voldemort.
'That's it, Harry. There is no good and evil. There is only power, and those too weak to seek it. Together, we'll do extraordinary things. Just give me the stone!'
"You see, that's the thing....there is such thing as having a lot of power....but...those who overuse it might completely see past the point of having it....so.....no. I won't give you the stone. Nor will I let you take my sister's necklace. So either leave us alone or kill us and take them both. Your choice."
'Kill them! Now Quirinus!' Voldemort spoke sharply.
Professor Quirrell made his way over to Rose first. He raised his hand and grabbed her neck. He began to try to choke her but his hand began to melt.
"Ahh! Ahh!" Quirrell cried out in pain from the injury, "What is this magic?"
'No time to talk fool! Just get the stone!' , Voldemort ordered.
Then, Quirrell walked towards me instead, giving me the opportunity to touch his face with my hands, causing him to scream in pain once more, and now, Voldemort to wince as well. I was horrified as Quirrell backs up with his face horrendously burned. He crumbled to the ground as he walked forward, turning his body completely in ash and dust, leaving only his empty clothing.
However, from behind, dust clouds form from Quirrell's corpse, causing me and Rose to turn around. A dust cloud with Voldemort's face rushes forward screaming at the two of us and knocked us to the ground.
Me and Rose each fell on a separate step on the stairs before falling unconscious. The last thing I remember seeing, was my sister beside me one step down, and the stone resting in her hand....
