               sometimes, jeno would find himself staring at the sky. under the blanket of obsidian night sky and the glinting ball of gases he'll find himself telling stories. whisper dreams and wishes in the wind for the future that is yet to come.

sometimes, jeno would find himself in the rooftop, bathing in the moonlight while talking to the stars.

sometimes, jeno would find himself talking to eunkyul and as if she's right there beside him, the midnight breeze would then lowly howl and kiss his skin.

but today is a little different, instead of the rooftop that he frequently find himself in, he's sprawled in the field of grass with that familiar tombstone beside him.

the sun begins to slip beyond the horizon and the daylight began to slowly fade. hues of orange and red painted the sky as the late afternoon breeze whistled their whispers on jeno's ear.

he find it a little odd, talking to eunkyul despite the stars being absent on the sky. yet he couldn't find himself either to visit the cementary late at night.

jeno doesn't know if what eunkyul told him about the stars being always with the moon is true. but every night, when he needs to talk to her, the star would glisten above, as if they are waiting for him.

he smile to himself, fingers playing with the silver ring that held the memories of their last moment together as he lean on the tombstone. mind wandering to the memories they once had.

"I miss you kyul." he whispered, his deep voice dripping with sincerity. its been seven years since eunkyul bid her goodbye and for seven years jeno held (and will always be) the memories he created with eunkyul.

jeno tend to love too much, that is a fact that even he, himself is perfectly aware of. he tend to love too much. and at the end of the day question himself if that love is enough to make the people he treasure stay.

and then eunkyul came into the picture. the short while he spent with eunkyul was enough to gave him a deeper understanding on what it really meant to love someone.

and that love brought him to the woman he now held close to his heart.

"pitong taon na din kyul no? how are things up there?" he asked despite knowing damn well no one will be responding. "things are going great for us in here, may bagong project kami ng tropa." then he started retelling the stories he know eunkyul would be delighted to hear about.

he told her about work, told her about jaemin and erisa, told her about the meeting and what happen to renjun and jia, told her how jinri got married again and how felix proposed to haeun and how izumi would probably follow anytime soon (its just their hunch, wala pang kasiguraduhan kung mag ppropose si sunwoo.)

exhaling a soft sigh through his cherry lips, jeno found himself staring at the silver ring he's holding. parang kailan lang sila ni eunkyul and kinasal. ngayon, kalahati na sa kanila ang nagpplano.

that make him think too. limang taon na din sila ni jaena, both their careers are going well, he had enough savings too. maybe its time?

"kyul, mag propose na din kaya ako kay jaena?" and as if eunkyul was listening to him, a strong breeze that was enough to tousle his hair make him jolt lightly. he blinked, before soft chuckles escape his lips upon the realization.

hindi niya alam kung matatakot o mamamangha na parang pinapakinggan talaga siya ni eunkyul.

"was that a yes?" he chuckled only to receive the soft steady howling of the wind. he stare back at the sky, both his heart and mind in peace.

"kyul, you'll always be one of the greatest blessing I received in this lifetime. thank you for making me realize a lot of things" he hummed, "and the time I spent with you will always be with me. I know this is asking for too much, nagpapahinga ka na dapat eh but kyul, continue looking after us, yeah? the whole gang I mean,,," he sighed, "I miss you kyul." he whispered once more.

when the daylight finally fade and was replaced by the first few stars of the night, jeno find himself in peace. the contentment and the happiness he felt was indescribable. god, he just feel so blessed.

in life, people tend to come and go. some stay and join you in your journey while others leave, and few of those people tend to leave some of their footprints behind.

to jeno, one of those people happens to be eunkyul.

at some point he thought that maybe, that was it. he thought that it was eunkyul, the woman he would spend the rest of his life with. the love and bliss he felt with jeana got him praying — hoping and wishing for it to last longer, and if he could be a little selfish — he wish it would last forever

but at the end of the day. just like how it was set in stone, eunkyul had to leave. she become one of the people in jeno's life who decided to leave a little footprint behind. she became a lesson — the last missing puzzle piece that would complete the man jeno had become today.

he keep looking for someone, reaching high and lows to find that someone God had set for him. even meeting one of his greatest lesson and blessing in the process only to find out that 'the one' had been beside him all along.

but things do really happens for a reason. he thought that if he ended up falling for jaena earlier, then he could have ended up hurting her one way or another.

but now, he could only look at the past and thank God for everything that happened to him. cause without it, he wouldn't be able to find himself home in the arms of the woman he loves.
