Dinner Date

I ran into the entrance of the restaurant, a Italian restaurant, and told them I had reservations. I don't know why I did because everyone knew me, the all powerful 21 year old kid who was the savior of mankind, so I got seats and stuff without needing reservations. I just finished telling them before Ashley came in.
My jaw about hit the floor. She was in cowgirl boots and a black knee cut dress. Her blond hair flowed down behind her neck and she had done her makeup, even though she never needed to.
She walked over and asked if I got the reservation right. "Oh uh yeah." I said. I was still kinda in awe.
She must've noticed me being a complete fool because she started laughing. "You like the dress?" She said and did a little spin.
"Yes mam." I said. "But I like the girl better."
I offered my arm to her. She took it and we walked to our tables. We sat down at the table and a few minutes later the waiter came.
"What would you like today Mr. Caleb and Ms. Ashley?" He said. He had a Italian accent, due to him actually being from Italy.
"Leonardo my friend." I said. I came here a lot. "I told you not to call me Mr. Caleb. Caleb's fine."
"I know." He said. "Would you want to start with a drink?"
"I'll have a Pepsi." I said.
"Make that two." Ashley said.
"This is one of the reasons why I love you." I said. Her and I liked pretty much everything the other did. We had never been in an argument or anything.
"You better love me cause your stuck with me." She said laughing.
"There's no one else I'd rather be stuck with." I said.
Leonardo came back with our drinks. "Do you know what you'd like to eat or do you need more time?" He asked.
"Ashley?" I asked. "Do you know what you want?"
"Yes. I'll have the spaghetti and meatballs." She said.
"I'll have the usual." I said smiling.
"You have a usual?" Ashley asked.
"I really love Italian food. I come here a lot." I said. "It's Chicken Parmesan with basil on top."
"Fancy." She said.
"I try." I said. "I just love this place. I plan on doing some important stuff here."
"Like what?" She asked.
"You'll have to wait and see won't you?" I said.
"Your so lucky I love you or else I would hit you for that answer." She said.
Before I could say anything else our food came. We ate our food while we laughed and talked. Than I noticed five people standing in the doorway.
"Sons of bitches." I said.
"What?" Ashley said.
"Oh sorry. Make a quick glance over your shoulder and look towards the door." I said.
She did. "Why the hell are they here?" She said. "Did you really invite them to the date?"
"No I didn't even tell them about it!" I said.
"Than why the hell are they here?" She asked.
"Like hell if I know!" I said.
"Well figure out why they're here!" She said.
"I'm gonna kick their asses is what I'm going to do." I said as I got up and walked over to them. As soon as I got over there apparently they noticed I was pissed because they all got nervous. "You have five seconds to explain why the fuck your here on my date."
"We have bad news from the scouts." Connor said. He had changed into a silver sports coat, faded jeans and a silver shirt.
"Can it wait till I'm not on a date?" I said.
"It can but Caleb you may want to know now." Cayden said. He has on a yellow track jacket, jeans and a white shirt.
"Yeah man it's really important." Matthew said. He was in jeans, a blue checked plaid shirt and a sea green V-neck.
"I had something really important here to do." I said. "So unless there's a army outside the gates, a city is attacked, Erebus has released the Titans or is here himself don't interrupt me."
"Boomer it's still important." Charles said. He had on a bronze and black plaid shirt and jeans.
"Wyatt I've known you the longest." I said. "Is this at all worth me being interrupted or can it wait till tomorrow?"
He looked at me in the eyes. "Caleb this is important but it can wait till tomorrow morning." He said. He was in his gold and grey checked shirt with a royal purple shirt and jeans. "Just get back to Ashley."
I could see in his eyes that he wanted to tell me now. He was being a good wingman. "Your the best dude." I said telepathically.
"Come on guys let him get back to his date." He said.
They all left and I walked back over to Ashley. "What did they want?" She asked as I sat back down.
"Wanted to tell me something but I told them to wait." I said.
"Was it important?" She asked.
"It was but not to the point to interrupt us." I said.
"You threatened to kick they're asses if they told you didn't you?" She asked.
"No. Each of them say they see something else in my eyes when I'm pissed and they lay off." I said.
"Wait what do they see?" She asked.
"Cayden says he sees the sun explode, Matthew says he sees the ocean dry up and everything in it die, Wyatt says he sees a giant storm that swallows the planet, Charlo says he sees a nuclear bomb go off and Connor says he sees the worst events in history going on and then the universe cease to exist." I said.
"Oh shit." She said. "All they're domains die or at such raw power it terrifies them."
"Exactly. I'm pretty much Death." I said.
"Not true." She said.
"What do you mean?" I said.
"All of their powers are the powers that keep the world running and not destroy it." She said. "You have domain over all their domains but yours is the raw and most powerful form that balances out the good of theirs. Your necessary chaos."
"Your dating the guy who's chaos itself pretty much?" I said.
"Why not? I can heal and balance nature. I'm the opposite of chaos." She said.
"Your dating your opposite?" I said.
"I balance you out too." She said. "And they say opposites attract."
"That goes with that I wanted to tell you." I said. I was reaching into the shadows to grab what I needed.
"And what is that?" She asked.
"Ashley I love you more than anyone else." I said. The box appeared in my hands. "And with the end of the world supposedly about to happen and if we win I just wanted to ask you something important." I got down on my knee and opened the box. "Will you be what balances the chaos in my life and marry me?"
Her eyes got all teary and she covered her mouth. "Yes." She said as she took her hands from her mouth. "You could ask me at anytime in anything and Id still say yes."
I put the ring on her. It was rose gold ring with two rubies and a diamond. Mine was Voidium with a ruby. I spun her around in the air and kissed her.
Leonardo came over when he saw me spinning her. "What is the matter Mr-" He saw the ring and smiled. "Mr and Mrs Boomer."
"Leonardo get over here." I said. He came over and I hugged him. I was really happy. "Thank you for having this restaurant. This place is now where the happiest thing in my life happened."
"Thank you for proposing here!" He said. "Shall I get some champagne?"
"Ashley do you want some champagne?" I asked.
"Yes please." She said. She was looking at her ring. Her eyes were still teary.
"Hey Ashley?" I said.
"Yes?" She said looking up.
"I love you." I said as I pulled her close and kissed her. "You've made me the happiest man in the world."
"You better save this world so we can have the wedding." She said.
"I will." I said. "And you guys can come out now! I know your here!"
Matthew, Cayden, Wyatt, Charles and Connor, along with their girlfriends, put down their menus at different tables. They thought I didn't see them sneak back in. Ha! You cant hide from the hunter.
"Oh my god this is so cute!"Charles girlfriend, Artemis, screamed. Charles met her a year ago. She a short girl with black hair, brown eyes and cream colored skin. "We need to get the dress, the planning and everything! Wait can I be a bridesmaid?"
"I think all of us want to be bridesmaids." Connors girlfriend, Natalia, said. She had blond hair, silver eyes and was in a silver and gold dress.
"At least the girls do." Matthew said. "Who's the best man?"
"If he chooses to accept being the best man it will be who Ive known the longest." I said. I turned to Wyatt. "Wyatt bro we go back. It mean a lot to have you be the best man."
"I'll do it." He said.
"Alright brother." I said as I pulled him into a hug.

"You told them about that night just now didn't you?" My beautiful wife said as she walked in the room.
"Yeah baby I did." I said. She sat down on my lap and I pulled her close. "Best night ever."
"I know. What about the wedding night?" She said.
"Ok maybe second best." I said. I looked into her eyes. "I love you Ashley. Best decision ever was proposing to you."
"My best decision was saying yes." She said as she kissed me. "Now how about you get back to recording?"
