War of the Titans

Thanksgiving

It's been two weeks since Erebus and we've all recovered. Tomorrows the day of the Thanksgiving party. My plan for the day was to go to Charles' for my wrist crossbow, go help with decorations, get Ashley and go back to my place.
I put on my combat boots, jeans and grey shirt under my black army jacket. I jogged over to Charles' and found a note on the door with a box. I opened the note.
"Caleb,
I went to get stuff for party tomorrow. Wrist crossbow is in box. It shoots dark concussive bolts of energy. Also still works as a iWatch.
From Charles."
I opened the box and was impressed. It looked like a iWatch made of rubies, platinum and gold but the screen was diamonds. I pushed a button on the side and a the crossbow folded out of the screen. I put it on my wrist and set it to watch mode.
Next was the decorations. I ran over to the giant building we'd be using and walked in to see almost all the decorations were done. I spent a hour hanging up decorations and than there was nothing to do so I left.
I ran to Ashley's house. She said I could walk in at anytime so I walked in without knocking and saw she was making lunch. I snuck up on her and scared her. She screamed and almost dropped the stuff she was making.
She turned around and hit me. "Caleb Boomer one of these days I'll get you back!" She yelled.
"I'm sure you will beautiful." I laughed. "We still up for tonight?"
"Yeah. I can't wait." She said. She smiled. "You get blankets so I'm not cold watching the movies?"
"Yes." I said. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist. "But just in case your cold now.."
She moved in closer and put her arms around my neck. "Why Caleb are you flirting with me?" She said.
"Yes I am Ashley." I said. "Unless you don't want me too..."
"Caleb don't stop anytime soon." She said. "Do you want some lunch?"
"Don't make more for me. I don't want you to do more than you have to." I said.
"I made extra. It's loaded potato buffalo chicken casserole.." She coaxed.
"In that case.." I said.
"Ha come on my hero. Let's sit down." She said. We ate lunch then went to my house.
"So when you wanna watch the movies?" I asked.
"Later. Let's just go have some fun." She said.
"Well what you wanna do?" I asked.
"Maybe go flying or to the pool." She said.
"Pool sounds kinda good actually." I said. "You wanna do that?"
"Sure." She said. "Fly me to my house to grab my stuff for it?"
I pushed the button and my armor expanded onto my body. "Let's go." I said as I sprouted wings.
We flew to her house real quick and she grabbed her stuff. Then we flew to the pool. The outdoor one was closed since it was getting cold so we went to the heated indoor one.
Now to describe this pool think of the most fancy pool you've seen indoors, make it fancier and put gold and marble everywhere with a 300 foot long and wide pool and you have this.
We left eachother for a minute and got changed. My bathing suit was patterned like my armor with red stripes.
I walked out to see if Ashley was there yet and we actually bumped into eachother. I helped her up and my jaw almost dropped. She was in a emerald green bikini. Then she noticed that my jaw dropped and started laughing at me.
My face turned was turning into the shade of red my bathing suit was. "So um wanna go swimming now?" I said embarrassed.
"Ha sure." She said.
We walked in and the first thing I saw was Matthew and Cayden with they're girls. Now was the time for me to get them. I looked over at Ashley and she saw what I was looking at.
"Can I?" I asked.
"No don't." She said.
"Please. How are we supposed to beat the Titans and Erebus if they're guard is down?" I said.
"Ugh go ahead." She said a little mad.
"Thanks beautiful." I said as I kissed her forehead before starting my attack.
I snuck into the side of the pool where they couldn't see me and dove under water. I swam underneath them and then I grabbed Cayden's foot and Matthew'sand dragged them under. They started freaking out and thrashing everywhere. I swam to the surface and when they came up they were pissed.
"What the hell Caleb?!" Matthew yelled.
"I'm sorry I couldn't resist!" I said laughing. "Even your girlfriends are laughing!"
They both looked over and sure enough Samantha and Courtney were laughing.
"We're sorry but he got you guys good." Courtney said. She saw Matthew looked a little angry still and went over to him. "Aw come on Matthew."
Then I noticed something. He had something around his neck. Made of the same material as his armor. He looked over and gave me a devilish smile.
"Oh shit." I said as he made the water around me erupt and send me into the air.
"Ha sorry but now we're even." He said.
"Even eh?" I said. "If it were even I wouldn't have to do this."
His face paled. "Do what?" He said.
"I'm gonna get you back and it's gonna be better than that." I said.
"How?" He said.
"You'll find out." I said.
Then something burst out of the water behind me. It wrapped its arms around my waist. I turned around to see Ashley.
"Hey there." I said as I put me arms around her. "You seem pretty happy."
"That's because I'm here with you." She said.
Matthew coughed awkwardly. I forgot they were there. "Dang it Matthew why you always ruin the moment?" I said.
Ashley just than realized they were there and took her arms away from my waist. She was bright red and the girls got a kick out of it.
"No come on that was so cute." Samantha said.
"You guys are adorable." Courtney said. "Someone here doesn't do that often." As she elbowed Matthew in the stomach.
All I could see was Matthews eyes go into his "My manhood has been challenged mode." He smiled and pulled Courtney close before giving her a kiss.
"That's my boy." I said as he continued that for a minute.
"Dang Matthew." Was all Cayden said.
"Ok this is really awkward now." I said.
He broke the kiss and was smirking. "What were you saying Courtney?" He said.
She just looked stunned. She spoke after a minute. "You are the most unpredictable person I know."
"Well how about we actually swim like we came to do?" I said. "Race ya Cayden?"
"I'm game." He said.
"Matthew you ref." I said.
We waited a minute and the girls were at the edge and cheering.
"You got this Cayden!" Samantha yelled.
"Beat him Caleb!" Ashley yelled.
"On your mark. Get set. Swim!" Matthew yelled.
Cayden and I were off in a instant. We got to the middle of the pool before he started to lose just a little speed. I took that chance and sped ahead of him. He noticed this and poured on the speed but it was to late. I was at the end before he got made it halfway to where I was. I started swimming back and was a quarter of the way before he reached the end.
He was halfway there when I made it back to the finish.
"We have a winner!" Matthew yelled.
"GG Cayden." I said as he got here and was out of breath.
"G... G." He said panting.
"Remember I told you I can swim for over 8 hours without being tired?" I said.
Ashley swam over and gave me a hug. "Great job!" She said.
"Thanks." I said as I wrapped my arms around her waist.
"Caleb they're right here." She said.
"They can get over it." I said. "Or we can go watch the movies now?"
"Let's do that." She said. "See you later everyone."
"See ya guys." I said as we were leaving.
We got back to my house and went to my room since I had the big tv. We got all the food and stuff we wanted and started the movie. It was some chick flick she wanted to watch but I watched it for her.
She was snuggled up to my chest and I had my arms around her. About halfway through the movie she turned around and we were nose to nose.
"I wish I was the girl in these movies." She said. "They're so beautiful and they're always so happy and fall in love with the right person."
"You are better than them." I said. "You are more beautiful and better in every possible way."
"Aw thanks." She said blushing. There was a pause before she said anything again. "Caleb do you love me?"
I was shocked she asked that. "Ashley of course I do." I said. "Never doubt that."
She smiled and I saw tears in her eyes. "I love you too Caleb." She said.
Now or never I thought. I leaned in and kissed her. She was really shocked but kissed back.
"I love you." I said.
"I love you too." She said. "Though I could go for another kiss.."
"Your wish is my command." I said before I kissed her again.
We finished watching the movie and it was late. I decided to get Matthew back now. I put my helmet on real quick and tried to find some huge spiders in the forests outside the city. The shadows told me where they were and I had the shadows transport them to Matthews bedroom.
I turned to Ashley. "You wanna stay here?" I asked.
"Yes. I don't want this to end." She said.
"Good night than Ashley." I said. "I love you." Then I gave her a goodnight kiss.
"Good night Caleb." She said. "Oh and before I forget.." She said before she kissed me again. "There's your goodnight kiss."

I woke up and noticed Ashley was gone and went to go see where she went. I found out she was actually making breakfast. I walked in and she saw me.
"I was gonna make a nice surprise thanksgiving breakfast but I see your up." She said.
"Aw thanks Ash." I said.
"Well this'll done in a minute so grab the plates and stuff." She said.
"As you wish master." I said.
"Oh shut up." She said laughing.
"So today's the party. You want me to fly you back to your place after this so you can get ready?" I asked.
"Sure." She said.
We ate breakfast and I flew her over to her house. I dropped her off and than flew over to my place to get ready.
I grabbed all my stuff before taking a shower. When I was done I put gel in my hair and than got in my suit. I put on my crossbow and decided to go out. I realized before hand that I didn't have my armor so I grabbed the little piece for it to expand on me and went out.
I got to the dance hall and saw Matthew and Cayden out front. I walked over to them and we started talking.
"Hey boys." I said as I walked up. "Nice suits." Matthew was in the suit he picked out at the mall the other day and Cayden was in his suit, a white suit with a white shirt and gold striped tie. "You waitin for Samantha and Courtney?"
"Yeah. How bout you?" Matthew said.
"Of course." I said. I saw Courtney and Samantha behind them sneaking up to jump Matthew and Cayden. "But hey who knows maybe your dates are almost here."
"I doubt it. You know how long it takes for them to get re-" Cayden said before Samantha jumped him and Courtney jumped Matthew.
"What about it taking us so long to get ready?" Samantha said.
"Ok ok I get it." Cayden said. "I'm sorry."
"Nice dresses girls." I said. Samantha was wearing a nice gold and white dress and Courtney was wearing a sea blue dress to match Matthews suit.
"Thanks Caleb." They said.
"You boys look great too." Courtney said. "I wish I could take a picture of this but we don't have phones."
"About that..." Matthew said as he reached into his pocket. He pulled out what looked like a couple iPhones. He gave one to each of us. Mine was red and black with my Void symbol on it. "I had Charles make some of these."
"Aw Matthew I love it!" Courtney said before she gave Matthew a kiss on the cheek and he turned red. "It's pink and blue. My two favorite colors!"
"Mines white and gold." Cayden said.
"Mines pink and gold." Samantha said.
"Thanks Matthew." I said.
"They all have eachothers numbers in them." He said. "I have one for Ashley and Wyatt and his his gf too."
"I'll take Ashley's and give it to her when she gets here." I said. Matthew handed me a pink and white iPhone. "Thanks. Now let's get a picture when the rest of us get here."
We waited a few minutes before Wyatt and Rachel showed up. Wyatt was in a royal purple suit with a gold shirt and gold and purple striped tie. Rachel had on a nice royal purple dress to match.
Matthew gave them their phones when they got there. Wyatt's was purple and gold and Rachel's was purple and pink.
"Ok so all were waiting for is Ashl-" I said before my jaw hit the floor. I saw Ashley coming towards us in her beautiful dress.
"Caleb?" Matthew said. "What's the matter?" Than he tracked where my eyes were. "Oh wow."
"What?" Everyone said. Than they saw Ashley too.
"Damn Caleb." Cayden said. "You lucky son of a bitch."
"I won't even get mad from that." Samantha said. "She looks beautiful!"
Ashley got over to us and was confused why we were all staring. She was in her dress and had her makeup all down. She didn't even need it but she did it anyways. She dyed her hair completely blond with the exception of pink highlights. "What?" She asked.
I was still dumbstruck but Courtney managed to answer for me. "You look great!" She said. "I mean look at what you did to Caleb over there."
She looked over at me and saw I still was dumbstruck. She started laughing at me before she came over and put her arms around my neck. "I'm guessing I look good?" She said smiling.
I snapped out of my state. "Yes! You always do but today you look amazing!" I said.
"Well you look good too Caleb." She said before she gave me a quick kiss.
"I love you." I said real quick before remembering the others were there. "Oh yeah um hey guys. We should get the picture now."
"Ok. Hey kid!" Matthew called some kid over and asked him to take our picture. All the girls were wrapped up in the guys arms and Matthew and Courtney got a quick kiss in for it. The next picture I decided I'd get one in with Ashley.
We got the picture, thanked the kid and went inside. Now this place was huge. Bigger than my house huge. This could fit everyone from the city huge. It was made of marble and quartz with chandeliers scattered out to provide light.
We went over to the head table and sat down since we were what the people considered leaders. A waiter came over and asked what we wanted and we ordered. I ordered chicken Parmesan with fillet minion with a thing of wine cause hey why not. Ashley ordered the same thing, Matthew got fillet minion with some crab legs and a Sprite cause he always loved that stuff, Courtney got lobster and wine, Cayden got some pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon with some water and so did Samantha, Wyatt got some bacon wrapped steak with some root beer and Rachel got some chicken parmesan with a thing of water.
The next part was the one I hated. The people voted for us to do a toast and speech and of course guess who got voted to do it? So I got out of my chair and got everyone's attention.
"Hello everyone I hope we're all having a great time tonight." I said. "Now since you people wanted a speech and toast and my friends here seem to be illiterate I'll be the one to give it."
Matthew smiled before yelling "I object! Stop the wedding!"
Everyone got a laugh from that. Now it was m turn. "Well Matthew I don't know who's wedding unless you and Courtney want to tell us all something." I said laughing.
Everyone started laughing from that even Courtney. "Just give the speech already." Matthew said.
"If you insist." I said. I turned back to the crowd. "Now everyone I know times are rough and we all miss our old lives and family. Its been a crazy year here with all that's happened and with what I'm sure you all know by now what me and my friends over here have to do. We have to defeat Erebus, who yes mopped the floor with us, and his Titans. But now isn't the time to talk about that. Today is Thanksgiving!
Now I know you'd like to be back at home with your family for this but I'm sorry that I can't help that. But I can tell you one thing. Look around this room. What I see when I look around this room is my new family. All the people who I'm willing to die for and would do anything for. I am glad to have everyone of you here as my family and I know looking out at all of you that no matter what challenges come we will all stand ready and be able to defeat them."
I grabbed my glass of wine. "To family!" I said as I raised my glass.
"To family!" Everyone yelled.
"That was great Caleb." Ashley said as I sat down.
I looked around the table. "Boys Id like to make another toast." I said. "This one is for us."
"Ok." They all said.
"To brotherhood." I said as I raised my glass.
"To brotherhood." They all said as we made a knocked our glasses together.
Ashley looked at me. "I got a toast for you." She said. She kissed my cheek and said, "To love."
"To love." I said as I kissed her back.
"To love." Matthew and Courtney said as they kissed eachother.
"To love." Wyatt said before he gave Rachel a kiss.
"To love." Cayden and Samantha said before kissing eachother.
"Well now that we started a kissing circle, which by the way only one getting a kiss from me is Ashley, can we eat now?" I said.
"Ha sure Caleb." Ashley said.
We all enjoyed our meal than I decided I'd go around and talk to everyone with Ashley. We went from table to table talking and laughing with everyone. We finally got to one table that had some of the first members of the community. The first guy to ever come into the community, Connor, sat at the head of the table and another five people sitting there.
"Hey Connor." I said. "Good to see ya man. Happy Thanksgiving."
"Happy Thanksgiving Caleb." He said shaking my hand. He was in a regular black suit with a white shirt.
"So what've you been up to lately?" I asked. He hadn't been seen lately.
"Just kinda traveling." He said. "Trying to see if I can find anything or anyone to help us in the fight against Erebus and the Titans." He said. "I found a kingdom called New Italy."
"Your totally messin with me." I said.
"Nah man." He said. "I also found a place that just seemed... I don't know evil somehow.."
"Connor we will discuss this at a time that isn't now." I said. "But you really are the best of our fighters that aren't well you know destined to defeat Erebus."
"Thanks Caleb." He said. "Anyways I'll see you later. I think you have more people to talk too."
"I'll try and talk to you tomorrow. See ya later man." I said.
I got Ashley and her and I finished talking people and sat back down at the table. Everyone had finished eating and it was time for dancing. The music started playing and everyone got up to go dance.
Ashley gave me a smile and grabbed my hand and pulled me to the floor. We danced for a while and then the music slowed down. Next thing I knew I was slow dancing. Ashley had her arms around my neck and her head against my chest and I had my arms around her waist.
This was one moment I wish lasted forever. We dance like this for about thirty minutes and finally she looked up at me. Her and I looked into eachothers eyes and than I kissed her. I heard a whole bunch of people saying "aw" or "so cute" but I didn't care. We kept dancing until the music stopped.
Then the Dj said they were doing karaoke and I looked over to Matthew.
"Matthew you know what we have to do." I said.
"Leave the night on?" He said.
"Leave the night on." I said. "Now let's roll."
We told the Dj what song we wanted and him and I grabbed the mics.

Caleb's POV
We finished and sat back down. It was almost time for it to end so we had dessert. Mine was a chocolate cake with melted chocolate poured on it. Ashely's was the same as mine, Wyatt and Rachel had some velvet cake, Matthew had some food he used to eat in Switzerland and Courtney too and Cayden and Samantha had vanilla ice cream sundaes.
We finished our dessert and the party was over. We all left and Ashley came back to my place. Her and I fell asleep watching a movie. I'd have to say it was the best thanksgiving ever.
