The next morning we all got up and met at the forge.
Wyatt walked in sporting amethyst, gold and silver Knight armor. It had designs of lightning bolts in gold and silver while the rest of the armor was amethyst and the helmet was pretty much the same. He had a amethyst handled mace with silver and gold as the head of it, two dual swords that had amethyst hilts with a silver guard on one and a gold guard on another but the blade he made look like a gold and silver lightning bolt, and his final weapon was a spear that the handle was gold studded with amethyst with a silver point that was reinforced with bronze.
"Ok first order if business, Wyatt you look pretty Bad-A." I said. "Now to the serious conversation. We need to check out the rest of the city. Need to get all our bearings down and make some defenses. Get the gates to work so we can close off the city from mobs or do something."
"Ok let's get to business." Wyatt said.
We checked the city and found more materials and looked at the temple. It had some sort of prophecy or some legend on the wall but I didn't have enough time to read it. The temple had a map of the city though. Turns out the city had a farm and mine. I sent Matthew and Cayden to go find those while Wyatt and I went to get the gates working.
"How many others?" Wyatt said.
"What?" I said turning around to face him.
"How many more people are in here?" He said. "How many more days will we be stuck here? How many people know this has happened?"
"Wyatt I don't know. The only thing I know now is that we all need to stick together or were going to die. We will go back to spawn and leave a message for others to come here." I said. "Let's just focus on the gate for now."
"Yeah.. Let's focus on the gate." Wyatt said.
We found the mechanics room for the gate. We were going down in the room to the control unit when we heard a groan and some bones moving.
"Wyatt did you hear that?" I asked.
"Yeah. I don't like this." He said.
"Weapons out." I ordered as I took out my warhammer and took out his spear.
We traced the noise till we got to the main room. I gave him the signal to stay quiet and that enemies are ahead. I opened the door slightly and saw all of them. Multiple zombies and skeletons, all of which were in armor, blocking the controls to the gates. The levers were broken so we'd need to fix those but first we need to kill the mobs.
"Wyatt.. Company." I whispered. "Get your weapon ready. When I say three go in."
"Got it." He said.
"One.. Two.. Three!" I yelled as we burst through the door. I slammed my Warhammer into a zombies head, or at least what was his head, then rolled under another zombies strike and slammed my hammer into his skull which shattered from the force.
Wyatt spun his spear around and brought the tip down to the floor and swept it up to impale the nearest zombie. He then slammed the butt of the spear into another zombies face before spinning the spear tip around decapitating the zombie with the spear tip.
Skeletons took aim at him but before they could fire I swung my hammer and in one strike took out both of them. I turned around to be nose to nose with a zombie. Before I could react to dodge the zombie went to strike but a spear stabbed through in and impaled the zombie.
"Thanks!" I yelled.
"No problem. Someone's gotta save your ass." Wyatt said laughing.
"Hey if it weren't for me you'd be a pin cushion." I said.
"Ok let me just turn on some lights down here." Wyatt said as started turning the lights on.
"Well we can't fix the gate yet." I said. "Grab the armor and weapons from these guys so we can melt them down."
We gathered all the stuff and noticed a chest nearby with some redstone. We grabbed that and decided to head to Matthew and Cayden.
"Let's have them make some levers and we can get back down and fix the gate." I said.
We got to the little farm area and saw Matthew and Cayden leading in some animals. They looked up and ran over to us and asked why we had blood on us.
"Umm some armed resistance at the control room. We took care of it." I said. "We need you guys t go make a couple levers. Maybe copper and gold."
"On it. We found the mine. It's loaded!" Matthew said. "Then we found this place. Still had all these animals. We found a pasture and led these guys here."
"Well I'm gonna go crash in my house." Wyatt said. "I mean I was almost shot and ***** was almost zombie food. Meet at gate control room in the morning?"
"Yeah. Night Wyatt." I said.
"Night." Wyatt said.
"You two come back to my place for now. I wanna talk to you about something." I said.
"Got it." Matthew an Cayden said.
As we walked up to my house I don't think Matthew and Cayden could believe how big it was.
"Dude this is yours?" Matthew said.
"Yeah. Anyways let's sit down and discuss something." I said. We sat around the table and I served food. "Now I found this strange metal in my room. It seems to look like my armor but is made of a almost ten times as tough material. Anyone find something like this in theirs ?"
"Something similar. Mine was a ocean sort of color like my armor but was tougher." Matthew said.
"Same. Except mine was more of a solar kind of armor." Cayden said.
"Wyatt must have some in his house too." I said. "Anyone notice how our houses are more grand and extravagant than the others in the city? I don't claim to know why but it's all becoming very weird. We should melt these metals down though and reinforce our own stuff with this."
"Agreed." Matthew said.
"Anyways you guys can crash here if you want to." I said. "Guest rooms are upstairs. Night guys."
As we all went to bed I headed into my room and looked out on the balcony. I noticed something come through the gates. I grabbed my sword and went out to see what it was.
As I approached the figure and prepared to strike it I noticed it was a human. I lowered my sword.
"Hello. I'm not here to hurt you." I said. "You are welcome to stay here. Who are you though?"
"Come on Boomer." He said turning around. It was a guy around 5'8 with a black Mohawk and glasses. He was wearing jeans, boots , a hoodie and bronze colored shirt. "You should know Charles by now."
"CHARLES!" I yelled. "At least your alive. Pick out a house."
He picked out a house that was made of gold and had a lion design on it. Fitting I guess. He did like the story of the Nemean Lion.
"Tomorrow I'll make sure we stop by and get you outfitted in armor. Check for supplies in it. Maybe for a weapon or something. See you in the mornin." I said.
So another day has gone by and one more person has been added to our safehaven. Now as I walk down these empty streets admiring the city I realize that we might actually make it.
