Erebus

Erebus. It had to be Erebus. The others didn't have any weapons or they're armor so they were useless. This is why I had Charles make me a Iron Man like armor that will construct itself on me. I pushed the button and in a few seconds all but my helmet was on me.
Now that I had the armor and my abilities I had the shadows summon my helmet and sword. Erebus sneered as he took a step closer but was I unsheathed the sword and put myself between him and my friends. He stopped walking and laughed.
"Go ahead little hero." He laughed. "You know your no match for me."
I knew this but I didn't care. I'd go down keeping the others safe. He tried circling to get to them but I still put myself between them.
"Matthew get them out of here." I said over my shoulder. He nodded than got them out of there.
"Ha you'd sacrifice yourself for them?" Erebus said. "How noble and honorable."
"Come on White Eyes. It's just you and me now." I said. "Let's end this."
"As you wish." He said. Than he sprouted wings that were only bones that were blood red.
I willed my wings to come out. We looked at eachother for a minute than in a flash like lightning we were off. We flew at eachother and we locked blades. He pushed off than flew up and I followed.
We flew up about thirty feet before he turned around and nose dived at me and tried to strike me with his sword but I rolled out of the way. I decided that it was time to go on the offensive and I started a volley of strikes that he just kept effortlessly dodging before he flew down towards the city streets with me right behind him.
I was chasing him down the city streets above the heads of scared citizens before he turned around and him and I started slashing at eachother. We kept clashing swords and dodging eachother while I tried to keep him above the citizens so he couldn't harm them. Than I noticed something speeding towards us. I pushed off and kicked him back and before he could get react he was tackled and thrown into the air. I looked to see who did it and saw it was Charles in his Iron Man armor. He tossed me a small chain that I could've used as a belt until I swung it towards Herobrine and it extended thirty feet. Damn he is good at this stuff.
The chain caught Erebus in the chin and sent him flying into the air twenty feet. I flew up after him and swung the chain again but this time he dodged. I put it away and pulled out my sword again and Charles and I rushed him. I slashed at Erebus but all he did was block the blade and then when Charles went to get him he threw me at Charles and we both crashed.
He seemed to be getting stronger now. Then it all clicked. He was toying and waiting for the others to get here. Not if I could help it. I flew towards him and this time I swung the chain as I faked a strike with my sword. The chain got him right in the stomach and than while he was dazed I kept swinging it till finally I swung it so it wrapped around his neck and I flew towards the fields by the gates. When I got there I pulled the chain towards me and elbowed him in the face and then punched him towards the ground.
He fell towards the ground and when he hit a giant crater formed where he landed. Charles and I flew down and saw him getting up out of the crater. Right as he got out of the crater a couple arrows of light hit him with some hurricane force winds. He was sent flying back and than lightning struck him when he hit the ground. I turned around to see Matthew, Wyatt and Cayden had gotten here.
"We're here." Matthew said as he drew his daggers. Wyatt grabbed his swords and Cayden got his axe.
Here we were. Five mighty soldiers in arms against the devil pretty much. "How the mighty fall in line." I said as grabbed my scythes.
"I think I should end this now." Erebus said as he walked out of the crater. He looked completely unharmed!
"Charles sit this one out. You don't have any weap-" I said as two blades shot out of the arms of his armor. "Never mind. Now let's end this." With that we all charged.
Matthew, Cayden and Charles all attacked him at once. They all slashed at him and kept slashing at once but Erebus kept dodging. Finally he locked his blade with one of Charles blades and used momentum to throw him at Cayden. Matthew just got mad and a he made icicles form around Erebus and commanded them to all fly at him so he couldn't dodge. They all crashed into Erebus and before we could see what happened to him he charged at Matthew and slashed across Matthews chest plate and left a gash in his chest.
Matthew collapsed holding his chest. Erebus was about to strike him down before Wyatt and I jumped in. Wyatt blocked the strike and kicked him in the chest. He stumbled and I slashed my scythes across his chest before Wyatt jumped over my head and brought both swords down on him leaving two more gashes in his chest. Erebus didn't even notice this, in fact he just got angrier and started striking at us. He brought his sword down and Wyatt tried to block but Erebus just kneed him in the stomach and slashed at Wyatt. Wyatt manage to move as the blade came down where his head was. The blade instead slashed across his collar to his hip leaving a large gash.
I threw my scythes that slashed at Erebus and kept him from Wyatt and Matthew. Cayden and Charles soon were at my side as we charged at him again. This time when we charged his singled out Charles and grabbed him by the throat. He tightened ha grip on Charles' neck and I could see the metal crunching. Cayden rammed into him and knocked him away from Charles. I checked to see if Charles was alive.
He was alive but he needed medical support like Matthew and Wyatt. I made the shadows transport them to the hospital and turned to see Cayden wasn't doing so well. Erebus already had left a gash in his leg and he was trying to keep fighting.
I ran at Erebus and tackled him to the ground. He kicked me off him and than went to stab me. I couldn't do anything. I waited for it all to end. Than Cayden jumped in front of the blade. It left a gash into the side of his chest. Cayden collapsed.
"No, no, no, no!" I yelled as I grabbed my friend and was checking to see f he was alive. He was barely breathing.
"You fools!" Erebus laughed. "You knew not even the old heroes could beat me and yet you still tried. And now look what's become of you."
I felt this rage deep inside me surge forward in a rush of power. I had the shadows transport Cayden to the hospital. I turned around and looked Erebus in his eyes.
The rage I felt was so powerful! I had a dark energy radiating from my body. "I'm dragging you to hell you son of a bitch." I said. I grabbed my sword and ran at him as he ran towards me. We clashed.
Everything happened in the blink of a eye. We both were slashing and dodging each others blows. We locked blades and I pushed off and kicked him in the stomach. I thrust my hand towards him and the shadows erupted around him and threw him into the air. When he came down I stomped my foot down on his chest and kept stomping till I thought he was dead. I spit on his corpse before turning to leave.
I walked a few feet before I was stopped dead in my tracks. I looked down at my chest that had been impaled on his sword. He pulled the blade out and than he walked around to mock me.
"Look at the mighty warrior!" He sneered. "How honorable and brave. Too bad your sacrifice will be for nothing. Goodbye hero." He raised his sword to strike down but a burst of light stopped him.
"ENOUGH BROTHER!" A voice said. I knew that voice. It was Ethos. Another burst of light threw Erebus back.
"Brother." Erebus sneered. He looked at me and back at Ethos. "You will die soon hero. When he cannot save you." And with that he waved his hand and disappeared in a bloodied mist.
"Thank.. You.." I said before everything went black.

Meanwhile back at the hospital.

All the nurses and doctors were scrambling around trying to get Matthew's, Cayden's, Charles' and Wyatt's vitals under control. Erebus had taken them all out so easily. And still nothing from *****. The whole city was waiting to see what happened. All the warriors had taken up arms and we're ready to defend to they're last breath.
The doctors had trouble with Cayden the most. Another inch and the blade would've gotten his heart. They kept using potions and had managed to get everyone healed. Everyone was beaten and barely able to walk but they were ready to get into the fight.
They all got out of they're rooms and met in the waiting room. Before they could leave there was a blinding light and when they looked back they were horrified. There laid the broken and bloodied body *****.
"*****!!!" They all yelled as they ran towards him. He was cut everywhere with deep gashes all across his legs, arms and chest. Then they noticed the giant stab wound in his chest that was gushing blood.
"No, no, no, no come on brother don't die!" Wyatt said as his voice broke and tears starts forming in his eyes. He was the closest to ***** out of everyone. They were like brothers.
"Everyone get out of the way!" The doctors yelled as they grabbed ***** and hauled him off.
Hours went by before the doctors came out. All the city was waiting outside except for Matthew, Cayden, Wyatt, Charles and Ashley, who was crying. The doctor came out and he looked around. He told us that they managed to close the wounds and get him stable. He asked if they wanted to see him and Ashley was the first up and running towards the room.
***** was in a hospital bed on oxygen support and his vitals were borderline. He was bruised all over. Ashley rushed to *****'s side and started crying even more. Than ***** stirred and woke up.

My POV now.

I woke up in the hospital with a oxygen mask and hooked to some other machines. I looked over and saw Ashley crying at my side and the guys next to her. They all looked terrible but they seemed happy that I was alive.
I looked at Ashley. She looked terrible. Her eyes were all red from crying and she looked like she was going through hell. It took all my strength but I moved my hand over and put to on hers. She looked up and I tried to smile at her.
"Caleb Michael Boomer (my name finally) don't ever scare me like that again!" She cried.
"We're glad your ok man. We thought we lost you." Wyatt said. His eyes were red from trying to hold back tears for hours and he was on crutches.
I looked at everyone else. Cayden was on crutches, Matthew looked ok except for the giant gash still in his chest and Charles was good compared to the others. They all seemed beaten and battered though.
The doctor grabbed a potion of healing and gave me a few doses. It was late night before the I could breath on my own and everyone had gone except Ashley.
I noticed my helmet and put it on. I made the shadows bring me another potion. I drank it and accidentally woke up Ashley. I took of my helmet and looked at her.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you up." I said.
"It's ok." Ashley said. "I'm just happy your alive."
"So am I." I said. "So we still up for the party?"
"You almost died and that's your first question?" She asked.
"It's legitimate." I said.
"Yes we are." She said. She was shivering and I realized she was cold.
"Ashley your cold." I said.
"I'm fine." She said.
"Ashley come on." I said. "Just crawl up here. I don't want you getting sick."
"Fine." She said as she laid down next to me.
I wrapped my arm around her and she moved closer and we fell asleep like that. That was the only good thing to happen all day. Before I fell asleep I just looked out my window and saw the city I almost died for.
"And I'd do it again for this city." I whispered. "And I'd do it for her." I said as I kissed Ashley on the forehead before falling asleep.
