Electric Trials

Wyatt POV

I woke up in a hollowed cave with my armor and weapons. Charlo was getting up next to me. He had his armor and weapons. Than we noticed we weren't alone in the room. Two other men were standing at the other end.
One had my armor but his shoulders had spikes that looked like lightning bolts, even the plume of his helmet was shaped like a lightning bolt.He looked like he could crush a boulder, had grey hair and grey eyes though he looked young. The other had a reddish and silvery hair, looked even more bulky than the other and had bronze eyes. He was in bronze and black colored armor that was almost like Charles' but had spikes on the shoulders and had a helmet that had spikes going behind like sparks.
"Heroes. Welcome to your trial." The one in Charles' armor said. "I am Heracles. And this is Zeus."
"Wait but Zeus is the king of the Greek pantheon and Heracles is his son." Charles said.
"The Greeks did what to our stories?" Zeus said. "Caos was always the leader. We are all brothers. The Greeks apparently lied for centuries."
"Ok I don't feel like wrapping my head around this." I said. "What must we do?"
"You must defeat us of course." Heracles said. "When you do you will merge with us and gain our power with yours."
"Oh shit." Charles said.
"Ok let's do this." I said as I grabbed grabbed my swords. Charles drew his spear. Zeus and Heracles drew they're swords and spear as well and we all charged.
Zeus was fast as lightning. Ironic but he was. I barely dodged his slash and stabs before I finally sent a bolt of lightning at him. It made him stagger and I started slashing. Before I could bring the blades down on him lightning hit him and he was gone. I heard lightning strike behind me and than I was kicked in the back. I turned around to see him stand over me and go to stab.
I kicked him in the chest and did his little lightning travel thing. I kept doing this in a circle around him striking each time I appeared. Eventually he had enough and released a wave of lightning around him that knocked me down. I jumped back up and I locked blades as he came down to strike.
We struggled until we knocked eachothers weapons out of our hands. I went for my mace while he went for his sword. The sword looked like Charles' but made of my elemental metal, Stormium. I had no practice really with a mace so I was probably going to die now. Than I noticed something. Heracles had a mace like mine except made of Charles' elemental metal. That gave me an idea.
"Charles!" I yelled. "Give me the sword and take my mace!"
"What?!" He yelled. He wasn't doing well with a sword like I wasn't doing well with a mace.
"Just trust me!" I said. He blasted Heracles back and threw me the sword. I sent lightning at Zeus and threw him the mace.
The sword was perfectly balanced in my hands. The mace seemed to do better for Charles as well. Heracles was getting bashed around and occasionally dodging strikes.
I turned my attention back to Zeus. Only problem was there that he was making a dust storm around himself. I only thought I could control thunderstorms. Apparently I could control all kinds if he could too.
Zeus rushed forward and once again him and I locked swords. Only problem was the dust storm came with him. It clouded my vision. Than I felt a cut on my arm. I got angry and yelled. When I did winds shot out everywhere and knocked away Zeus and the dust storm.
While he was down I lightning traveled on top of him and knocked his sword away. I went to stab him in the arm but he kicked me away.
He grabbed his spear. Than before I could react his sent lightning out the tip of it. The lightning struck my hand and sent my sword flying.
I grabbed my spear as well. We kept firing off lightning bolts from them and attempting to skewer the other. Eventually he did something unexpected.
He had lightning come all around him and energize to form a combat avatar of lightning. It looked like a giant version of him but glowing in the royal purple shade our armor was. I decided to try and do the same
I felt the lightning form around me and I was in a combat avatar. It just took a lot of energy. I may be able to get off one last shot of lightning in this and than Id be done.
We charged at eachother with our spears. We were able to keep the other at bay. I decided it was now or never to finish him. I sent out when a blast of lightning that knocked him over. I cut the stabbed his avatars legs and when it dissipated I stomped on him.
My avatar dissipated. I was barely able to stand so I propped myself on my spear. Than I heard Zeus.
"Nice job Wyatt." He said. He had some blood trickling out the side of his mouth. "You passed."
Than him and I merged. I remember lightning all around and than I was twice as powerful and in his armor. Charles looked like he was about to win his fight though but barely.

Charles' POV

The battle wasn't going my way until Wyatt gave me the mace. Heracles was throwing me around and beating the shit out of me until than. Than I started doing the same to him.
As soon as he adjusted to the situation him and I were at a stalemate. Than we threw down the maces and grabbed our axes. Than we clashed.
Finally I manage to leave a gash in the spot of his leg that had an artery. He than blasted at me and while I was stunned knocked my axes away. I grabbed my bident.
He went to slash again but I swatted the sickles away and they fell out of his hands. Than he levitated into the air and started blasting away with beams. I dodged and blasted him and he fell down. He grabbed his spear and took the combat avatar that Zeus had made. Only his was bronze and looked like a giant version of him.
I did the same. We both charged and tried to strike eachother. We kept dodging until I managed to sweep my spear and knock him off his feet. He fell down and his avatar couldn't get up. Now was my chance. I stabbed my spear into the avatar and when it dissipated I grabbed him and threw him at the other side of the cave.
My avatar dissipated and I walked up to him. He smiled weakly. "Good job Charles. You've passed."
Than we both merged. I felt twice as strong and had his armor on. Ethos appeared at that moment.
"Congratulations." He said. "Now rest. You've earned it." And with that everything went black.
