Chapter 22• How Can Guys Change So Easily?

"And to finish our presentation, we have a short clip that we would like you to watch carefully." I projected my voice and turned to the teacher to silently ask her to press play. Smoothly, the video started on the giant whiteboard and the lights were also turned off by a fellow class member. I looked around the classroom and everyone was watching intently, well almost.

I looked over to Bridget, Michelle, Noel, Ryan and Mike and everyone smiled at each other. We were the last group to present. Being the last group, we had an extra week to put some final touches for the presentation, but Mr. Larding had already checked that it was completed. Believe it or not, a lot of hours was put into the presentation by all of us, most of the time it took was done when we weren't as a group.

Once the video finished everyone clapped. Well not everyone because it was last period and everyone wanted to go home. Mr Larding praised us all, and we all took a seat. Shortly after we had finished the bell went. I walked with Bridget to my locker and hers.

"D'you need a ride?" She asked quickly while shoving some random books into her bag.

"I'm stopping by the bookstore so i'll walk, thanks anyway." I smiled at Bridget before we both waved and walked off in different directions. As I was walking in the direction to the nearest QBD, the roar of a motorbike came from behind me. I turned around as the sound was getting louder and saw a green sports bike shot past me, at an unsafe speed, for sure.

I continued walking but only a moment later another motorbike engine sounded, getting closer and closer just like the other one. When it got close enough and I heard it slow down, then I chose to look. A shine in the black bike caught my eye and I stopped myself to continue looking at the bike as it was coming to a stop just ahead of me. I looked up to the rider at the perfect time to see a guy pull his helmet off his head. But before his helmet was even off, I realised that it was Mr motorbike-owning-bad-ass-Hunter. By that I mean Blake.

"What are you doin'?" I asked casually. In my confused state I'm sure Blake sent me an amused look.

"What are you doing?" He retorted with a smirk.

"I asked you first." I decided to play along.

"Fine, but if I don't know what your doing then I ain't gonna offer you a ride,"

Damn you Blake Hunter. I always wondered if there was a reasonable guy alive. Guess I haven't found him yet.

I sighed in defeat. "I'm walking, what does it look like?" I said stubbornly, but my inner-self was nervous because I was talking to Blake. Don't ask why. Its because he scares me. What? He's not scary... just... I rack my brain for a possible explanation. I quickly stop when I realise an explanation really isn't what I need.

"It looks like maybe you don't want a ride...?" He asked in a teasing yet curious manner.

"Uh... ok, yea, I guess I need a ride. But I'm not going home, just so you know."

Blake smirked. "Where to then? What if I don't want to go where you want to?"

My eyes widened at him. Where would he take me? Is he just teasing or being serious? If I agree to his offer, would he actually drive us off to somewhere without telling me?

"You know what... It's fine I can walk. Thanks for-" Blake cut me off.

"No. I was joking. Get on and I'll take you where you needed to go." Blake blurted with a serious, stone hard look on his face.

"I- uh- ok." I stuttered. I blushed while walking towards him.

"So where is it you were walking to?" Blake finally asked, handing me a spare, shiny helmet from a compartment that I would be sitting on. A smirk was growing as the tension was easing.
